Introduction
"My Little Monster focuses on the relationship between Shizuku Mizutani, who has absolutely no interests except in studying and her plans for the future, and a boy named Haru Yoshida, who sits next to Shizuku in class but rarely attends school. After Shizuku is tasked with delivering class printouts to Haru's home, she meets Haru, who immediately greets her as a friend, starting their new relationship. Shizuku is renowned as a girl who is emotionless and cold. However, when she meets Haru she is touched by his innocence and his lack of knowledge concerning human relationships."

Shizuku can be very candid and apathetic at times, telling classmates that if it's their problem, they should solve it themselves. Shizuku seems to believe in the idea of growth by solving one’s own problems. She is also sometimes emotionally withdrawn and socially inept. Shizuku is also very dense when it comes to other people and what they're trying to say.

Haru appears to be a violent, intimidating person even though he means well. As the plot progresses, it is revealed that his aggressiveness is a front; he is actually quite innocent, naive and very clueless. Haru also has awkward social skills.

Before meeting her friends, Natsume was asocial because her looks and personality attracted a lot of boys (which made the girls around her jealous and avoid her). Because of this, she treats her looks like a curse. Natsume is unintelligent, has low grades, and spends a lot of her time on the Internet. She is stubborn and sensitive, but is also very innocent and cute. She thinks well of her friends and only wants the best for them.

Sasahara is a cheerful and outgoing person. He is noted to be gentle and kind to everyone and is well liked at Syoyo High. More than often Sasahara tried to encourage happiness for others rather than himself.

Although he initially uses him, Kenji is one of Haru Yoshida's friends. He is very prideful/arrogant and has a complete lack of orientation or bad sense of direction.

Chizuru is very shy, a little pessimistic and anxious. She was helped by Yoshida Haru, and after been cheered her up by Haru, she fell in love with him.

Mitsuyoshi acts as a father figure for Haru even though he's Haru's cousin. He is a very strong and determined with a great capacity for love and kindness.
