Miraculous Bonds: A Miraculous Ladybug Fanmade Visual Novel
Miraculous Bonds is a fan community project working together to create a Miraculous Ladybug themed visual novel. It will be entirely volunteer led, with all kinds of skills being necessary.
The idea is to start with a unique storyline, focusing on one week, leading up to the birthday of Emilie Agreste after her disappearance which leads to Hawkmoth/Papillon becoming especially desperate. The player chooses to play as Marinette or Adrien, and the specifics of the events that occur will be determined by their choices.
The focus of this initial storyline will be friendship and some adventure, rather than romance (aside from canon-typical stuff, but nothing serious). Depending on the player’s choices there will be a good, neutral, or bad ending. The visual novel will contain some amount of animation during the cut-scenes in addition to the typical series of images.
Once we finish and release the base project we have ideas to implement DLCs featuring dating options and possibly playing from the POV of an OC Student. (This will be much later in the future)
We will allow players to choose whether or not they want to play with voice acted scenes, so we need YOU to audition for one or more of the following characters below! If chosen, you will be added to our Discord where you can help contribute to the Visual Novel with your voice and any ideas you may have.
Rules for Auditioning:1) Please have a decent microphone and sound quality. Be mindful of background noise when recording as well.
2) While we are looking for people who can sound similar to the original sources, you do NOT have to sound exactly the same. So do your best and if we like your rendition we’ll choose you!
3) Please include in one of your submissions your pronunciations of the following words: Chat Noir, Papillon, Monsieur, and Mademoiselle. (Since the story is set in France some French words may need to be spoken)
4) If you decide to audition for one of the Main Characters (MC), we expect you to be relatively active for this project and be accessible on Discord.
5) Characters with an asterisk (*) symbol by their name are not guaranteed lines yet. Please feel free to audition so we can reach out if we do end up giving them lines in the future.
