Metal Brigade | A lego animated series with mechs
Project Overview
Metal Brigade is a lego stop motion animated series, mildly inspired by different anime. (like evangelion, Attack on Titan etc.)
The basic plot is this: strange creatures that go by the name of 'Jinen' (pronounced 'gee-nin') have invaded the planet of clouds known as Tori, and the inhabitants of the planet create giant robot mechs to combat the creatures and prevent them from overtaking their home planet.
It may sound very simplistic, and you may assume off the bat that the characters will be phoned in and cheesy but I can assure you the story and the characters shall get more complex as the series progresses.
I plan to explore major conspiracies, the different back stories of the four main characters and various different psychological theories.It may sound a bit ambitious, but, we'll see how it turns out.

A young boy who needs money to pay for his father's medicine

For his voice, give one of a young boy who's possibly 13 or 14 years old. It doesn't matter what kind of accent you give him, as long i get the impression that he is of that age.

*MINOR CHARACTER*

*MAJOR CHARACTER*
Commander Kai Pliskin is in charge of the Xenotitan operation on the planet Tori. His job stretches from planning attacks, to overseeing the battles that the pilots will come across. His role may be considered similar to that of Gendo Ikari from NeonGenesis Evangelion.
However, unlike Gendo, in terms of personality, Kai is often incompetent and an excessive risk taker. Nearly every night after work, he'll spend a great deal of his time at a casino gambling, and often losing, though he keeps returning, claiming that this time he'll 'get it in the bag'. He doesn't. He never does. He lives in a terrible apartment because of his addiction. He's an idiot.
However, when the stakes are raised, and when the fate of the planet lies in the balance, Kai will break out of his incompetent shell to get his pilots out of some of the toughest situations
In terms of his voice, when he is conversing casually with his comrades, Kai often sounds very confident, very charismatic. His voice sounds as smooth as butter and rather charming. (Although all that doesn't match his personality) Also, for his voice I would like you to convey a sort of youthfulness to it. As although he's nearing his 60s, he's still got a lot of energy. He's curious and has a lot of excitement. If someone can nail that into his character, you'd be guaranteed a spot as his voice.Although when things begin to get hairy, and the battles commence, his voice does a 180. It sounds incredibly rough and dominant. It's as if it has it's own aura that fills the entire room. His voice still maintains it's charm, but loses it's youthfulness. Youth doesn't belong in a battle.
Ah, no. Settle down, shut your faces, quit whining and start... Doing whatever you were doing. Training?
If I had a dollar for every time I was called insane... I'd probably bet it on some blackjack.
Maintenance team, remove the stability clamps from the Xenotitan. As soon as the process is complete, evacuate the vicinity immediately. Safety is a high priority. I'm just saying, in case you don't want to die!
