Lost Heritage - Skyrim Quest Mod
Project Overview
Lost Heritage (name is subject to changes) is a mod about uncovering the ancestry and parentage of a girl behind a door. The quest delves into some Lovecraft themes and will explore the incredibly strange and terrifying family of Mal.
You'll first interact with her after finding a notice in Whiterun. Once speaking to her, she'll explain that she is unable to open the door between you due to an affliction. She seeks to find out who her ancestors are and who she is, and you've been hired to do just that.
The girl is clearly not fully human and is something different; there are many hints and descriptions of her and what she might be throughout the quest, but she'll never be visible to the player. These revelations and theories will be uncovered as you progress through the quest and learn more about her family.
The mod will feature a new village done in my own unique way and a cave for the player to explore.
This quest is heavily inspired by Bloodborne and its many door NPCs and it's also inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's works.

This is the only role up for auditions.
Mal is an NPC the player will never see so her voice and emotional range is incredibly important to making the character seem real and not like a disembodied voice. She should sound something like a mix of Anri from Dark Souls 3 (female) and Iosefka from Bloodborne (non-impostor). Her voice is meant to convey her kindness and lack of knowledge on the real world due to an incredibly sheltered upbringing. As she grows more sad, angry and confused, this really needs to be conveyed through her voice to make the player feel like she's reacting to their information.
The script is 81 lines long.
What I'm looking for:
- High quality microphone with no background noise
- A voice that can effectively capture the emotional range of Mal and her tragic character
- The ability to record and send these lines within a timely manner

"It’s no common cold. My flesh… it writhes and squirms, like something is trying to burst out of it." (Pained and sad)
"Ever since my birth, I’ve been nothing but an abberation, a tumour on Nirn. I’m diseased, malformed, a mistake." (Devastasted, grow more sad as you finish the line)
(Confusion and sadness turns to anger) "All my life, I’ve been nothing but tortured for an existence I didn’t ask for, punished for the acts of a man who doesn’t care if I live or die!"
