About the Podcast -
The Nest of Horrors Podcast is a short horror story telling podcast in the style of nosleep and creepypod. We make short horror stories submitted to us by authors and we create full cast audio productions, complete with music and sound design.
Distribution -
The podcast is available on all podcast apps, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts.
Compensation - (Please Read)
In general we aim to keep costs as low as possible as the podcast isn't making money so any costs are out of pocket, that being said if you are looking for compensation of any kind you are free to bring it up and it will be considered.
Before Auditioning -
Our podcast is more about quality rather than the quantity, and is for this reason we have some requirements that you need to meet before you submit an audition;
A high quality microphone, we will not accept auditions recorded on a laptop or headset mic, I wish we could but quality is important to us.
Minimal background noise, it can be hard to have no background noise without a booth or a low noise floor microphone. Thankfully small amounts of noise can be covered up with music and sound design so we're not expecting perfection but make sure it's minimal.
Communication, there is a time frame within which we prefer to have the current episode finished by, not being able to finish on time is not that big of a deal as long as you make us aware so that we are not guessing as to what is going on.
Patience and cooperation, if we choose you for a role, and you submit an audio that has issues with your acting, or background noise (eg traffic or dog barking) we will ask you to rerecord until we are happy with the result, if you fail to cooperate we will give the role to someone else. we are serious about this project and we expect you to be as well.
Casting -
We will not cast anyone until the casting call is closed, which means you are just as likely to get the role regardless of when you submit the audition.

The house is burning. Only two of us made it out. There were six at the start of the evening. Seven, I suppose. That was the entire problem.
I noticed that Kay’s glass was still untouched from earlier. “Hey, where’s Kay?” I asked.
“Where is it? What did this?”

“We can’t see it. We can’t know about it. You and I thought we were holding hands when it was between us. This is all a game to it. We don’t know how to play. We can’t even see the board!”
