My Hero: Vigilantes Chapters 7.5-9.5 Manga Fandub
Project Overview
This project is a long-term fandub of the My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Manga, meaning we will be dubbing over the manga in its entirety! This audition is for chapter 7.5-9.5 of the manga! We will be doing the other chapters at a later point!
About My Hero Academia: Vigilantes-
Living in a superhuman society, it's hard to feel special. Even more so when the spotlight only shines on professional heroes, those legally authorized to use their special powers known as "Quirks" in public for the greater good. Kouichi Haimawari grew up aspiring to be a hero, but with a mediocre Quirk like "sliding" that ties him to the ground, he soon came to the conclusion that he could only ever admire them from below. Despite this, Kouichi finds contentment in using his Quirk to carry out day-to-day good deeds, such as returning lost items and helping the elderly cross the street. However, Kouichi's tame life takes a swing into the turbulent when he is rescued from a back alley brawl by "Vigilante," or illegal hero, Knuckleduster. Seeing hero potential in Kouichi, Knuckleduster enlists his help in tracking down the source of a dangerous drug known as "Trigger" that boosts the user's Quirk at the expense of their rationality. Set in a time before the events of the original story, Vigilante: Boku no Hero Academia Illegals follows Kouichi as he chooses to don the reputation of a villain and become a Vigilante, operating in the shadow of the law to prevent crimes from taking to the surface.
About the Director-
Hi! My name is Rae! I am 20 years old and a writer as well as an aspiring voice actor/voice director. I am a big fan of the MHA series and have been since the beginning! I really am excited to dub over this entire manga because it is by far, one of my favorites! For this project, I will be the director, casting director, script writer, and voice actor of Pop Step!. I have an editor/sound editor so I'm not cramped with things to do! I have a co-director, who you will meet if casted, and other casting directors who are helping with choosing the cast! I'm looking forward to it and good luck!
Some rules/guidelines to note before auditioning-
-Keep in mind, this is a long-term project, so audition with knowing that!
-Something to remember when audition: You will have to yell some lines... so please acknowledge that!
-Having knowledge of the manga or show is preferred, but not required.
-Lines will usually be due 1-2 weeks after the script for the chapter is posted!
-Please be 16+!
-Have a decent sounding mic, no background noise/a quiet recording space. The mic doesn't need to be professional... just one that doesn't echo/create lots of background noise.
-Please do at least 2 takes per line with different delivery styles!
-Please be easy, respectful, and professional to work with.
-Please leave your discord in the comments of your audition! Our main point of communication will be on a discord server, so it is required to have a discord account!
-Some of my crew will be auditioning, but I am someone who doesn't play favorites and I will cast fairly!

Enigma is a calm, friendly and understanding girl, being able to forgive a person who has attacked her because he mistook her for being a villain, acknowledging how she must have frightened them while using her Quirk. She even recognizes that she can be quite frightening when she uses her Quirk. She also gratefully accepts the help offered.
As this manga does not have an anime, there is no exact voice for her. She is an young adult female. If you could please give her a high-pitched voice, that would be great!

(Empty-minded) Used my gigantification quirk to take a look-see. Did that freak you out?
As Stendhal, Chizome believed that any who "wielded power without conviction" were automatically sinners deserving of death and used this belief to justify his actions as heroic instead of hypocritical. That said, he was perfectly willing to work alongside villains like Kuin Hachisuka as a means to an end, justifying that there was value in villains seeking to exterminate other villains. Even so, he also had a sense of common ground and respect for other vigilantes, such as identifying with Knuckleduster, believing that the latter and he were on the same path of fighting for justice. Despite this, however, he was willing to fight and kill them if they opposed him. Stendhal also appeared to suffer from a split-personality disorder that caused him to view his vigilante and civilian identities as two separate entities (his mental change was signified by whether or not he was wearing his mask at the time), with him considering Stendhal as something more significant than him. However, his confrontation with Knuckleduster caused him to change his beliefs and start thinking that those who are not "true heroes" are the reason for society's problems.
Yes, if you didn't know, in My Hero: Vigilantes, this guy actually becomes Stain later on in the My Hero Academia series!

(Serious) Power wielding without conviction... amounts to a crime. And when crime shapes the man underneath... that is what we call a villain.
Much of Rojiya's personality is unknown, except for being a serious and composed man. He was also known for never showing signs of drunkenness and for his peculiar habit of collecting manhole covers, which he used in combat. As an executive member of the Abegawa Tenchu Kai, Rojiya was very respected by the other members. It is said that he went through a bullet storm with nothing less than his manhole cover.
As this manga does not have an anime, there is no exact voice for him. He is an adult male. If you could please give him a low/deep-pitched voice, that would be great!
