The interview follows Bounce Bounder, a Specialist in the Glitterwolf military whose job is to wait for incoming messages from an eldritch entity deep below a mountainous crater. Squirt Sparkletail, on his quest to document the "Noble Glitterwolf Fight," interviews her for a good perspective of the front lines.
The entire script for this short runs underneath 800 words.

What is this?The first of hopefully many side stories to help explain the insane lore for Luminescence, a story that tries to play the "sparkle dog" trope straight.
Luminescence follows a Glitterwolf named Spiffy Sparkletail, and his mishaps involving his special ability (called a "suite"), Luminescence. It is a project of mine that I've been working on since 2022. It started in a small journal with some furry doodles and has expanded into so much more. I really appreciate your time looking at this work of heart.

How she sees herself -
Like most Glitterwolves in the military, your job is in your blood. You've earned your place at the receiving station, and you're proud of it. Specialist is the first real rank for a trained soldier, immediately after Private FC in Glitterwolf military. You're alert, you're slightly sarcastic, and you have a high respect for the person asking you questions. Oh- and you have something to prove.
How she is -
Despite landing a very prestigious job at a low rank, Bounce is still green around the gills. She has not seen action yet. As her career is set working logistics, she doesn't expect too much of it either, despite being positioned in one of the most dangerous bases on the front lines.
What I am looking for -
A deeper feminine voice, slightly gruff, but still young enough for somebody in their early twenties. Talks with pride and may lean toward being disrespectful in tone.

“Honest huh? Well, the way they write it isn’t wrong. ‘Communication and monitoring is the first step in alleviating disaster.’ But it’s deeper than that, isn’t it?”
I need a yelp or startled scream. Something short, like somebody had popped a hydrogen balloon behind you. Three contrasting takes please.
(NARRATING): "My mouth feels like cotton, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth like a scab. I stare at the radio, unable to blink. It feels like a bad dream, but the pain of biting my cheek lets me know that this is real. And we’re in deep. I turn to the Lieutenant Specialist for some sort of guidance, but he just stares at something a bit above my head. His cool demeanor has shifted, his smile not quite reaching his eyes."
How he sees himself -
You are Squirt Sparkletail. One of the offspring of the famous Sparkletail family, a highly intelligent overachiever, and you have a penchant with making yourself look cool as a cucumber in any situation. You are also one of the top six greatest fighters among the ranks of military, despite being in the Specialist Corps which deals more with logistics and planning rather than any actual battle.
You are also Squirt Sparkletail, the worrywart. Something you hide from everyone. Your suite, known as "Death Clock," allows you to see a group of four changing symbols over every living being's head. With practice and time you have come to find that these combinations of symbols are calculations of how close somebody is to dying. Every time you are able, you try to save somebody near death. You always remember the ones you couldn't or can't save.
How he is-
Squirt is a great example of "I can fix it." From an early age, he'd always try to take responsibility to help others. Growing up in a household with twelve siblings certainly made responsibilities easy to find, at least. Now he does it for a living. A high-ranking Specialist that is assigned and assigns himself to many strange and varied tasks, in the hopes of helping the warfront and by proxy his homeland, Sparkledogland (pronounced "SparkleDOGlend").
He is also the twin sibling to the main character of Luminescence, Spiffy. As such, if applying for this character, please be able and willing to voice him in future content.
What I am looking for-
A younger adult male voice, and one from somebody with a wide emotional range. Please be able to do highly emotional line deliveries, as well as the standard "gentle and cool" that Squirt defaults to. For the third line, please only read the parts written for Squirt, or you will not be considered. I will also need you to be able to voice Squirt in future parts, as he is a mainstay character for both main and side content for Luminescence.

SQUIRT (EMPHASIS ON 'ME'): “It's not for me, Specialist bounce." BEAT PAUSE FOR NARRATION "It’s come to the awareness of the council that much of the world doesn’t quite understand what we’re up against. I’ve been hoping to make a documentary on the Newborn and the soldiers fighting against it. With that said, please continue.”
Frustrated, Genuine, and sad. Said explosively during an argument with his sibling. (EMPHASIS ON "WRONG and I'M SORRY"): “I was wrong! Okay? Is that what you want to hear? I shouldn’t have ever said that and I’m sorry Spiffy!"
SPIFFY: “Say what you said, Squirt, or get the hell out.” ¶SPIFFY (NARRARTING): "Squirt swallowed, his smile so far from his face now that I could see our family resemblance. His lips pulled back in a quivering snarl, eyes bubbling into black watery blobs." ¶SQUIRT (DISTRAUGHT): Softly, almost a whisper, “You ruin everything, Spiffy.”
