I'm a big fan of 80's media, so I made a 80s gun sound replacement mod for one of my favorite games, Garry's Mod (short Gmod).
This obviously needs a trailer. I could've just went to a shooting range level and recorded me using the guns one by one, however I want to do something special.
Essentially, I recorded a short scripted video of a Miami-Vice 80s-style police warehouse shootout. Since it is a shootout, the user will get to listen to (most) sound replacements in a fitting context. And it won't be boring either, but fit the media it's based on. I think it's perfect!
To make it truly perfect however, I of course need some talking. That's why I need you! Below are the roles of the different characters and pretty much their entire short script.
Regarding crediting: I can put as much into the video description as you need! I will also display your name at the end of the credits part of the video. You can write into you audition if you want it to be your username or a different name.
As proof that I can actually edit videos, here's one where I was reacting to a text with my friend (link)
I'm looking forward to your auditions! This is just a short showcase, but I'm sure it's a nice and easy break from large projects!
The project is done! My sincere thank you you to everyone who auditioned.
Manly criminal who sells weapons, like a more sane Trevor from GTA V. The audition lines are the entire script.
(In a warehouse, making a deal:) (Relaxed) I’m always interested in exporting the second amendment to the third world. (Serious) As long as they can pay.
(Police opens warehouse gate, tells everyone to freeze. Dealer runs to grab one of the RPGs he wanted to sell:) Get ready, I’ll show you a sample!
(Aiming RPG at police car blockade, which after shooting he will drive through with his car): This is made in America!
Loosely based on Crockett from Miami Vice. Due to the shorth length of the video, he's only your average undercover detective.
There's only one more l line in the script which I couldn't fit into the audition lines. It's a "RUN!" yell when he realizes they'll shoot an RPG at him. You can include it into your audition, however this line is so unimportant that I can accept your audition without it in case you cannot yell.
(Warehouse door opens) Freeze!
(Criminals start shooting at the police even though they're cornered.) They’re crazy! They must have an ace!
(Gets ready for shooting the fleeing car with a machine gun. You can either yell this or talk this, as in a talking into walkie talkie or yelling across the block. Either way you say it, make it rushed.) Abandon roadblocks, we need gun nests! (After that the car drives by and he starts shooting it, destryoing it)
Loosely based on Rico from Miami Vice. Due to the shorth length of the video, he's only your average undercover detective, preferably with a deep voice.
The audition lines are the entire script.
(Warehouse door opens) Everybody stop!
(Wants to get closer to the enemy by flanking through containers, yells at his Detective buddy) Cover me!
(Sees the Dealer is prepaing a RPG to fire at the police blockade. Screams across the entire warehouse:) RUN!
A cop using a police car's megaphone speaker. Shortly at the beginning of the video. I will edit in the megaphone speaker effect, but if you want you can add it yourself.
The audition lines are the entire script.
(Warehouse door opens) Police! On the ground now!
(Criminals start shooting at the police) You’re cornered! Give up, now!
Around the beginning of the video, you will see the Criminals from far away through the lense of watcher with binoculars. He gives the signal to his police buddies to go in.
The audition lines are the entire script.
(Talking into a walkie talkie) He’s got the guns. Move!
