Hello! Welcome to the Wave 1 Casting for Dubbing is Magic! Glad to see you!
This is my first project and I'm so excited, so I hope you love My Little Pony as much as I do! This is a fan project and these characters and comics belong to Hasbro and IDW! We, as a team, plan to dub the MLP comics, dub and maybe even make memes/comic strips/art, and cover songs if enough of the cast can sing in character!
I am a beginner voice actor myself, so I am open minded when it comes to mics! Just as long as you can offer recordings with no or minimal background noise, no echoes and good sound quality! I don't mind how you get it :)
With this being a fan project, this will be unpaid, I am just making this on my own time haha. I have a small team and I am excited to have more people on board, so feel welcome to audition, even for multiple roles! We are friendly and will have a Discord server, so please have a Discord account as that will be our main form of communication.
While it's not required for you to have watched the show, much less the full thing, I would like for you to at least know the character you're playing, especially if it's one of the primary or secondary characters! I would recommend watching episodes at least revolving around your character or including them. If you need any help finding them, just ask me- I've seen the full show multiple times so I know this thing like the back of my hand hahaha
You can be cast as multiple roles if we see fit, but please be 17 or older in order to audition! When recording your audition, feel free to do the lines in either AABBCC or ABCABC order! You don't need to do a perfect impression, as long as you give off the same vibe as the character you are auditioning for! I am open to interpretations for all the characters as long as you understand and suit the character well.
The Mane 6 will be the heaviest of workloads as they're the main characters, so please make sure you can get your lines in on time if you audition for a Mane 6 role. I would hate to have to replace anyone, but if there are enough auditions for backup VAs for characters, that wouldn't be a big worry of mine. I am looking for both main VAs and backup VAs! Me and my team already have roles in mind that we plan to voice as the main VAs, just stating that now!
When auditioning, let me know your name, age, whether you can sing and your singing range if you can sing, Discord account and whether or not you like My Little Pony! Feel free to ad-lib or improv in your audition in addition to the lines provided. Also, feel free to sing in your audition if you or if you would like to.
If any characters are left uncast, I will account for them myself or someone else in the cast who's willing to can take a crack at it!
Remember, side characters, villains, etc all have comics revolving around them! If you voice a side character and know of a comic about your character, send it to me and I'll review it so we can do it!
Some comics won't have certain ponies in it, so please feel inclined to requesting comics for us to dub!
I think that I'll begin assigning roles and only have BVAs for Primary and Secondary roles if anything!
Also, I forgot to mention this but I will not work with anyone who uses generative AI in their audition or on their profile. Generative AI is not welcome on this project!
Firstly, I would like to start this with a thank you to everyone who has auditioned so far! I'm very happy listening to all of the auditions and glad to see that people are showing interest in my project!
I will give a small reminder that the description is important and I asked for details, such as your name, age, singing ability, etc. to be provided in your audition description/audio. While singing is not required for this project (but a bonus if you can) being 17 or older is a requirement.
So, as I mentioned in the description, I am looking to cast both MVAs and BVAs for Primary, Secondary, Villains and maybe Side roles if there are enough auditions. With that being said, how will you know if a character already has a MVA if the role still says open? Since they'll still be stay open to find BVAs
I'm thinking that, for a temporary solution, I will list MVAs that were cast in the description of the role above everything else for the role! This was the best solution I could come up with for the lil predicament I put myself in by not making separate roles for MVAs and BVAs hahah, but rest assured, even if you don't see your name, just know I am still pondering through the auditions!
