Metztli - Animated Short
Project Overview
Metztli is a student animated short. Will be animated by me. Maximum 2 minutes long.
Summary:
A boy and his friend, a humanoid looking rabbit, sleep soundly in his house. Then all of a sudden, the rabbit begins to levitate towards the moon, still sleeping. The boy tries to stop her from flying away, but they both end up being dragged off to the moon. They wake up, surrounded by bunny creatures on the moon. Then suddenly the moon goddess appears; mad at the bunny girl. The bunny girl faces the moon goddess, and the boy and her successfully return to Earth.
Music is very important, especially in animation, so I am looking for someone to compose music for the short. This is a school project, so I am working on a tight deadline, please only apply if you can work on a short time frame. The short is due April 19, but I need to turn in what I am thinking of using for the music by January 31st. My storyboards will be ready by January 25th, so you will have an idea for what to make. You will have around a week to compose something.
If that is not enough time, I am thinking that you could compose something simple by January 31st and have the final composition by February 7th (two weeks time). You will be added to the credits and the short will be uploaded to YouTube. I am a cheap college student, so bear with me on prices, but you will be paid for your work!

Paid: Flat Rate 20 USD
I am willing to pay $20 for some original music for the short. We could negotiate if you would like because I have no idea how much composers are paid. Also, please state how long it takes you to compose.
I am not sure what I want the music to sound like, so I am open to suggestions or whatever you would think would fit. The short is set on the moon. Very gloomy, depressing, but very beautiful. A little bit of terror and emotional. You might not need to make music for the whole thing unless you are up to it, but I do want some original music in the short.
