Male-Sounding VA Needed for Comic Dubs! (Nati Bee Studios)
Project Overview
Hi there! My name is Dom and I'm a co-director, editor and voice actor for the YouTube channel: Nati Bee Studios! We dub over such content as fandom work and original comics like Ava’s Demon and Angel (with artist permission), and we're currently standing strong at over 35,000 subscribers on YouTube.
We are currently searching for a new mid-to-low ranged male sounding voice actor for our cast to offer their services. This will be an unpaid position.
The goal of the audition isn’t to perfectly mimic the character or any of our existing voice actors, but instead make your own version while still conveying the personality of the character. They should be recognisable, after all!
The characters listed are from the shows Yuri!!! On Ice and My Hero Academia, but we do record other fandoms and original comics.
We have a few audition specifications that you should follow for us to consider your audition!
-Although both character slots are separate, it is highly recommended to record for both characters listed. This will give us a better indication of your voice.
-Please introduce (slate) only your name / alias at the start of the file.
-Do not add any processing such as compression to your auditions beyond basic editing; noise removal is acceptable. Phone, laptop and headset microphones are not encouraged. Please record in an area free from as much background noise and reverb.
-You will be required to have a Discord account as we have a server containing all important information and updates, as well as this being the place for us to live direct you.
-Please include your time zone in your additional audition notes.
OPTIONAL: You may choose to submit a demo reel alongside your audition. This demo reel may either be attached in MP3 format or linked to (i.e. Soundcloud).

Victor is the heart of Yuri!!! On Ice; despite being a world-renowned champion of figure skating, he is the one to take a young skater under his wing and coach him on his way to victory, ultimately leading to getting engaged with him.
Voice Type: low-to-mid range that gets higher when he gets excited; a playful tone that has the potential to buckle down and be serious when need be.
For sake of consistency, a Russian accent is required for this role.
Like it or not, we’re very similar. We both want to do our best and keep getting better at what we do; but with that, we’re liable to forget to live. You get caught up in advancing and practicing and winning… You get stuck. (Meant to be instructional and heartfelt; as a piece of advice)
He said he’d love to have dinner with me again… he even smiled! Goddamn, what a literal angel! (Giddy and excitable tone; talking to himself as if daydreaming)
… Well, enough of my personal life. JJ is really becoming a thorn in my side. This week alone, six of our men are dead. JJ has a wider influence and the sum he’s offering on my head is high; we all need to start moving cautiously. ([MAFIA!AU] In this alternate universe, Victor is a mafia boss. Coming off of the backend of a confrontational talk; turns serious.)
Shota Aizawa is the stern and mostly reserved teacher of U.A. High in My Hero Academia that has lofty expectations of his students. Aizawa has been known to expel students who he feels are not suited for the school, but genuinely cares about his students despite his apathetic traits.
Voice Type: low-mid range with rasp; tends to be somewhat monotone, but not completely emotionless.
I'm sorry to tell you... that for the next three years... U.A. will run you through the wringer. That's "Plus Ultra". Use your strength to overcome it all; bring it. (Directed to Class 1-A on their first day. Essentially the killjoy to their fun at the academy)
He doesn't... have no chance. That's all I can say. Because if he had no prospects, I would cut him loose. There's nothing crueler than letting someone chase their half-baked dreams. (Talking to All Might about a student; Izuku Midoriya. The boy is frail but is determined)
Are you saying that he’s toying with her? If that's what you're taking from this, then you can leave. No point in watching. She's come this far, and he knows her strength. His caution shows that he recognizes her as a worthy opponent. He wants to win so badly that there's no room for carelessness or holding back. (Scolding a Pro Hero in the audience for their incompetence of reading the situation of a battle; battle between students Uraraka and Bakugou)
