mono no aware - seeking 1 Artist & 2 VA's
Project Overview
Mono No Aware is an original adult animated series. Two aliens sit in lawn chairs in a backyard every night, pass a joint, and talk. No plot. No stakes. The whole show lives in the conversation.
Episode 1 is currently in active production with a full team already in place. A promo has already been posted across our platforms.

Artist
What You'd Be Doing
We are looking for a still artist to handle everything that is not animation.
Specifically:
Background art - the backyard setting that the show lives in. Your backgrounds will be used directly in the show alongside the character animation.
Credit art - the credits sequence uses posters on the shed wall as a framing device. Each crew member gets their own poster. You would design and illustrate these.
Promo and promotional still art - anything used to market the show outside of the animation itself. Social posts, thumbnails, standalone artwork.
Your art style does not need to match the animation exactly. We actually want it to have its own edge. The goal is two distinct styles working together. Your stills alongside the character animation, that contrast is intentional.
No animation experience required. Still work only.
Compensation
This role is unpaid (Unless the show makes any type of revenue). What you get:
Full credit on every episode your work appears in
Your art in a real show that is actively in production and already has a promo out
If you are an artist looking to get your work into a real production without having to be a full animator, this is built for you.

Send a portfolio of your still work. Backgrounds, illustration, random art, anything that gives me a sense of what you do. It does not all have to match the show's aesthetic. Just show us what you make.

Voice Actor
Your stereotypical drunk, loud, miserable neighbor. He is never shown on screen, voice only, always heard from a distance, like a side door flying open and someone storming out to yell across the yard.
He is a nuisance. He complains constantly. He absolutely sucks.
What we are looking for:
A voice that can sell drunk, agitated, middle-aged, and completely unreasonable. Think someone who has been holding it in all day and this is his moment. He should sound like a real person you would dread living next to. Gravelly, loud, fully committed.

Voice Actor
She lives on the bird house in the backyard. She has been there for a couple episodes before she decides to speak. She is sharp, irritable, and has absolutely no patience for nonsensical discussion. When something dumb enough comes out of someone's mouth, she snaps. She does not hold back.
She is not mean for no reason. She is just done. and a b**** to be honest.
What we are looking for:
A female voice with edge and personality. Quick delivery, dry, a little biting. She should sound like someone who has been listening to this for too long and finally said something. Character voices welcome but it should still feel grounded, not cartoony.
