This public casting call will last until 10/7/2024. We are looking for a female native Japanese-speaking voice talent to bring the character Rei Ayanami to life. This is an unpaid opportunity. We fully support NAVA’s AI Rider and ensure AI protections for all talent auditioning.

About the Project:
A group of artists, driven by their shared passion and love for Neon Genesis Evangelion have dedicated their personal time and efforts for the last 8 months to collaborate together on this fan project. Their goal is to recreate iconic moments from the original 90’s anime tv show, in high quality Hollywood level CGI using Unreal Engine 5. Since the team has finished working on Rei, we plan to release a roughly 1-2 minute long teaser of the character model in motion for which we require a talented VO artist to narrate over the script we have written for it.
Led by Indrajeet Sisodiya, a senior compositor and CG generalist at Pixomondo, Toronto who has worked on major productions such as Halo, The Mandalorian, Star Trek, and more.

Character Description
Rei is a withdrawn and emotionally detached figure (silent and stoic). Her lack of socialization is evident in her interactions with everyone, which often comes off as cold and distant. However, as the story unfolds, glimpses of her humanity begin to emerge, showing some feeling beneath her reserved exterior as she explores abstract concepts of what it means to be a human.
