My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: The Fandub of Harmony
Project Overview
What is this?
This is going to be a fandub for season 1 of the animated series, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Stick around for the long run if you're cast folks because we plan on dubbing not only the rest of the show but also Equestria Girls.
For those of you unfamiliar with the series, in the kingdom of Equestria, Twilight Sparkle, a studious unicorn, travels to Ponyville to learn about friendship at the urging of Equestria's ruler (and her mentor) Princess Celestia. Twilight and Spike, her dragon assistant, become close friends with five other ponies: Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie. The ponies discover that they represent different facets of friendship, with magical artifacts known as Elements of Harmony. They have adventures and help others in and around Equestria, solving problems in their friendships.
Requirements:
1. Please make sure your microphone is capable of recording your voice without picking up overwhelming background noises or excessive peaking/clipping.
2. You must have a Discord account, as the project will be going into production over there.
3. Your voice files must be sent in a .wav format, though if it ends up too big, .mp3 files will do as an alternative.
4. You need to have a very clear idea of both the character you're auditioning for. Watch the show again if you need a refresher.
5. Open Ethnicity, POC Actors HEAVILY encouraged to audition.
6. For the singing audition lines, it would be appreciated if you had an instrumental track behind the singing so I can get an idea of how your singing voice for the character would sound when put to music

Twilight Sparkle is the central main character of the series. She is a female unicorn pony who eventually transforms into an Alicorn and becomes a princess. At the beginning of the show, she and Spike, her best friend and assistant, move from Canterlot to Golden Oak Library in Ponyville to study the magic of friendship. Twilight represents the element of magic. Before becoming a princess, she regularly sends friendship reports to Princess Celestia. Twilight has a love for books and knowledge, always turning to them when she needs answers. Twilight tries to be rational in unfamiliar situations, however, she can lose her cool under stress. Twilight has a knack for organization and is exceptionally talented at magic.

Pinkie Pie, full name Pinkamena Diane Pie, is an energetic and sociable baker at Sugarcube Corner, where she lives on the second floor with her toothless pet alligator Gummy, and she represents the element of laughter. Pinkie writes and performs many songs, and she is the source of many of the show's comical and cartoonish gags. Pinkie is hyperactive, excitable, quirky, and outgoing, often speaking and acting in non-sequiturs. She warmly welcomes new faces such as Twilight Sparkle and Cranky Doodle Donkey. True to the element of laughter she represents, she loves to make ponies smile and laugh. Pinkie tends to have a lighthearted manner in serious situations. As a result, she is often not taken seriously even by her closest friends, who occasionally call her out on her seemingly illogical behavior. Pinkie frequently performs cartoonish feats, such as eye-bulging, wild takes, and unusually angled cuts into the frame. Pinkie Pie is known for being an avid party-thrower. She's even shown to throw parties on completely random occasions. On occasion, Pinkie Pie shows an insecure side of her personality, doubting her friends or herself. Pinkie frequently performs songs and plays a variety of musical instruments in the series.

Rainbow Dash maintains the weather and clears the skies in Ponyville. As a huge fan of the Wonderbolts, she becomes a reservist member of the elite flying group and eventually a full member. She represents the element of loyalty. Rainbow is extremely competitive and hates losing. Rainbow Dash displays confidence in herself and her physical abilities multiple times in the series. She's known for being brash and brutally honest sometimes, as well as having a mischievous side, particularly when it comes to pranks. Rainbow Dash is often self-conscious in regards to how she appears in front of others. She often dismisses things, activities, and certain mannerisms considered to be feminine, though this is at times merely a front. She's primarily known for her signature flying move, the Sonic Rainboom.

Applejack lives and works at Sweet Apple Acres with her grandmother Granny Smith, her older brother Big McIntosh, her younger sister Apple Bloom, and her dog Winona. She represents the element of honesty. Applejack is a brave, reliable, strong, mature, and hard-working pony, although headstrong about doing things on her own. Applejack speaks with a Southern American accent, a thick southern drawl, similar to the accent of the southwestern Missouri and Oklahoma Ozarks, where there is a great number of apple orchards. She has no reservations about getting dirty or messy or having any proper eating etiquette, much to Rarity's dismay. She almost always wears a light brown stetson hat, which she usually removes before sleeping. She is the only one of the six main characters to keep her mane and tail tied back in a "ponytail". Applejack takes great pride in her hat and seldom goes anywhere without it. Applejack is occasionally very stubborn and inflexible, causing her to be hostile toward others or incapable of seeing alternate solutions to a problem. Applejack is often shown to be one of the more empathetic members of the main cast, putting the needs and feelings of others before her own. On occasion, Applejack gets carried away with her empathy, especially with Apple Bloom.

Rarity is Sweetie Belle's older sister and the subject of Spike's long-term crush. Rarity works as both a fashion designer and a seamstress at her shop in Ponyville, the Carousel Boutique. She has a white Persian cat named Opalescence. She represents the element of generosity. Rarity has a love for others' beauty as well as her own. Rarity's mannerisms are similar to those of Scarlett O'Hara, the histrionic anti-heroine of Gone With the Wind. Many of Rarity's lines are rephrased from lines Scarlett says in the 1939 movie. Her vocabulary is formal, and she is prone to use complex words and more sophisticated, refined phrasing than her friends. As a fashionista, she often uses French-based terms in her vernacular. She speaks with a cultivated trans-Atlantic dialect and shares some mannerisms with similarly accented Hollywood actresses, such as Katharine Hepburn. Rarity sometimes gets carried away with her attention to detail. While Rarity cares about her appearance quite a bit, being averse to stepping in mud or risking getting herself messy, she is not above getting her hooves dirty when it comes to helping her friends or creatures in need.

Fluttershy lives in a small cottage near the Everfree Forest and takes care of animals, the most prominent of her charges being Angel the bunny. She represents the element of kindness. As her name might suggest, she is incredibly timid and easily frightened. She has a warm heart though and will try to show kindness towards anyone she meets. Despite her typically shy behavior, Fluttershy occasionally demonstrates more assertiveness and confidence. She's also shown a more aggressive side on rare occasions. Despite being a Pegasus, Fluttershy does not usually help with the weather and does not use her wings as much as the other winged ponies. Fluttershy's special talent is communicating with animals, which she uses to provide them with food, medical attention, and other forms of care when they need it. In addition, a host of animals have taken up residence in her home, which she attends to and looks after on an everyday basis. "The Stare" is the name given to a particular ability Fluttershy employs when dealing with misbehaving animals. This ability is powerful as it can 'control' chickens up to her pet bunny, Angel. However, Fluttershy doesn't really like to use the Stare. Only when someone's life is in danger or to maintain order, the Stare is used.

Spike is a male "pre-teen" dragon. He is Twilight's best friend and number one assistant. He can magically deliver scrolls to and from Princess Celestia with his fire breath, which is featured in much of the show. He also has a huge crush on Rarity. Spike is occasionally sarcastic and sometimes laughs at others' misfortunes, even though he usually means well. Spike is often defensive about his masculinity and dismissive of things he considers "girly," although his outward disdain is often a front.

Princess Celestia is the co-ruler of Equestria alongside her younger sister Princess Luna, and the adoptive aunt of Princess Cadance. In addition to her responsibility of raising the sun, she has also been the teacher of Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer at different periods in time, often addressing Twilight as "my faithful student" while teaching her. She has a pet phoenix named Philomena. Princess Celestia acts as a mentor to Twilight Sparkle. She often does not directly state her goals but rather gives advice to help her student find the answers she needs. Despite being royalty, she often encourages her subjects to relax through the use of jokes and gentle questions. She also shows great patience with any inappropriate behavior towards her. While kindhearted and slow to anger, Celestia's patience does have its limits.

Princess Luna, known as Nightmare Moon in the past, is the younger sister of Princess Celestia. She is also the adoptive aunt of Princess Cadance. After spending a thousand years in the moon as Nightmare Moon, the Elements of Harmony restore Luna to her former self and she returns to rule over Equestria alongside her older sister.
Much like many archetypal, over-the-top villains, Nightmare Moon is overly confident in herself and dramatically declares that the protagonist is a fool or foal for thinking she can defeat her and that the night will last forever. She is portrayed as vicious and maniacal.
As Princess Luna, she displays kindness and offers wise advice to ponies in their dreams when they need it. She also feels remorse for her past as Nightmare Moon.

Apple Bloom is the younger sister of Applejack and Big McIntosh and granddaughter of Granny Smith. Apple Bloom is one of the founding members of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, a club/"secret" society devoted to helping ponies earn their cutie marks, along with Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. She is a brave, independent filly who isn't afraid to get into dangerous situations. For the majority of the show, Apple Bloom's goal in life was to get a cutie mark, having grown sick of being called a blank flank. Despite her independence, she is very close to her sister, Applejack, and enjoys helping her with the farm chores, as well as competing with her in the Sisterhooves Social competition.

Scootaloo is a Pegasus filly. She and her friends, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle form the Cutie Mark Crusaders, a club/"secret society" devoted to helping ponies earn their cutie marks. She is a talented scooter driver. Scootaloo is energetic and tomboyish, much like her idol Rainbow Dash. Although they aren't related, Scootaloo views Rainbow Dash as an older sister throughout the series, much in the same way that Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle look up to their sisters, Applejack and Rarity, respectively. Unlike most foals her age, Scootaloo hasn't been able to master flying.

Sweetie Belle is Rarity's younger sister. She and her friends, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo, form the Cutie Mark Crusaders, a club/"secret society" devoted to helping ponies earn their cutie marks. True to her name, Sweetie Belle is very kindhearted and innocent. Despite this, she is often mischievous, vain, naive, and impetuous. However, Sweetie Belle remains positive and well-meaning in times of crisis, especially if she is responsible. Sweetie Belle has a natural gift for singing, though she's not a fan of the idea of singing in front of a crowd. Sweetie Belle deeply admires her older sister Rarity and tries to show her devotion by helping Rarity with her work and chores. Despite her good intentions, Sweetie Belle's efforts are frequently disastrous, much to the dismay of Rarity.

Diamond Tiara is the daughter of Filthy and Spoiled Rich. She and Silver Spoon are classmates of the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Diamond Tiara is generally shown to be rude, shallow, stuck up, sarcastic, and nasty. Her closest (if not only) friend appears to be Silver Spoon, who often acts as a follower and is usually seen by her side. She sees those without their cutie marks as inferior and tauntingly refers to them as "blank flanks". Despite the Cutie Mark Crusaders often being the subject of her ridicule, she will try to "befriend" them if something is in it for her.

Silver Spoon is the best friend of Diamond Tiara. She and Diamond Tiara are classmates of the Cutie Mark Crusaders. Silver Spoon shares many similar traits with Diamond Tiara such as being snooty, stuck-up, and petty, often calling other ponies without cutie marks "blank flanks". However, she seems to be the follower, with Diamond Tiara being the leader. They share a special hoofshake and Silver Spoon appears to show some genuine concern for her feelings.

He is hard to agitate. Big Mac has a close bond with his sisters and cherishes his relationships with them. Twilight Sparkle's positive, helpful, and humble attitude is contrasted by Trixie's over-the-top boasting and arrogant nature. Trixie reacts poorly to dangerous situations, quickly succumbing to panic and terror. But she is capable of genuine acts of courage despite this. Trixie also has a habit of not recognizing how her actions affect others. Trixie's constant time on the road has made her highly skilled and experienced in how to operate on her travels, such as how to ration money for the trip and the best places to resupply.

She is first shown to be playful and competitive around Rainbow Dash, and she mentions she enjoys a good prank. However, she is also very rude and has a short temper but hides that by acting friendly toward Dash.
It isn't until later we see Gilda harbors a kind, caring attitude that she hides behind a rude facade. Her nasty behavior stems from her childhood when one of the bullies made fun of her.

She travels with an entourage of servile ponies who never speak and who cater to her every whim, doing things like carrying her around and vanishing the moment she tells them to leave. She often refers to herself as "I, Photo Finish," and she is almost never seen without her sunglasses on.
