Murder Drones : Absolutely (PILOT)

Project Overview

Years after a rebellion lead by Copper 9's Drones goes south, a whole new generation of drones is trying to live under the stricter conditions of the colony and the world they live in. Now with the danger of rouge Murder Drones and loyal Disassembly Drones who still work for the humans of JCJenson threatening their everyday lives; the Worker Drones in the colony are restricted from leaving the bunker without exact permission from it's leader, Khan Doorman.

Of course, not everyone listens to the rules, especially rebellious drone teenagers who believe the stories about "the demons descending from the sky" are all fake. So when highschool friends Melody, Erin and Lena sneak out of the colony one night to have some harmless fun and are attacked by a group of the sky demons, they are put on high survelience and grounded.

But then, Worker Drones begin to go missing, and Khan is seen breaking his own rules through the surveillance camera's. There's something weird going on here, lies are being told, secrets are being kept and Melody is going to find the truth, no matter the cost....

This will be a 2D animated project!

This is an alternate universe to the original MD universe where the timeline splits during episode 6!

If the Pilot gets great traction, you will be paid AND more episodes will be created!

We are currently working on the PILOT ONLY ATM, but more episodes and characters are TBA as we go on, so keep an eye out if your not picked up the first time around!

  • NEW ROLES!

    Hello! I have just came to update you about our Murder Drones Absolutely project!

    We officially have begun work on our teaser trailer for the project and have been working on that for a few weeks now! Things are moving along swimmingly, but at the moment, we need more Animators, Storyboard Artists and a new VA for Serial Designation C (as our VA had to leave the project)! If you think you are a fit or know anyone who may be, refer them here or feel free to apply!

    On top of that, we have recently lost our moderators, due to drama between them that is out of my control, we are taking roles for that now as well. It sucks, but I wish them well and we are still going foreword with our project!

  • CASTING UPDATE 10-9-24

    HEY EVERYBODY~!

    JUST TO LET YOU ALL KNOW, THE PARTS FOR THAD, KHAN AND TEACHER are now CLOSED! Thankyou all for auditioning, and you should have gotten an email if you were picked!

    We still need artists/animators and video editors, so if you know of any that can help with this awesome project, send them our way! It will be awesome to have them on the team!

    If you weren't please don't be upset! You will have many opportunities to be one of the many characters in the shorts we have planned and our possible idea of a season 2 (if everything goes to plan). Until we have our public discord set up, please continue to follow this project on here for updates! You will get an update when it is live and when the teaser trailer has released on Youtube~!

Melody Doorman (Lead)

Melody Doorman is kind, naive, timid, and socially awkward, though she CAN be rebellious and obstinate when the situation calls for such attitudes. She tends to have anxiety at times and spiral into rants when having a anxiety attack. The "daughter" of Khan Doorman, she is next in line to be the leader of the Worker Drone Force, usually swallowing her repressed emotions to do what she is told and be the "perfect" child. On the surface, Melody is nonchalant with a go with the flow attitude, often being a mask for how she truly feels.


(Her voice is similar to Uzi's mixed with N, but a little younger sounding and lighter, as Melody is 15: think of Luz from The Owl House)

Melody's "cousin", Lena is a bold, sometimes cold character, and isn't afraid to pull out an aggressive hand or be mischievous. A bit of a weird troublemaker, she isn't afraid to question rules and break some of them for her own fun, not really caring at first if it could be dangerous or not. In school she is known as the drone not to mess with, but she can be slightly caring/motherly to those she is close to.


She talks in a monotone voice like Doll, but most of the time it is to cover her true feelings.


  • (When she speaks normally she should sound a little bit like Raven from Teen Titans, but when more expressive her monotone voice dials down a bit!)
  • Must be emulate a Russian accent (but you don't have to speak Russian!)

To see what the humans were like and what they did in their daily lives! I've taken so many pictures of their clothes, old traditions, and items, even kept some for myself- like OH-...!

N used to be kind, naive, timid, socially awkward, and caring Disassembly Drone, but after the war on Copper 9 ended and he lost everything he cared for; including his love Uzi, he turned into a unstable, anxious, self-critical, depressed and mentally stunted mass of repressed emotions. Now he puts up hard defensive walls, has extreme impulsive behaviors, has mood swings, and can be a bit unpredictable, as his anger tends to get a bit out of control.


Now he lives outside of the colony, alone, in an old rusted school bus, trying to keep himself alive with the little bit of oil and nanites he has left, as well as a cold personality. Anyone who gets close to him better beware, as he may not be all there when approached.


Trauma can do a lot to such a nice person, can't it?


(He suffers from Intense Emotions/Mood Swings/ and highly Impulsive behaviors, but the old N is still in there, just waiting to be coaxed out of the walls he put up for himself.) His voice will be modified to be glitched when he speaks a bit!)

The leader of the Worker Drone Defense force, Khan is a mostly pacifist, using the colony's doors and his power as a quick way to calm the masses by any means possible, even if it means through a bit of “sweet talk”.  Outwardly a calm, collected man, due to his trauma and behind closed doors, he can quickly switch from that cowardly and selfish nature when anyone he cares for is in trouble. A bit distant from Melody due to past events, he isn't the most supportive parent and ALWAYS expects her to be perfect and "not end up like Uzi", whatever that means…

A loyal friend, though shy and often nervous (some would say the more sane of the trio), Erin is often seen stuttering with her words and being wedged between Lena's troublemaker persona and Melody's naive/go with the flow nature. She shows to have alot of anxiety and is quick to reason. The most popular of the group, she tends to hang with the more popular kids, due to her brother being a popular jock as well. Though she loves her friends, she is more on the meek side.


Her voice can be high pitched and squeaky at times, and she is often stuttering, if you can do that you're fine! Her normal voice is similar to Willow from The Owl House!

He is a Worker Drone who a jock in the school in Uzi's colony, and was good friends with her and N, but after the war has decided to become Khan Doorman's apprentice as next in line to be the leader of the colony, if anything was to happen to Khan of course! A super chill and laid back guy, he isn't afraid to fight for the ones he loves and be a leader.

The leader of this squad, Serial Designation A, is an overdramatic, honey voiced Murder Drone, who cares more about her appearance than getting any real work done, as long as they are meeting MOST of their quota for the week. Bossy and not afraid to rudely insult or scold her teammates for the sake of saving her own skin from their "BOSS", underneath that cold exterior, she's just afraid of not being good enough to not be discarded, stemming from her own mansion life of being a mistreated entertainment drone.

A stealthy, introverted and taciturn Disassembly Drone, C is the second in command of this group of killers, usually being a drone of little talk and all kill. Always doing what they are told they are one of the most dangerous of their squad.

Under the surface though, while still being quiet, they are calm and supportive to their members when not being solver controlled. Like the others, they are just doing what they are told to survive.


(A voice similar to Caitlyn from Arcane but a bit more monotone!)

Unlike the vast majority of Worker Drones who are typically seen as cowards in life-or-death situations, he surprisingly is one of the few Worker Drones to manifest an apathetic mindset regardless of any circumstances. A monotone, bored teacher who has seen one too many universe altering incidents in life, he  treats his responsibility as a teacher where he often plays solitaire rather than engage with his students, cares less for anyone's well being and is always...bored.


Being Melody's homeroom teacher isn't any more interesting then grading the math test no one studied for.
