Hello! I'm Azure, and I'm hoping to put together a male Love Live chorus based on μ's. We will be singing covers of the various songs from the series, but we also may do dubs of some scenes from the anime, male-ified(?)!
I will be forming a Skype group for the members to talk and get to know each other, and also for major decisions such as the group name, song choice, etc. I will be our group's Maki, but please, feel free to audition for the other members!
I will also serve as a vocal coach, but since I myself don't speak Japanese (and the fact that I'm still new to singing it in general) if you are fluent in Japanese pronunciation, if you would like to help the others in the group with it, that would be awesome! We also need an artist for our videos.
If you'd like to be a vocal coach as well, or if you have knowledge in video animation or audio mixing, please inform me at [redacted] or leave a comment about it. That will also be my primary email for anyone who wants to contact me with any concerns or questions.
So now that all that's out of the way, some rules.
1. Good mic quality is key for a project like this. You can be an amazing singer/voice actor, but if your mic is bad, it won't work. Minimal background/noise and static, please. I don't expect expensive and fancy microphones, hell I myself use my phone mic. But just make sure the quality is good.
2. When singing and speaking your lines, say them clearly. I can't cast you if I can't understand what you're saying.
3. When singing your song, please sing it in Japanese and without any background music so I can hear your vocals. This is so I can judge your voice to the best of my ability.
4. While singers of any gender can audition, remember this is a MALE cover group. So if you're a female and you wanna audition, try to sound as "masculine" as possible. You know. Just sound like a guy.

As the deadline draws near, I would like to remind everyone that we are in need of an animator, mixer, and an artist! I'd also like to say that if you are not happy with your initial audition, you can reupload another one that you are more confident in. Good luck to all that auditioned!
I've extended the deadline to July 20th in hopes of giving time so that more people can audition. I've also been busy with other projects lately, so the deadline is best to everyone. I still look forward to the formation of our group!

Eli's voice is distinct and sharp. It also calm and steady. While she seems cold to everyone at the beginning, she warms up to them and becomes one of them, a huge nerd.

Rin has a very smooth and silky singing voice. She is a great ball of energy, and you can feel her happiness seep off onto you when you hear her sing. Try to stay happy and upbeat when singing.

Here we have Hanayo, the rice child. She has two voices when singing; she has the voice before the anime, luscious and strong, and she has the voice after the anime, cute and more shy. But just because she's soft spoken doesn't mean she doesn't project. Try your best at trying either one of these voices.
When speaking lines, she's usually shy and quiet, unless she's screaming about idols. Or rice. She gets really loud and energetic about those, so convey that. Your voice doesn't need to be necessarily high like hers. Just have it be able to fit the original.
"I-Is this... Is this the "Legendary Idol Legend" complete DVD box set? I've never met anyone who owned this before!"

Honoka is a very upbeat and motivated character. She hardly ever has her spirits down, but when it happens, it hits her hard. Her singing voice is very strong and inspirational. Let your emotions really come out with Honkers.
"Of course! There's no way they'd suddenly decide to shut down the school!" *shocked screaming*
"If you get nervous, just imagine everyone as vegetables!"
"What good will performing do? The school isn't going to be closed. There's no point to performing. Besides, it's impossible. No matter how hard we practice, we'll never be like A-Rise."

Oh boy, the birb. Let me get this out of the way. I in no way expect you to have an extremely high voice, especially for a male group. But do be a bit confident in your higher range. But don't strain yourself. If you can't do it, that's fine.
Kotori's voice is squeaky, but strong. Don't hold back from power. Show all that you've got!
"Excuse me! I heard you have a picture... I heard you had a picture of me! You can't sell that. Please get rid of it immediately! Kotori? What? Who is that? No! Farewell now. Take care of yourselves... goodbye!"

Nico is the resident trash lord. Her two personalities really need to come through. When being her idol persona, her voice needs to be a bit higher pitched, almost to the point that she's straining herself. But when her real personality comes out, her true colors shine through. Feel free to really exaggerate her split personalities.
Listen, for example... Nico-Nico-Ni! I'll Nico-Nico-Ni your heart! I'm Yazawa Nico-Nico, and I'll put a smile in your heart! Remember, I'm Nico-Ni and I love-Nico you!"

Umi is the straight edge in the group, stern and serious.
She has a clear and strong voice that breaks through in a lot of songs! When singing, your voice needs to be strong and steady. Her speaking voice has a wide range of emotions.

Nozomi's voice is warm and soothing. I'd compare it to a mother's warmth over her child. She is the perfect balance in the group. Not too high, not too low.
