Project Overview

Hey all, it’s moi. MysteriousBeing, or MysteriousOne3 on Newgrounds. Anyway, just doing this to get people’s voices for a project going into a collab. Don’t worry, you’ll get credit of course and this may be a big opportunity for you guys to be recognized for the voice acting gods you are.

However, rules to know:

  1. When applying, do the following:

    1. Introduce yourself, age, and discord username, in the AUDITION INFO SECTION - NOT THE ACTUAL AUD - You do not need to slate your auditions. Just put your info (Discord/socials) in the Info section once you upload to the Casting Call page; so I can add you to the server.

    2. Give ABCABC format for three to four takes. Industry due standard. Also, please read the lines and don’t like put demo reels - UNLESS IT’S IN THE DEMO REELS SECTION BAR… provided AFTER you UPLOAD A PROJECT; AND, don’t just forget the lines and do whatever. You can, however, improvise if clearly stated in the role info boxes. But, other than that, Just give it your all, follow instructions and: Have fun…

      1. Also, if you are going to improvise, make sure it’s appropriate for everyone, SO:

        1. No Cussing

        2. No NSFW

        3. No Inappropriate Jokes (whether there funny or not)

        4. And NO: Harmful Language against any groups of Race, Religion, and Sex or any of that malarky - things like this won’t be tolerated and immediately dismissed. SO, AGAIN: Keep that in mind too…

    3. RULE NUMBER THREE! No ai, in this project, I understand some of you may appreciate ai, I just don’t want it to be in this project or others. As the organizer may not like that either.

    4. ALL IS welcome to participate, I just need SOMEONE - ANYONE - to voice these characters. I’d greatly appreciate it. Also, accents or character impressions are preferred as well as your own impressions/interpretations, if they fit with the story and if you put the best of you into the character(s) as best as you can.

    5. In case, everyone is confused - if something says “3-4 quotes from” whatever, don’t read the ACTUAL LINE, just pick some from the actual wiki/video provided. TRUST ME, you have NO IDEA - ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA - how many people just read that line… and all be it, they were well done and flipping HILLARIOUS…! But, still, I’d greatly appreciate if ya didn’t read the line and just choose them quotes. Anywho: Onto the next rule...

  2. Don’t resubmit this time for this project, ‘cause it would mess things up a little. Also, don’t submit auditions for the Casting Call Page - IF YOU ARE DOING IT AS A JOKE OR ANYTHING OTHER THAN VOICING THE CHARACTER. I need them people who can stick their guns and do the work. SO, just keep it in mind. ;-}

  3. I encourage you to leap for the fun of it and get to be able to show your stuff, and if you are not selected, that has nothing to do with your quality, character, and special gift that is you AND your voice, and who knows: more projects could happen but don’t count on it.

  4. Any questions, you have you can type in the project comments section - if you can’t send me messages, but if you can, please do so through here. 

  5. Also, I’m trying to build a community with my Discord server, so if you are interested, it’ll be in the description soon. We do paid commissions, livestreams, and starting out to help you make the most of your art. If you know anyone who may be interested or you yourself are: Here ya go.

  6. Despite the server, being available, feel free to include your discord name a couple of your socials (one preferably youtube) in your submission.

  7. Also, you don’t need to slate, if you want to connect than the server’s right there or you can text me via messages ccc preferably.

Okay, everyone here should know those Rainbow-colored rag tag team of do gooders, THEM YOSHIS, those Dino buddies that help Mario time and time again in situations he needs them the most. In this case, we need VAs who can impersonate Kazumi Totaka’s take on the character. Can’t believe he has been doing it for years, much like Charles Martinet . Huh, go figure. 


Anyway, gives us all you got, and if you have your own interpretation for the character(s), go for it, as long as it’s appropriate for all audiences, and also: We’re looking for two distinct Yoshis, so if you can, do your best to make them distinct from each other.

Yeah, I know whatcha thinkin’: The Desert Wind? The flippin’ WIND?!!?!? Why not use a sound effect or some junk. Well, dear lightworker, it’s because the animation of said wind is a long piece that goes on for a good bit. You’d have to see the animation yourself to find out.


Anyway, the sfx for it may be two short or just break the flow of what I’m looking for. Plus, it would be awesome to try your hand at this stuff, REGARDLESS. A good street credit if ya know what I mean.


Anyhoo, a-to, just have fun with this one, give your own interpretation, RAP, I highly encourage you to rap for the sake of it being AWESOME and probably make the thing better. And, yeah, that’s pretty much it.
