Once upon a time, 9 people who dreamed of being idols discovered an anime franchise: Love Live: School Idol Project. Upon pure enjoyment of watching the dynamics within both μ’s and Aqours, they decided that maybe, this was their chance to become their own group.

 

Welcome to Love Live: Our Chance! This is a group that will start out as a Love Live! Cover Group, but eventually become an idol group of their own.

Here’s how this will work:

 

What I’m looking for are talented singers, managers/promoters, video editors/animators, artists, music producers, and mixers. These people will be taking on the roles similar to the members had in both Love Live! Series: for example, the member who will be singing Maki and Riko’s voice parts is the member responsible for creating harmony guides and, eventually, original music for the group. The member singing Kotori and You’s voice parts will be creating the artwork for the singers. The singer should sing in their natural voice: not trying to sound like the specific character! Audition for the part where you want to fulfill the roles listed. The point of the group is to get a head start on our own sort of idol debut by following the footsteps of our favorite anime girls.


This casting call will stay open until December 15th, 2017.


Some rules before you audition!


  1. 1. Please be kind to all others auditioning! Mean remarks will not be tolerated and any acts of bullying indicates immediate disqualification from casting.

  2. 2. Please have access to Discord if possible! It will be our primary method of communication and while email & Skype are okay, most of the planning will likely take place in Discord.

  3. 3. Please check your mic quality! While a professional USB Mic such as a Blue Yeti or Audio Technica is not required (although highly recommended!), what is required is a mic that will be sure to pick up your voice clearly. This will make mixing much easier.

  4. 4. Please audition with the intent of being committed to this project. This idea is very special to me (I've always wanted to sing original songs with a group of people) so I really want people who are equally as excited about the process as I am.

  5. 5. Have fun with your audition! And feel free to try out as many roles as you'd like (even though there can only be one role per person)! Reach out to me if you have any questions.

  • Reminder! You have 3 Days!

    Friendly reminder folks, the other singing roles will be open for 3 MORE DAYS! This means we will close off the Casting Call and Google Form at 11:59PM on Friday, December 15th. We will aim to get casting decisions out over that weekend! Staff roles (such as the Mika/Fumiko/Hideko roles) through the Google Form may stay open longer, and more staff positions may open up in the future too.

  • Last & Final Update!

    Hi guys! First off, we're incredibly sorry about the delays. I take full responsibility: I had originally set the date to December 31st and had later changed it, but it had still been marked as the 31st just about everywhere else. As a compromise, we've decided on making it the 15th: a halfway point. Additionally, we have an email now so if you haven't already auditioned, please send your extra samples over there! If you already have auditioned, I have received everything and forwarded it - so you are all set! All singers who auditioned for a dual staff/singer role (Eli/Kanan and Kotori/You) will be getting direct messages within the next week about whether you would like to be considered for staff or a singing position only. The project had once started off as staff-less, but to ease the pressure and bring in more talent into the community, we've decided to open up a few roles for the support. On another note, if you are someone who auditioned in one of our earlier months and find that you are no longer able to commit, please feel free to let me know! No hard feelings! Though I will say I share a feeling of immense thankfulness for those of you who have supported us from the start and continue to do so. Your active participation in shaping the group doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you again for your support, and for a handful of you - we will be in contact shortly!

  • UPDATE: WE'RE ALIVE!

  • Lyricist Cast!

    Wow... there were so many talented folks that this was a really hard decision to make. However, we are proud to announce that our lyricist (Umi/Hanamaru) has been cast and we will be getting in contact with them soon! A bit of a project update in general: we're still alive, don't worry folks! I know I've personally been very distant due to school stuff, but now that my academic semester is slowing down, I believe this winter we'll be up and active again. I may or may not be extending the deadline for the other cast members dependent on... something special 👀 so keep an eye out for that! Thank you so much for all of your patience and interest so far!!!

  • Lyricist Role Casting Pushed Back

    Hi guys! I know there was once an update that the lyricist would be cast earlier than the rest of the group today, September 8th. This deadline has been pushed back to November 1st: which will still be a month before the other roles are cast. Apologies for any inconveniences this might cause! In the meantime, we are working to get those additional staff roles up in the near future! I'll post another update when that happens and additionally spread it to the Twitter and other forms of social media. Thanks for your patience thus far! Description: The member taking on the voice parts of Honoka and Chika is responsible for choosing music for the group, setting deadlines, and promoting the group well by means of social media. They are the biggest cheerleader for the group and must be someone who will guarantee to stay loyal to it, even when the dynamics become difficult.

Description: The member taking on the voice parts of Riko and Maki should preferably be at least somewhat musically trained. They will be responsible for finding the harmonies of each song, and eventually composing the original music for the group. It is a huge plus if the member voicing Riko and Maki’s parts can play a musical instrument OR knows how to use music production software.
