Project Overview
INFORMATION
A Roblox YouTube Series, a detective is given a case that changes her life and everyone around her. Secrets are starting to reveal, showing everyone's true character. Who can you trust? Each episode is around 17-25 minutes. Not every character will appear in each episode. At the moment we are only looking for 1 season, but if it goes well there could be a second season. *Only audition if you have the time and commitment to your character.*

Please note:
You may audition for as many characters as you like. There will be mild cursing! Once the cast is set, we will be working on discord. I feel that actors should have the chance to play lines off other actors and practice before actually recording lines.
Do not audition if you cannot handle or take constructive criticism and direction. This series should be taken on a serious note. Preferably realistic acting, and not cartoon or overacting. There will be some sad, emotional scenes. If you are not capable, please don't audition.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

* This project should be taken on a realistic level.
* You must be willing to work with other actors on discord calls (more explained in DM's if cast)
* The series has themes of homosexuality, if you don't like it please don't audition or go near this project.

Joy is one of the best detectives in the state. She is very hard working, and sometimes over works herself. She makes herself seem confident when she has many problems in her life, including slight depression and sadness. But around others she can hide it well and look like a strong leader. (Has to be able to speak some bit of Spanish or at least have the accent for some lines)
(panicking, breathing heavily, scared, (instruction: breath heavily during the . . .) : Oh my god... what do we do?
[Giving a college lecture, explaining] : What is a crime? The books tell you it's an unlawful act punishable by a state. But what does it really mean? Laws are set in place to keep society in order, to keep people in order. Laws are broken, people do bad things. Those bad things have consequences, some more serious than others. When a law is broken it becomes a crime, and some crimes are unsolvable. My job as a detective, is to solve them, who did it? When? Where? Why?
(Note: these lines are optional, but if you do it it's very appreciated. This scene is a very sad and emotional scene *Not the finalized lines*) - [Very emotional scene after a fight, and Joy just wants to make up with Nadine] :
Ever since I lost David... I was in a dark place. It was hard to get out. I never told you because I didn't want to put you through what I went through. But If I did tell you, I know that you would've been there for me. And I have not been here for you, with Adrian coming in and me finally letting David go and trying to move on and then this case and Max and my family... Nadine I am so so sorry...
Nadine, also a detective that works with Joy. Nadine is a witty, out going person. Not afraid to get what she wants or to speak her mind. Nadine although may seem strong, can be very vulnerable when it comes to touchy topics in her life, and can be manipulated. She is working on the case as well.
(Pissed off, Annoyed, Sarcastic) : Wow, first you steal my other case and now you want to take this one too? Why don't you take my job while you're at it. If you really want to help, leave us alone. We don't need your help. . .
(Trying to make "a person" come around and see her perspective) I know that you like him, but he's not for this case. We both know it. If he was willing to steal my other case, just think what else he would do? And what's his deal anyway, trying to take everything from me?
(Giving up, fed up with, almost losing her insanity) [Spoken slowly and emotionally] : I can't anymore. . . with you, with everything. . . this has gone, no you have gone way too far. . . and the fact that you can't realize that. . . scares me to a point where I don't even know who you are anymore. . .
Max is Joy's younger brother. Max is a mess, he doesn't always know what he wants or needs and has issues with reality but also has anger problems. He does have a heart, but sometimes it's hard to see. Max is still trying to figure himself out while also trying to get his life in order.
(Sick of everyone, aggravated) [Performed with pauses (...)] : Do you care? Any of you? Of course not. Cause no one here gives a shit about anyone else but themselves. . .you all deny it, but you all know it's true. . . maybe Paige saw you all as who she thought you were, caring, loyal, friends, but she was blind.
(Apologising, emotional, feeling bad) [Performed with pauses again (...)] : Look I ah, know we haven't always gotten along. . . but I, want to try being friends. . . and I'm sorry, about everything I said and did and It was stupid and mean and basically, I'm sorry. . .
(Very Sarcastic, making fun, laughing, playful) [You just heard something that is clearly a lie] : Oh wow, really? Mhm, yeah okay, I totally believe you. Because that would so happen to you. But also did anyone ever tell you, that your such a bad liar?
Paul Harrington is a rich spoiled man. He lives in a huge manor which his rich parents owned before him. Paul is a confusing character. He is good at putting on his good side to charm people, but deep down he is messed up. He has a tendency to lash out on anyone. He is really messed up but is very good at convincing others.
(upset, explaining) : No I didn't see her at all. I was with the other guests the whole time. It is a tragedy though what happened to her.
(stressed, scared, pissed off) : Everyone calm down. Its okay can deal with this.
Camilla is the "adopted sister" to Joy and Max Sanchez. She is very mischievous and very mind manipulating. You never really know anything about her. She's a wild card, but she is very clever and can see right through people. (Has to be able to speak some bit of Spanish or at least have the accent for some lines)
(Confronting, Upset) : How could you say that? After you were the one who left. . . I tried so hard to be friends with you, but it was exhausting. . .
Looking for an older female who can play this character. Sofia is in her mid 40's, she is a loving mother and will do anything for her kids. She is a single mother. She seems nice and fine on the outside, but no one knows she is crazy and has a mental disability that she hides well and it makes her angry and crazy. Sofia stays fit and tries to live a normal life. She has a strong Spanish accent when she speaks English (Please do not go for this role if you can't speak any Spanish!)
(taking care of daughter who is sad and needs her) : It's okay. You will be fine, don't worry Mija. Everything will be okay.
(angry, defending daughter) : ¡No le hables así! You do not speak to my daughter that way!
(really annoyed, lashing out, angry) : Your all psychopaths! Why can't you all be normal, why does everything have to involve murder and getting into to trouble. i'm sick of this!

My co-worker is the most annoying guy in the world. I wish to God I wasn’t so nice to him when I first started working at my new job. I should have wondered why he was so overly nice at the start.

Justin is the sweetheart that every girl (or guy) could ever want. He is always there for his friends and family, but sometimes forgets to be there for himself. He doesn't like drama or anything of that, but he does hide secrets that no one knows and he doesn't know when or how to share them. He hates lying and isn't the best at it, Justin will be there for the people who are the worst for him because he cares a lot about the closest people to him. Justin has his bad side which does now and then come out, but there's always a valid reason behind as to why he does lash out or get angry.
[Justin is talking with Anna about Paige, He is done with Anna's shit] :
Everything you have done has always been for you! You don't care about anyone else. The shit you sad about Paige at her own funeral, how can you be so heartless?
[Apologizing to Max for something he did, Max is basically saying it's okay] :
Max I am so sorry. I didn't mean any of this to happen. Oh my god this is my fault. I'm so sorry.
Anna, the close friend to Paige, is a manipulative liar and will do anything to get her way. She will hurt the ones she loves to get what she wants or what she believes is right. She is brutally honest to everyone and doesn't care about what other people think. She does have a soft side but it's so hard to see it that it seems nonexistent. She thinks she's doing the right thing for everyone else but it's actually just for her. But she doesn't realize that.
[Mean girl vibe, confronting] : Look I have no clue what you were doing at that party, but all I know is you weren't at the house, you can lie all you want but I know you weren't.
[Anna is talking with Justin about Paige, She is very upset, emotional, angry. Please try this with serious and realistic acting, no overacting please ] :
She was not my best friend! She almost ruined my life and your life too. I saw you too arguing at the party. I have no clue what you were talking about but I know she had bad intentions. Paige is still ruining our lives even after she's dead.
Elena is a quiet shy girl, she finds it hard to open up to most people. She trusts and is open with Max though, she has struggled with trusting people as she wasn't the most popular growing up. She has her fair share of nice moments but will not hesitate to bring out her anger to defend herself or anyone she cares for.
[Innocent, feeling bad, wants to be there for this person] Hey, I know we haven't talked for a while. I just want you to know, I'm always here for you, you know that right?
[Very angry, pissed off] : You think your so smart. When you don't know anything! So get the hell out of my house!
