Project Overview

What is this casting call for?

This Casting Call is for a series of fan audio dramas taken from the Gallery cards, Character Bios, and Character stories within Marvel Rivals. As not a lot of players know the story behind the game, this series is to provide a fun and entertaining way to experience the story behind this year's hottest Hero shooter!

Stories will be split between regular Narration, Audio logs, and full on enactments of the stories behind the gorgeous artwork found in the game. Videos will be posted typically every other week to keep up with each upcoming season's events and individual serials; this is so in case a new season released players can read the story first as to not be spoiled.

What do I need to audition?

  • A good microphone, XLR Microphones preferred

  • An ability to provide clean recordings without peaking and background noise

  • A Discord account/Email to transfer the voice files and to discuss the project/future projects.

  • Lines must be delivered in the .wav format.

  • Do NOT Slate your auditions.

  • Auditions must be recorded in AABBCC format providing at least 2-3 takes per line as written. (Adlibbing at least 1 take is fine, however please do not go too far off script.)

    Hey there heroes! I just want to take a moment to thank you all for auditioning with me over these past few weeks. As you have probably seen, I have begun casting and shortlisting you all, and I have to say I am extremely impressed with the talent you all have brought to the table.

    I am pairing up with my assistants to view everyone's auditions and casting those as I go. Do not fret if you don't get cast for a role you auditioned for, as I am creating a list of VAs who've auditioned exceptionally well that I feel would do great in other roles I might be looking for. With that being said if anyone has a question about the production or any potential roles that may come up, do not hesitate to shoot a DM my way and ask!

T'Challa (also known as the Black Panther) He is the king and protector of the fictional African nation of Wakanda, a technologically advanced society drawing from a supply of Vibranium, a fictional metal of extraordinary properties. In marvel rivals, the T'Challa we follow comes from a universe where Wakanda has taken to the stars as a Space Fairing Colony, with a sinister secret behind the gods they worship...

For this project I am looking for a voice similar to James Mathis III's portrayal within Marvel Rivals to help with line delivery and his tone of voice. It does not have to be an exact voice match as I want as much creative freedom for the va as possible.

Daughter of Galactus the devourer, Galacta serves as Marvel Rivals' Announcer but also storyteller in many trailers and stories in the game itself. This role will mainly serve as both her own character and Narrator for some of the more story driven serials within the series.

For this role I am looking for a voice similar to Cassandra Morris' portrayal to Galacta within Marvel Rivals, however this does not have to be an exact impression as I'd like to give as much creative freedom for the VA.

Victor Von doom is the main Antagonist of the Fantastic Four as well as Marvel Rivals, alongside his futuristic counterpart Doom 2099, causing the events of the game to take place. Locked in a rivalry against one another both dooms seek to conquer all the timelines of the Chronoverse while destroying their counterpart as the superior Doom.

This role, unlike others in this casting call, are open for interpretation as we haven't heard either doom's voice within Marvel rivals. Feel free to make your voices for each doom distinct, some examples of Doom's voice to use for inspiration include some of the following;

  • Dr.Doom: What you hold in your hand is called Chronovium. it was born from an experiment of mine that caused the very fabric of time and space to unravel and reweave itself in unexpected ways. as the chronal energy released in the process stabilized once again, it took this crystalline form.

  • Doom 2099: Victor von Doom is a fool. No I do not speak of myself. This Doom remains a genius, as he has ever been. For how else could he have lived to see - And to conquer - this future world?

J. Jonah Jameson is a reoccurring character within the Spiderman comics, owner and head editor of the Daily Bugle. In this series during the Season "Eternal Night Falls" several Daily Bugle newspaper segments can be found, these will be used to introduce each video before going into the main story.

For this voice, as to be expected, a voice similar to J.K. Simmons portrayal of the character. Does not have to be an exact impression of the voice as I would like to give the VA as much creative freedom as possible.

  • The Doctor's Out.... OF HIS MIND! Renowned surgeon and rumored sorcerer Stephen Strange mysteriously disappeared just before the city was plunged into darkness.

  • Bad Moon Knight Rising! When danger stalks the night, we have to take heroes where we can find them. Located in a back alley in Greenwich Village, the midnight Mission has long been rumored to be the base of operations for the "so called" vigilante known as Moon Knight. Are the colorful lights emanating from within part of some ancient ritual? The Daily Bugle investigated.

  • Spider-Man: Villain or Vampire? Midtown's been massacred by monsters! So where is this so-called "spectacular Spider-Man"?! This Publisher has his suspicions! Unless New York's Most dangerous vigilante is off cowering in a corner somewhere, it's more than likely he's joined forces with the creatures of the night! Can you imagine, a Sinister Spider-Vamp, loyal reader?! As if that web-slinging wacko wasn't already bad enough!

Everyone knows Peter Parker, the one and only Spectacular Spider-man! Unlike your typical Spidey, he's been across space and time trying to save New York as well as the other timelines from Dracula's vampires and the meddling's of both Dooms to try and put everything back into place!

For this role, I would like a voice similar to Yuri Lowenthal's performance as Spiderman within Marvel rivals, however it does not have to be an exact voice match as I want as much creative freedom for the va as possible.

Iconic Vampire Hunter, Blade is known for unrelenting assault against the armies of the night while touting a full arsenal at his disposal to take out those bloodsucking hellspawn wherever it brings him .

This role is up for interpretation, as we haven't heard blade speak within Marvel Rivals as of yet, however I would like for those auditioning for him to take inspiration from Wesley Snipes' portrayal of Blade' 1998 film (or Deadpool and Wolverine if you want something more recent!)

Younger sister of T'Challa, and Princess of the kingdom of Wakanda, Shuri is a masterfully fantastic scientist, engineer, and inventor with a genius level of intellect on par with the likes of her brother T'Challa and Tony Stark.

This role is mostly up for interpretation, however Shuri is voiced within Marvel Rivals, but without a proper voice reference to share, next best references would be Shuri's appearances within the Marvel Cinematic universe (Played by Letitia Wright) and Marvel Rising.
