Minecraft Roleplay: The Tales of Ascua
Project Overview
The Tales of Ascua is a Minecraft Roleplay-style series of videos following the adventures of a young mercenary named Saru, finding his way in the world, struggling to control powers he never knew he had, and eventually fighting the biggest threat Ascua has ever known.
Here, you may audition for a voice acting role in the series.
Characters that will be important to the story, showing up multiple times, such as Saru, a main character, will be marked as such. If you are auditioning for a main role, please be available to record lines regularly, not just one time.
There will also be "medium" roles - characters that will likely appear multiple times throughout the series, but not every episode. Please be prepared for some form of commitment if auditioning for one of these roles as well.
On the contrary to this, there will also be many smaller characters, likely appearing once or twice, to make the world of Ascua seem more realistic.
If you are auditioning, please have a clear mic, preferably without background noise, and be over 13 years old. Thanks!

Jun is a mysterious young man blessed with incredible psychic powers. He meets Saru, and becomes an ally to him, sensing similar strength within Saru.
He should sound very smug, as he's never met anybody with abilities that surpass his, however he's not arrogant - he should also sound like a nice person.
"Hey there."
"I'm shocked.. I've never had to use this much of my power against someone else before-"
"Time to finish things.. Telekinetic Reaver!" (the name of his special ability)
Hairo is a mysterious man who outfits himself as a jester. Alongside his similarly outfitted friends, Jairo and Sairo, they represent a mysterious group they call the Harlequins of Shadow. Hairo is the 'ringleader'.
He should sound quite unhinged, and maniacal, to fit his 'persona' of a jester. His voice should also have sinister overtones.
"Greetings, my liege.. what have you summoned us for today?"
"Hahahaha!" (maniacal sounding laugh)
"Together.. We are the Harlequins of Shadow!"
Sairo is a mysterious man who outfits himself as a jester. Alongside his similarly outfitted friends, Jairo and Hairo, they represent a mysterious group they call the Harlequins of Shadow.
He should sound quite unhinged, and maniacal, to fit his 'persona' of a jester. His voice should also have sinister overtones, but in Sairo's case, he should sound somewhat melodramatic, but sarcastic as well. He very much toys with his 'prey'.
"Ah.. what a beautiful melody!"
(maniacal laugh)
"Oh, what a crying shame..!"
Jairo is a mysterious man who outfits himself as a jester. Alongside his similarly outfitted friends, Hairo and Sairo, they represent a mysterious group they call the Harlequins of Shadow.
He should sound quite unhinged, and maniacal, to fit his 'persona' of a jester. His voice should also have sinister overtones. In Jairo's case, he should sound pretty sadistic and cruel, as out of the trio, he's the most ruthless of them.
"Hey there, little guy!"
(maniacal laugh)
"Don't be afraid!"
Valorie is the head of the Infinite Five; a new group of vigilantes that have emerged, that wish to protect Ascua.
She should sound very determined, responsible, and brave - basically, just very noble.
However, you should also be able to sound quite flustered and foolish, as Valorie is human too, and can't maintain her 'tough' exterior at all times.
"I am Valorie, of the Infinite Five!"
"W-WHAT?! WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?!"
"We've detected an incredible surge of energy from the Evergrande Tundra.."
Ander is a member of the Infinite Five, and is the head scientist and developer of their weaponry and armour. He's very talented at what he does, and thanks to that, the Infinite Five have incredibly powerful equipment.
He should just sound like a normal man, although quite sarcastic and narcissistic, but should definitely be able to sound quite excited, and also somewhat sinister.
"What a curious phenomenon.."
"Once I heard such a person existed, I just had to see for myself."
"Hahaha.. Well, you should never judge a book by it's cover.."
Tycer is regarded as the "berserker" of the Infinite Five. He's a very seasoned fighter, with years of experience, and as a result, lacks motivation due to how easy most battles are.
He should sound quite gruff and stern, but also can become very enthusiastic and excited, when presented with a challenge.
"Look, kid.. It's nothing personal."
"Yes.. this is perfect.. I can feel my blood boiling.. How exciting!"
"Finally.. an actual challenge!"
Literally a character who only exists to let Saru use a boat.
Any voice is fine, really.
"Sorry buddy.. No can do."
"Hey!"
"I'm the boat guy."
Eyze is a member of the race of beings known as Glacians.
He should sound quite playful and silly, as he's quite forgetful and klutzy.
"Oh, hey there! Did I.. miss something?"
"The name's Eyze. I'm a pretty.. cool guy."
"Oh, yeah! I forgot to tell you about that thing.. My bad!"
Gracie is another member of the Infinite Five, known as the "wildcard" of the team. She's typically a polite, well mannered young lady, but can be quite flippant and absent-minded. However, she's capable of switching completely, and becoming sadistic and calculated, making her a feared member of the Infinite Five's roster, mostly due to her unpredictability.
She should have a normal female voice, but you should be able to shift to a different pitch drastically, as Gracie is known to be temperamental and flip out completely incredibly easily, hence her title of the 'wildcard'.
(If I had to compare her personality to that of any existing characters, I'd say Spinel mixed with Nui Harime)
"Oh, so you're the guy who's been causing Valorie so much trouble, huh?"
"I guess I'll just have to.. What was it again?"
"Oh, that's right.. I'll just tear you apart, limb from limb, so I KNOW you can't escape."
Aslei Templus is the founder of the Infinite Five, and manages their activities from the shadows. He is also the chancellor of Athinnilea, having a high status due to these two factors.
He should come across as very condescending, and passive-aggressive, but also should retain a form of nobility and pride within his voice. He should also be able to sound downright malicious.
"What business do you three have here, in my city?"
"Why.. I ought to make an example of you and strike you down right now."
"But alas, Lady Melette forbids it."
Kori is a young man who lives in the supposedly uninhabited Evergrande Tundra. He's pretty much the opposite to Saru, and due to this, finds him annoying, becoming somewhat of a rival to him.
He should sound quite solitary and snappy, and also standoffish.
"You shouldn't stick your nose where it doesn't belong."
"I.. I refuse.. to lose to the likes of you!"
"This is my special technique.. Evergrande Tempest!"
The self-appointed king of the "Bandit Kingdom".
Should sound quite comical, but not goofy - he should sound like a normal person who is just very full of themselves.
"Hahaha.. You've messed with the wrong person!"
"I am the King of all bandits.."
"What's wrong? Scared?"
A bandit from the Bandit Kingdom.
No real voice in mind. Just a normal person.
(Multiple people can have this role, as there are a lot of bandits. I just don't want to make specific roles for each bandit)
"Hey! You there!"
"Hahaha.. How's that?!"
"J-Jeez.. You're.. actually pretty strong.."
The head of a pack of shapeshifters Saru and co encounter within the Majkaen Greenwood. Only 5-6 ish lines.
Normal-sounding voice ideally, maybe slightly raspy and monster-like but you shouldn't go overboard. (The shapeshifters are pretending to be human, after all)
"We took him back to our cave.."
"Next time, you won't be so lucky."
"Hahahaha.."
