Need Bill Jackson Voice
Project Overview
We need someone who can do a convincing impersonation of Bill Jackson the famed Chicago children's television host. He was a tremendous inspiration for our own show, Kidsville Hotel, and during our landmark 50th episode we thought it would be fun to have his character BJ make an appearance in puppet form. While Bill Jackson enthusiastically gave us his blessing to use his likeness and character, he unfortunately won't be able to record the voice for us. That's where you come in!
We'd like a voice that sounds similar to BJ's and effectively captures some of his mannerisms. If you're not familiar with the character BJ, you can watch him in action in the videos listed below. We really want this to turn out well so we're offering compensation via PayPal in an effort to draw out the best possible talent. BJ was the desk clerk for the Gigglesnort, a hotel whose puppet residents always kept things entertaining. In our show, BJ has become a representative for the National Hotel Association and is arriving to present a special award to the Kidsville Hotel. BJ is a very likeable character with a warm and friendly personality. He can become a bit flustered when faced with the antics of his puppet friends, but for the most part he's a pretty easy going guy. Use the reference videos listed above in the project description to hear what BJ sounds like.
(warm and inviting) Ah! Do come in, do come in and welcome to the Gigglesnort! I'm sure you'll find that your room is nice and cozy!
(excited) Well that sounds good! I think I'll head over there right now and have a little taste. All this traveling has built up quite an appetite. (chuckles)
(speaking in front of an audience) Thank you, thank you. It truly is an honor to be here with you all and to present this award to a hotel that I believe truly deserves it.
