M/F Voice Actors Needed for Science Fiction Podcast
Project Overview
Casting for a 6 episode fiction podcast. The story will revolve around a fledgling colony on another world, and play out over a serious of messages from a multitude of different characters.
NOTE: Each part will be composed of monologues that will vary in length depending on the character. Not looking for Shakespeare here, but it will be critical that these sound like more than someone reading a book. A full script will be provided, but I'm also looking to collaborate with my voice actors to ensure the character voice and tone feels natural.
I intend to record and edit in March/April and have the project completed by May. This is my first project and unable to pay, but I will provide credit
Recording & Sending Instructions:
-Files can be in wav or mp3 format
-Record all of a character's audition lines in one file. If auditioning for multiple characters, then please submit multiple files
-Label as Yourname_Character.mp3
-Put "TFSBW Audition" in the subject line of the e-mail

40-55 years old, Male, speaks eloquently but his voice has a sinister edge
"My dear Mr. Park – Apologies for not messaging you sooner, but I have been ill. While I may have great aptitude for matters of business, my body is not well suited for space travel."
"Does Moreau want to expand his church? Of course he does! Just as I want to be a king in our new world. It doesn’t matter to me what the religion of the land happens to be, as long as I can profit."
"He’s one of those insufferable idiots that believes in codes, ideals, commands, oaths, and morals; he blindly follows these no matter the cost. I’ve tried to subtly reason with the man, to ingratiate myself and to offer my counsel, but he’s nothing but stoic and cold. A bribe is out of the question."
A no-nonsense scientist, tasked with both understanding a new alien environment as well as ensuring the survival of fellow colonists
24-40 years old, Female, speaks precisely (prefer English accent or other European accent but not required)
"I could see from the looks on their faces when they stepped forward. Every one of them looked pale and stunned. We all had been infected. We were running out of time."

"While I have found that the soil contains all of 17 essential elements, there are some imbalances in the secondary macro-nutrients. Magnesium and Calcium are low, but I believe this can be corrected with proper amendments, proving the soil more than suitable for growing earth plants like corn, potatoes, carrots and others."
The gruff, hard-edged leader of the colony, his primary focus is colony safety/security. Ex-military, he was born for this job
50-65 years old, Male, deep(ish) voice, authoritative
"One of the colonists has gone missing—a young woman. She disappeared this afternoon near the edge of the forest outside the perimeter wall. She was with a companion when she vanished. They were both part of a collection team."

The young adventurer, who finds himself in over his head. Often under-estimated, he has a pension for computers and tech

"We usually take our orders from the foremen, but we all knew Cash as the security authority, so no one bothered to argue (besides, the guy is built like an Alabama defensive end)."
"I can’t say that she was over-enthusiastic to meet me. In fact, she barely looked up from her microscope when I introduced myself and showed her the drone parts. Her background, I discovered, is in biology, but I guess Cauldwell’s been dumping every ‘science’ related problem or challenge in her direction. Broken drones, computer infrastructure, strange plants, crop growth. Her manner didn’t bother me—in fact, if anything I’m more excited to lend a hand. You and I both know that I’m a damn sight better at microprocessors and code than I am at welding and painting."

A stoic missionary and true believer in a strange new religion; her cold, self-righteous manner makes her disliked and distrusted by others
18-28 years old, Female, stern voice and partially pious tone

The brash, obnoxious young celebrity personality who's come to the colony to enhance his "brand". He would call himself a journalist, but is really more of a glorified YouTube star
20- 30 years old, Male, HIGHLY energetic voice, speaks quickly
