Twilight Sparkle is the central main character of the series. She is a female unicorn pony who eventually transforms into an Alicorn and becomes a princess. At the beginning of the show, she and Spike, her best friend and assistant, move from Canterlot to Golden Oak Library in Ponyville to study the magic of friendship. Twilight represents the element of magic. Before becoming a princess, she regularly sends friendship reports to Princess Celestia. Twilight has a love for books and knowledge, always turning to them when she needs answers. Twilight tries to be rational in unfamiliar situations, however, she can lose her cool under stress. Twilight has a knack for organization and is exceptionally talented at magic.

That would be nice, Spike, but what if something else came up while we were gone? What if we were delayed getting back and I wasn't able to finish everything on that list? What if we lost the list on the way to Ponyville and then couldn't remember which things we'd done and which things we hadn't done, and then spent so much time trying to figure out what we hadn't done and what we had done, and we ruined the entire Celebration by not doing the one really important thing that we were supposed to do?![Singing Winter Wrap Up]
