My Romance Academia
Project Overview
Hey everyone! My name is Vesperia, the head director of the up & coming YouTube channel Vesperia Productions. We're currently working on a number of Minecraft Roleplays, Animated Series & more! My Romance Academia is one of our many projects, the series is currently speculated to be over three seasons long- so buckle in, this will be a long ride.
Before we get into the plot, I'd like to say that this series will not be for the faint of heart and I don't reccomend joining unless you can handle serious or triggering topics. We will not bring these topics up in a light of joking manner, but more to shed some light on the darker and serious aspects of the world. Topics like attempted suicide, rape, abuse, alcohol/drugs and more will be brought up. If you cannot handle these, please don't audition. Also, be aware, the majority- if not all- roles will have to be able to curse/swear.
So Vesperia, what is My Romance Academia?
My Romance Academia or MRA is a MHA (My Hero Academia) inspired animated series that follows original characters and an original plot. In the school of UA, the two hero classes class 1A and 1B look to be the same- but are extremely diverse in character and morals. After class 1B's teacher dies and the pro-hero Hocus is set up to take over the class, she leads her students down a questionable path with questionable morals. We follow two main characters, Danica from class 1B who is known to be aggressive and outcasted by the rest of the class. And, Alcyone from class 1A who is the stereotypical popular, perfect guy. What will happen when these two meet? Secrecy, betrayal and love aren't known to be a great match up- but these two sure make it work.
More Details
If by now you're intrigued, you should take a look at our many, many roles. This project will require a large team, however we're trying to loosen it as best as we can. If you'd like to be a voice actor, you can sign up for as many roles as you like- however you will only get casted to 2 roles at most- this includes fields like directors, writers, etc. One person can only have 2 or less jobs.
Requirements
-ALL must have Quotev.
-Voice actors can use any mic, including mics on laptops or phones as long as they are clear. Minimal or no background noise.
-Video editors, writers, animators and artists don't need any specific software. If it works- it works. As long as it works and ends up looking decent- I'm okay with anything.
-Writers must know how to collaborate and work as a team.
-Directors don't need prior experience, but must know how to manage their team. This includes creating schedules on platforms like google docs, notion, etc.

-Other (Other falls into the catagory of anything else we may need.)
Requirements
-We want an anime style OR a miraculous ladybug style, not sure yet it will come down to whatever is easier for the artists and animators.
-Any software is okay as long as it works.

We will be hiring 5-12 animators for the series. We're unsure whether it will be a fully animated series or half animated. This will be discussed with the animators.

We're looking for 3-5 people to assist in advertising. This includes plans for social media, social media content ideas, marketing strategies, etc. They will also assist in content writing and what-not. Please include a resume! You don't need any previous experience.

Alcyone is one of the main characters. He's under a lot of pressure as the class representative of class 1A. Through everything, he's the one people look up to for problem solving and help.
Quirk : Makes people tell the truth if they are to lock eyes. If done too much, it will have the opposite affect.
"Well, if it doesn't work.. try something else. The only thing that stops you from success is yourself. Take lifes hand and make it follow YOU." (Supportive, enthusiastic, determined.)
I- I can't. I can't do it. I've been trying and lying and telling everyone it's okay but I don't know where Nienna went. *Pause* I- I don't know. (He's crying here, the pressure cracked him and he's spilling his heart out to Danica. This here is one of the darker scenes, they're on the terrace of his dorm room and he's contemplating killing himself.)
I'd do it. I'd do it in a heart beat. If you just- If you asked me to, that is. We could run away together. (His admiting his love for Danica.)
Danica is sassy, passive aggressive and all around hot headed. She tries her best to maintain her temper and be friendly, but she finds that extremely hard. She's always been kind of lonely, scared to reach out to people- but not wanting to be alone her whole life. Her younger sister was killed by a pro-hero and one of her biggest regrets was not being able to save her, this affects her a great amount.
Quirk : Can summon mythical beings to aid her in battle. If used too much, they can turn against her/she'll lose control of them.
Danica : "She died. She died that night and I just- I watched. I didn't *gets choked up* I didn't even help her. Listen, Sakamoto-"
Alcyone : "It's Alcyone."
Danica : "*Pauses with hesitance* Alcyone. I couldn't help her. But you and I- we can save both class 1A and class 1B"
NOTE: In this line, she's lying to him. Not about her sisters death, but she has absolutely no intention of saving anyone.
"Oh shut the hell up, I can't name one person in this room who actually cares about you." (Irritated)
"Listen, Geraldo. You're sweet. Really, you are. And, I thank you so much for being here with me but I just- I can't marry you." (Trying to break the news gently, however make her still sound a little irritated.)
Geraldo is your favorite yandere, he's set in an arranged marriage with Danica and will go to any measure to make her his. Him and Danica are set in an arranged marriage, coming from a traditional, wealthy family- his parents offered Danica's a deal they couldn't turn down.
Quirk : Shapeshifter, can only stay in shapeshifted form for 10 minutes at a time between 10 minute intervals.
"It could be you and me baby, we could show them somethin' they'll never forget." (Manic, determined, amusing)
*Manic laughter*
"You showed me kindness, maybe you don't remember it- but it happened. That's why I love you. That's why I need you to be mine." (Pleading, but still manic.)
Nienna is the classic popular girl of class 1A. She works hard and is well liked by the students, when she kids kidnapped by the villian team- everyone goes haywire trying to find her. She's peppy and upbeat with every word, very optimistic.
Quirk : If she locks eyes with you, she can gain access to your memories and even replay or control them. The more she uses her power, the less she remembers of her own past.
Meissa : "If I may ask, why do you hate me?"
Nienna : "I don't hate you silly! I just wish you hadn't made it into UA. You don't deserve to be here." (Here, she manages to be cold and upbeat at the same time, as if this point was a given.)
"I've never been good enough. I'll never be good enough- but that's okay. I've come to terms with my failure." (This line is hesitant, upbeat, but it seems like she's trying to assure herself of this.)
"I don't care what other people think- you and I are all that matters right now. We're having fun--- let go, be free!" *Giggles*
Meissa is confident, a hard worker who doesn't let her emotions show. Her parents died when she was little and her deepest desire is to avenge them- it's the only thing she thinks about. (From class 1A)
Quirk : She can raise the dead to aid her, however if she uses her power too much or for too long, she starts to get darker thoughts that may lead to darker actions.
"If I may ask.. why do you hate me?" (She sounds hesitant here, something that is extremely rare for her.)
"If you want this, if you really want to be here right now- in this school for heroes and justice, like you say you do. I don't understand why you aren't taking it seriously. You aren't read for this." (Cold, demeaning.)
"You're my rival, nothing else. I couldn't care less about what happened to you, today, tomorrow or in five years. You're nothing to me." (Cold, demeaning.)
Out of everyone in class 1B, Chandra is the most trusted. She's the class representative and a motherly figure to the rest of her class. She's a great planner and even better with strategies, she's definitely the strongest in the class.
Quirk : Can create weapons out of energy, however if she uses her ability too much, the place they land becomes inconsistent.
"Trust me. Have I ever let you guys down before? No. And I don't plan to now." (Determined, she knows class 1B trusts her and she's ready to make them proud.)
"I let you down. *Pause* I let all of you down. *Cries*"
"No! Get off of me! *cries*" (A man is attempting to abuse her. She has a long history of both regular and sexual abuse. {I'd like to be clear that none of that will be shown on the show, the farthest we'd go is a black screen with a few lines, or blacked out figures. Although even that, we aren't planning on doing.})
Callisto is the typical quiet boy stereotype. He doesn't talk to anyone except Nienne- mainly because she refused to let him keep alone all of the time. He's a class 1A student and the only student who questions and even looks down on Alcyone. He has a twin sister named Calica.
Quirk : Can turn the room/up to 100 feet in front of him into total darkness. If he uses his power too much, he will go blind for 5 minutes.
"You all suck up to this guy like he's your God, it's demeaning." (Irritated, talking about Alcyone.)
"I- er, uh- whatever." (Nervous, then irritated)
Callisto : "Let her go before I rip you to pieces, you dumbass." (Nienne was just captured by a villian and he's angry as hell.)
Everin : "That's not very hero-like-"
Callisto : "I don't give a shit, she's my only friend and there is no way in hell I'm losing her."
Everin is Alcyone's best friend in class 1A. He has terminal cancer, but wishes to become a hero and save the lives of others before his illness takes him. He's calm, determined and motivated..
Quirk : Can heal wounds and illnesses, although the more he does it, the shorter his lifespan becomes.
"I've tried so hard, for so long. I've stood strong- held my head high- I'm not going to stand by while she suffers- while they all suffer- are you out of your damn mind?" (Panicky and anxious)
"You don't understand how amazing your life is until you realize how close you are to it ending."
Echo is stubborn, snarky, sarcastic and entittled. Hes one of the best students at UA as well as the vice representative of class 1A.
“The fact you think I give a shit is hilarious.” [Improv]
“I have no clue what I’m doing with my life at this point.” [Monotone with a sigh at the end]
“Where am I. Who am I. What am I.” [Bewildered, AKA: What the fuck-]
Rainer grew up alone all of his life, he's never really known any attention or affection- even when he was little, his parents were always gone and he ended up basically raising himself. He's from class 1A, extremely entittled- think Draco Malfoy meets Todoroki.
Quirk :He has control over the sky and weather, however if he uses it too much- he loses control and things can get crazy.
"This is rediculous. We all know the truth- we all know that it has to be one of us."
"I don't think I've ever met someone so obnoxiously naive."
"Would you just shut up already? I can't listen to you speak for one more second."
Alahal is one of three tripplets- the only one who made it into UA. He's charming and finds romance and love necessary for life- something he needs to find as soon as possible. He's a part of class 1A.
Quirk : He uses a deck of cards- 150 designed by him- to tell the future. The more he uses it however, eventually the future will become blurred and inconsistent.
"Pick a card- any card." (Charming, smug)
"Oh come on now baby, you can't still be mad over that- oh, shoot, you are. Listen, I'm sorry."
"How could you let this happen?" (Make this angry- extremely angry.)
Setara is extremely playful and flirtatious, although when alone she seems out of it and is extremely jumpy. She's a class 1A student who shows a lot of potential and extreme confidence.
Quirk : When she touches people, she can disable the use of the body part she touched for 15 seconds, however if she uses her power too much, she will become paralyzed for two minutes. The more she uses her power, she slower her body gets until said paralyzation occurs.
Setara : "Oh Rainer, honey, come back." (Pouting)
Rainer : "I. Don't. Like. You."
Setara : "You don't like me YET." *Giggles*
"You--" *Shaky gasp* "You aren't human." (She's finding out one of her friends- Esteban- is an AI)
"Sometimes, I'm scared I won't be as good as you guys. I'm not smart like Alcyone, I'm not optimistic like Nienna, I'm not strong like Meissa- hell I'm not even stubborn like Rainer. I'm just *hesitates* me."
Evandera is a class 1A student and an aspiring reporter. She's only attending UA to make her parents happy, however her dreams lie with journalism. She shows this by taking care of a school wide blog.
Quirk : She can alter your perception of reality by touching your hand, however the more she uses it, the more she loses touch with her own reality. (Think intoxication.)
"Anything for a good story!" *Giggles*
Evandera : "You-- You are-- oh my God. I need this on the record--" (Shocked, scared, frantic)
Lonama : Not so fast Missy. (Lonama touches her head, using her quirk.)
Chressa is calm and filled with potential, however, she lacks teamwork.
Quirk : Self duplication
"There are more of me then there are of you. I'd reccomend leaving."
Aquila is calm and rational, she's in class 1B and her parents are known to be amazing pro heroes- however, what no one knows, is that not everything on the outside is the same as whats on the inside.
Quirk : Can summon a sort of healing power from the moon, using a staff to direct and capture its energy. However, if she uses it too much, she becomes EXTREMELY tired, quickly.
"Not everything is as set in stone as you think. Not even pro-heros--- not even my parents." (Calm)
"I just want you to know.. I've had the best time of my life, being with you." (Happy, relieved)
"*Yawns* If I use my power again, I'll be out like a light." (This is after over-using her power, she's extremely tired.)
Eesther is your typical e-boy. (Kidding, mostly.) He's well trusted and liked by class 1B, helpful and realistic.
Quirk : Can grow bunny-like features as well as use bunny inspired powers. If he uses this too much, he'll gain the mental state of a bunny as well.
"I swear to fucking God. If you call me bunny boy one more time, I will rip you to shreds." (Irritated, mad)
"Oh yeah, your life is so terrible. *Scoffs* People don't know what it's like to lose something until they've lost everything." (Dissapointed, annoyed.)
*Try making bunny-like noises*
Sydra is from class 1B, determined, motivated, aggressive and cocky. She knows what she wants and she'll do anything to get it, a lot of people find this inspiring- although class 1A finds it more annoying than anything.
Quirk : Can use blue fires, however if she uses it too much she'll get burned herself.
"Of course I know what I'm doing- what do you think I am? A damn child?" (Irritated, someone is questioning her abilities.)
"Romance? Fuck that, I want to win this bitch." (Determined, she doesn't care about romance- she just wants to succeed.)
"You don't know the half of it." (Slightly hesitant, vague.)
Esteban is an AI bot created by class 1B used to gain the trust of class 1A. He's a spy with little to no emotion, although he's shown to be smug and demeaning in battle.
Quirk : He's an AI bot.
"That information is non-applicable in this situation. My apologies." (Almost blank, he's TRYING to sound human-like and that should show through.)
"I understand where your coming from, I'm sorry that I couldn't have done more to save dear Nienne." (Almost blank, he's TRYING to sound human-like and that should show through.)
"You can't beat me. I know everything about all of you- your weaknesses, you abilities, your past- *Chuckles*" (He sounds slightly smug here, he knows he's won before the battle has even begun.)
Percival is the cinnamon bun of class 1B, he's naive, trusting and easily persuaded. Although, it always seems he has a good idea up his sleeve.
Quirk : He can control and talk to plants. However, if he uses this power too much, he may start to get hallucinations having to do with plants.
"You people are the reason climate change exists." (Here, he sounds more whiny than irritated. Not whiny like a child, but joking.)
"LISTEN TO THE DAMN ROSE BUSH." (Everyone is shouting over each other and one of his plants are trying to speak to him.)
Calica is the twin of Callisto and one of the more popular people from class 1B. She's talented, however, it doesn't seem she actually cares very much about becoming a hero.
Quirk : If she comes in contact with your blood, she can cause you to fall in love with her. However, if she uses her power too much or for too long, she'll start to fall in love with everyone affected.
"I got you now. *Giggles* You thought you could get away from me, but you're mine."
"It's funny. When everyone is in love with you, but you've never loved anyone else. Kind of.. sad." (Hesitant, as if dissapointed.)
Eichiro is calm but naive, he's immature but extremely caring for all of his classmates. He's from class 1B.
Quirk : Anyone he touches may fall into a deep sleep, however if he does this too much, it will cause tiredness in himself until he falls into a coma. The more he does this, the longer this coma may last.
"Stop teasing me, Alahal." (Whiny, in between laughter.)
"I don't know who the hell you think you are, to feel so entittled to treat me like shit half of the time." (He's talking to his boyfriend, Alahal. He's mad, they've just fought.)
Marianna is class 1A's teacher, she's strict and calm under pressure and not a lot of emotion is shown from her. Although, she cares greatly for her students.
Quirk : She can summon gold thread from her fingertips which is impossible to break. However, if done too much, it will wrap around her and suffocate her.
"I know you all THINK you've gone through a lot- but I can promise, there is more to come. My job is to help you all prepare." (Calm)
"What do you mean Nienne is gone?" (Calm, yet a slight hint of hesitance should be shown)
Kato is a pro-hero and teacher at UA. He's kind and patient, however when he gets mad- he gets REALLY mad.
Quirk : He can turn into a giant hound creature, up to the size of the UA school. He can also shoot out flames, however this takes a lot of focus. If overused, he gains the mental state of a puppy.
*Bark, make dog/wolf-like noises.*
"Alright students, how to be a hero 101--- you have to want to save people." (He's saying this to the whole class, but is focusing on one person in particular.)
Juan is the most motivated and out there teacher at UA.
Quirk : He can control lightening, however if he uses it too much his aim goes haywire.
"Ready to jumpstart this parade?" (Excited, motivated.)
"Some heroes we call ourselves, we couldn't save our student. *Takes a breath* But, that's beyond us now. We need to rescuse her."
Lonama is the teacher of class 1B, she took over after the previous teacher- whom was only there for a week; Orion- died. She's the main antagonist and leads the starting heroes and soon to be villains of class 1B down a dark path.
Quirk : She can send people into panic attacks if she touches their forehead, if done too much the same affect will come back on her.
"I know honey, it hurts.. it's hard. But I can help you- the heroes don't have your best interest in mind. They're using you- all of you- as a weapon. Don't you want to be a real hero?" (She's trying to persuade the studetns into trusting and following her.)
"Hello everyone! I'm Lonama Nakano, otherwise known as the pro-hero Hocus, I'm a new teacher here at UA however I'm excited to teach you all everything I know." (Excited, but ominous at the same time.)
"You didn't do what I told you to. For that, you have to pay the consequences." (She's angry, but she's keeping her demeaner a cold calm.)
Efnis is hotheaded and quick to anger, she's funny and quick thinking. Think Harley Quinn meets Bakugo.
Quirk : She can summon lava, however if she does this too much, lava may start to come out of her eyes/mouth/etc, burning and injuring her.
"YOU WANNA SEE SOME ACTION? HUH?" (Angry, yelling.)
"Hahahhaha, they call me the Hot-Head, but I don't get it. I think I'm actually quite chill." (This isn't true in the slightest."
Orion was the former teacher of class 1B before he died mysteriously.
Quirk : He could use fire or healing magic depending on the time of day.
"Welcome students, my name is Orion Kikuchi- hero name Eclipse. I can't wait to teach you all everything I know hero wise- however, I want you all to know that here you will learn a lot more than how to be a good hero. You'll learn how to be a good person too. That is what makes a hero after all, right?"
Takeru is a villian, his villian name is the Mad Hatter and his most distinguishing traits are being crazy and manic.
Quirk -
Madness; Once he makes any form of contact with a person, he can turn even the most sane into psychopaths that follow his every command. The drawback of Takeru’s quirk causes him to have a multiple personality disorder.
“I have no words..I can’t believe I had to convince you to not drink candle wax.” [Completely baffled, yet disgusted at the same time]
“You are the reason I question my life choices on the daily.” [Long, dragged out sigh at the end]
“Trying my patience is the worst decision you will ever make.” [Saying this through gritted teeth]
We need extra characters for extra and more minor parts. Note however that some of these parts may take on bigger roles in future seasons.
Include your demo reel/lines of other characters/etc. We're looking for 5+ extras, male and female for both small roles and background roles! This includes characters parents, siblings, extra teachers, villians, heroes, etc!
