Lucid Series Season 1
Project Overview
This casting Call will be here until 2020. This'll be an animated series in a few years. Then, I shall have started a kickstarter to fund this project, paying the animators appropriately, as well as the voice actors. Before then, I'll still ask for auditions for the pilot. Currently, I have no money to give, so I have to post this as UnPaid. So, yeah.
The project is about A group of characters whom when they fall asleep awake in supposedly another reality with a different identity. No one seems to realize any changes, believing their current world was the one they've always been in, except for one man. Greg seeks to escape this dream world, along with his friends, but is stopped by a mysterious man in blue. This is all seen by the main character, Lucy, whom is unaware she is in a dream.

An annoying nerd who tries to talk with Lucy a few times, who's never interested. He talks pretty normal, and isn't at all ugly, but his annoyance just loses everyone of the main characters. The Voice actor for this can probably play other characters as well.
Voice I'm looking for: A bit lighter voiced male, perhaps some scratch in his voice, pretending to be comfortable, thinking he's in control.
Lucy’s phone then buzzed, as someone was calling. She went over to her cell phone, seeing that the name of who was calling was ‘Michael Fischer’. Lucy again, looking confused by the name. Note, Michael Fischer is William.
Agni (Lucy): **Picks the phone up; answers** Hello?
Michael (Will): **Worried** Hey, princess… feeling better now?
Agni (Lucy): **Familiar with the voice** Oh, you. Why are you calling?
Michael (Will): What? You don’t remember? You must have been drunk last night… but that was a pretty strong punch for being drunk.
Agni (Lucy): Wait… what?
Michael (Will): Yeah, you punched me.
Agni (Lucy): **Mumbles to self** Oh… that sounds like something I’d do to you…
Michael (Will): What was that?
Agni (Lucy): **Annoyed** Nothing…
Michael (Will): Anyways, I hope to see you again tonight, maybe in the same dress… or better if you have one.
Agni (Lucy): Better?
Michael (Will): Yeah, one with a bit less… fabric.
Agni (Lucy): **Disgusted** Right… So tell me… where am I?
Michael (Will): Where are you? Why, Natalie, you’re at your home, your pent house. I’d love to come over again.
Agni (Lucy): **Disgusted** Great… What is the name of this city?
Michael (Will): Wow, that hangover’s going great… **Sigh** You’re in Dolivan Central Tower.
Agni (Lucy): Donovan?
Michael (Will): Dolivan, it’s the name of the city.
Agni (Lucy): Right… I forgot… Why do I live on the top of this building?
Michael (Will): You’re the one who requested it, you tell me.
Agni (Lucy): **Annoyed** I’m rather scared of heights, I wouldn’t.
Michael (Will): Look, call me back later when you’re all calmed down and I can--
Lucy hung up on this guy.
Normally calm; inquizitive; sarcastic; sometimes happy around Paul, add your own flare to it.She's mainly a passive character in all of this. Although, in some episodes she does remember the previous day as it truly was. It isn't until the end when she becomes proactive, though. However, something does find an interest in her.
She's protective of Abby, her daughter, even though she doesn't know she's her daughter until the end.
Remember, these characters change identities each day, not realizing it at all, identity includes their age, name, and hair color.
Voice I'm looking for: One that fits the general design which may change. Not very peppy, assuming the world is as it should be, so she remains confident.
Cheerful:
(Lucy): **Laughing**
(Lucy): Thanks, it’s been awhile since I’ve laughed that much.
(Paul): Well, Jack was a bit of idiot, so you can’t give me the credit.
(Lucy): **Laughs** This day has just been going so well… and then to top it off, meeting you again.
(Paul): What are friends for? We should hang more!
(Lucy): Yeah, we should. **Looks out window; sees house** Oh! **Bus stops at bus stop; Lucy gets up** See you again!
Bored:
Mother: Wake up! **Has a fearful face; a beat passes; walks away from Lucy**
Julie (Lucy): … my dream I had last night was a bit weird.
Mother: **Getting her stuff together** That’s nice.
Julie (Lucy): Some stuff about this guy at some job I worked at… **Thinks; looks embarrassed; decides not talk about that part** Then later…. I met up with an old friend or something and we were laughing on and on. My head had become a pumpkin… or something. **Chews on the little that’s left of the pancakes**
Mother: **Heading to the door** See you later, Julie.
Julie (Lucy): **Confused by the pancake** It doesn’t seem like you fully cooked these.
Scared:
Old Man (Greg): **Runs up to Lucy** Jess! What’s going on here?
Julie (Lucy): **Confused, and scared; steps back** I’m sorry, I don’t know you.
Old Man: **Grabs Lucy** Come on Jess! You have to remember me! How did I get so old?
Julie (Lucy): **Scared** Get off of me!
Old Man (Greg): **Confused** Jess?... You can’t forget me! It’s me… Samuel! We’ve been friends for the past few years at Devine Corps. **Thinks; sees Lucy’s expression** Come on! We even kissed yesterday! **Thinks** You have to remember me! **Scared** Oh, Jess! **Hugs Lucy**
Julie (Lucy): **Screams** HELP! Get this Pervert off of me! **Violently struggles from him**
Annoyed:
Mr. Simple (Paul): **Eager interest** Julie, please why were you late?
Julie (Lucy): **Annoyed** It’s none of your business!
Paul is best friend of Lucy and very loyal; Mainly a kind person; can be stern at times.
Remember that these characters change identities from day to day without acknowledging it. Identiy includes: age, name, and hair color. Paul becomes a moderator of these dreams part way through the series. So, he knows what's going on and is looking out for his friends. Though, doesn't quite know if what he remembers is real.
Voice I'm looking for: Deeper, mature, in partial control, but not a booming voice. What would make sense with the general design, which may change.
(Lucy) and (Paul): **Laughing**

Julie (Lucy): **Gives him slip**
Mr. Simple (Paul): Ah, thank you, take a seat. **Waits for Lucy to begin walking; curious** Now, you shouldn’t have been late today…
Julie (Lucy): **Silently and aggressively takes her seat**
Mr. Simple (Paul): **Eager interest** Julie, please why were you late?
Julie (Lucy): **Annoyed** It’s none of your business!
Mr. Simple (Paul): **Relaxing** Alright, so onward…
Buyer (Vince): How much for this one?
Grandpa (Paul): Three Five ones.
Buyer (Vince): A bit much.
Grandpa (Paul): **Shrugs** We all need to eat.
Vince reaches into one of his pockets, pulling out some money, handing it to Paul, carrying the bowl away. Turns to stare at Lucy.
Buyer (Vince): **Looking stern** Have a nice day.
Lucy is confused, then looks at Paul, who seems to become anxious by this, now.
Delila (Lucy): Are you okay?
Grandpa (Paul): **Nervous; stern** Fine… but perhaps you should leave for home.
Delila (Lucy): Why?
Grandpa (Paul): **Insistent; commanding** Go.
Greg is the one who realizes he and the others are in a dream world, thus never fully trusts his reality. He's a friend to Paul and Lucy, though doesn't fully trust Paul. Lucy is the only one he trusts. As much as he seeks to enlighten her, at times he lays low, not bothering to convince her.
He might've been in a war before this all started, but he doesn't know for sure. His memory fades away.
Through these episodes his age will change, but he insists on calling himself Greg.
Voice I'm looking for: A bit deep (Maybe not), trying to maintain control and understanding, always cautious, unless with Maria and focused on no one else. Also, fits with the design, to some extent as it may change a bit.
Scared:
Old Man (Greg): **Runs up to Lucy** Jess! What’s going on here?
Julie (Lucy): **Confused, and scared; steps back** I’m sorry, I don’t know you.
Old Man: **Grabs Lucy** Come on Jess! You have to remember me! How did I get so old?
Julie (Lucy): **Scared** Get off of me!

CUTS to them at lunch, perhaps a coffee shop or something.
Mel (Greg): **Goes over to table, carrying food; sits down**
Agni (Lucy): Um… say…
Mel (Greg): Have you noticed these inconsistencies?
Agni (Lucy): **Confused** Wait what?
Mel (Greg): **Looking around the place** Everything’s always different. We’re always in the wrong place. Like the streets crossing between buildings. Buildings reaching to the sky… then vehicles emerge. Not exactly in that order.
Agni (Lucy): I’m sorry… **Confused**
Mel (Greg): You’ve noticed this, haven’t you? These memories fading away like dreams. Dreams. That’s what we’ve all assumed they were. Strange things happening, we just pass them off as dreams, illusions. And what do we do with dreams? We forget about them. Now why’s that? Are they not important?
Agni (Lucy): **Confused** They’re random images and sounds that pass through our mind at night.
Mel (Greg): Yes… but what if they weren’t. What if they were visions of another time, another place.
Agni (Lucy): Ah, so that’s the theory you go with.
Mel (Greg): **Sighs** Theories… that’s all it is.
Suddenly, Greg barges in, holding a knife behind his back (but don’t show it). Lucy and Abby back away, scared. They were heading slowly to the back door.
Dan (Greg): **Calm, yet nervous** Lucy, Abby, please let me speak.
Mother (Abby): **Scared** Don’t come any closer, Dan.
Dan (Greg): My name isn’t Dan!
Delila (Lucy): **Scared** You’re crazy!
Dan (Greg): Don’t you realize what is happening?
Delila (Lucy): **Insistent** Did you kill anyone?
Dan (Greg): **Uncertain (on how to explain it)** Let me explain…
Mother (Abby): **Scared; uncertain** Is it true, Dan?
Lucy and Abby continue to back away. They’re in the kitchen, the island is gone, as well as the back door. Greg notices the changes, pointing at it.
Dan (Greg): **Acknowledging the alterations** See? The back door is gone!
Mother (Abby): Dan…
Dan (Greg): **Insistent** My name is Greg. You are Abby, you are Lucy.
Greg points to the two when he says their names.
Mother (Abby): **Confused** Abby?
Delila (Lucy): Dan, just answer our question: You didn’t kill anyone, did you?
Greg reluctantly reveals his knife, showing it still holds blood on it. He squints a bit with shame.
Dan (Greg): **Ashamed, but insistent (that it must be done)** I did…
Lucy and Abby were hitting the wall, Greg continuing to get closer. Greg Swings for Lucy, Abby leaps up, tackling Greg, letting Lucy run to the front door. Abby gets stabbed and ‘dies’. We can now see only two rooms, the kitchen, and the entry way. Greg takes his knife out of Abby.
Dan (Greg): It’s not what you think! This is the only way t--**Cut off as Lucy is leaving** (Full line: This is the only way to escape this dream)
Friend to Lucy and girlfriend of Greg. Though, he doesn't remember her until later on. She doesn't even remember it ever, except one episode in which she dies later.
She's a very spunky and frisky character, quite happy most of the time and energetic; sometimes rude
Each day, their identities change, so that would include her name, age, and hair color. She will believe that she has always been that way. She doesn't really care if it isn't true.
The voice actor for her can play other charactors as well.
Voice I'm looking for: Perhaps peppy, perhaps a bit seductive at times, Comfortable with her surroundings.
In the Mines:
Guard: **Angry; incredibly loud** Foolish Brat! Why Hast thou now chosen to sleep when visitors such as we are present?!
Maria quickly gets her things together.
(Maria): Sorry, sorry… Ever so many apologies, my lord.
Later....
Maria begins to swing more lazily now at this. The same guard sees this, heading over to her.
Guard: **Annoyed** How dare you, you lazy girl. Why dost thou choose to lack the will to do this job properly? **Hits her across the neck**
Maria falls to the ground, then gets up as soon as she can, facing to the guard.
(Maria): **In pain** Oh? Isn’t it though I am? Is it not my most willing strength? **Smiles at the guards**
Abby is asleep, Lucy shakes her awake.
Penny (Abby): **Jumping up from sleep; excited** What? What’s going on?
Kel (Maria): **Mocking** Oh, Penny-poo, you’re so jumpy. **Laughs**
Abby tucks up into a defensive ball, scared of Maria
Tammy (Lucy): Can’t you calm down for a moment, Kel?
Penny (Abby): **Vocally attacking Maria** You even woke me up from a beautiful dream!
Kel (Maria): **Smiling** Oh come on, you are so insecure. Tammy can’t defend you all of the time!
Greg and Paul were arguing about how real this world is. Greg looks at Lucy.
Howard (Greg): When I find the way out, I shall do my best to get you guys out before me.
Kel (Maria): Come on, Howard, enough with this, let’s just talk some more.
Howard (Greg): Not now, Marie.
Kel (Maria): **Insulted he didn't call her Kel (As she believes that to be her name)** Come on! I don’t care if this reality is fiction, can’t we just spend some time together?
Note: Abby's actualy age would be that of a child, as she is Lucy's daughter, but due to the age changes, she tends not to be a child very often, thus I chose Young Adult.
She's shy and timid, a bit confused by her surroundings, thus more aware of the daily changes.
The voice actor for her can play other characters as well.
Voice I'm looking for: Lighter, innocent, uncomfortable, uncertain, bit of awkwardness.
Abby was listening to Lucy and their other friends conversation.
Julie (Lucy): **Cuts Lynn off** Then, I tried to forget about it as I walked to school… and the creepiest thing happened.
Marise (Abby): **Interested** What was it?
Julie (Lucy): **Looking into the distance, showing fear** An old man came up to me… he grabbed me… He rambled on about how… he knew me… it was so creepy.
Kylie: **Takes some food to eat** Obviously delusional.
Marise (Abby): Oh my goodness… who was it? Are you alright?
Kylie, Mallory, and Lynn: **Giggle at Marise**
Julie (Lucy): Yeah, I’m fine. It was just frightening.
Marise (Abby): Look, strange things happened to me today too… I don’t know what’s going on. Have you been getting strange dreams, too?
Julie (Lucy): **Confused (As she’s forgotten by now)** Dreams?
Delila (Lucy): **Concerned** What happened?
Mother (Abby): **Crying; denying** Dan… Dan… He couldn’t.
Delila (Lucy): What?
Mother (Abby): **Sad** They… told me… he killed someone. **Crying** No… not just one… he had killed… many.
Delila (Lucy): **Surprised, scared** No… that can’t be true.
Mother (Abby): It is what they told me. **Crying**
There’s a knock on the door. (It’s Greg, but we don’t see that) Abby jumps from the noise.
Mother (Abby): **Scared; commanding** Go to the door…
Lucy goes to the door, opens it, sees Greg, gets scared, shuts the door.
Delila (Lucy): It’s Dan.
Mother (Abby): **Screaming; scared** Don’t let him in!
