Loaded Dice - Webcomic [ Wave 1 ]

Loaded Dice - Webcomic [ Wave 1 ]

Project Overview

"What would you do if a dice controlled your fate?"

Loaded Dice is an upcoming webcomic planning for release in late 2026-2027. The story follows Asterios "Aster" Onasis and his group of friends who share the common interest of Dungeons & Dragons. Things begin to shift when Aster is gifted a new dice set, as once he uses it at his next game session, he and his friends are transported to another world. Lost in a fantasy realm of their own making, the group must find their way back to each other and figure out how to return to their world. However, things prove themself to be harder than they seem when Asters' friends are lost in the mindset of the characters they created. Now, Aster must double the responsibility of jogging his friends' memories and getting them home safely.

Starweaver is a new studio for visual productions, where we thread ideas into full creative works! We are looking for (16+) long-term team members who have a passion for our idea and for working within our studio. All positions require a flexible schedule and availability to work frequently. English speakers are required, but it does not need to be your first language.

The deadline for wave 1 auditions is April 1st, 2026 [UPDATED]. People may be chosen earlier than this, but this is the official hard deadline. Missed the date? No worries! Starweaver has plenty of opportunities coming for you in the future. We plan to open roles for other projects and will give opportunities to even more artists such as musicians, voice actors, video editors, and more!

Discord is required for all positions. Once chosen, you will be contacted by a project lead to welcome you to the studio. You will be provided an onboarding document explaining how projects under Starweaver work before being invited to the team Discord server. There, you'll get to work alongside other artists and staff to help bring this project to life.

Matching the project's art direction is very important to being apart of the team! You can click here for our Art Study Guide to make sure you are capable of adapting to the styles mentioned and can submit relevant examples.

Here are some additional things we look for in Starweaver members:

  • Long-term Collaboration. As mentioned, Starweaver projects are all long-term projects. We want to create long lasting productions and build partnerships with artists to help them grow and learn alongside the staff.

  • Active Communication. Communicating clearly and in a timely manner is key to success in Starweaver. While you do not need to constantly online, we expect you to be active enough to be responsive to announcements and keep progress schedule running smoothly.

  • Passion. Members should be passionate and happy to be doing the work they're assigned. We want members who love the concepts we come up and have a genuine excitement to work on them.

  • Reliability. We are looking for members who will meet deadlines and work effectively during their time with us. We want members who can prove they're a strong team member and can collaborate effectively with other members.

Studio logo will be replaced with the comic's logo soon. Looking forward to hearing for you! With love from the stars,

Starweaver

Latest Updates

  • Deadline Updated

Hello everyone! Due to the influx of auditions both here and on Discord, we have decided to shorten the deadline of the project! We have received so many wonderful submissions and our shortlist cast feels as strong as ever. Due to the amount of shortlisted members we have, we have decided to shorten the deadline to get production going quickly after the interview process.

Applications will now close on April 1st, 2026. We will review and mark submissions as 'shortlisted' or 'dismissed' on a rolling basis. If you miss any information in your submission, we will comment and request said information before making a final decision. Thank you all for your support!

  • Shortlist Interviews

For everyone who has been shortlisted so far, congratulations! You're one step towards a chance at joining us on our journey. The next step is to plan an interview to get to know you better as a potential employee. All interviews will be done through text on Discord!

You can expect a DM from @starweaver.official if you have been shortlisted to discuss the next steps. If we are unable to friend you, or you did not provide your discord tag, we will message you here to notify you. Please make sure your friend requests are on!

If you submit after this, don't worry! We check auditions every day and your status should be quickly updated.

  • Discord Server & Shortlisting

Hello everyone! I am happy to say we have an official community discord server up and running! Joining is optional, but we'd love to see who is willing to engage with our community, especially for auditioners. Check it out here: https://discord.gg/maQWEyD2bC

Additionally, starting Monday, February 9th, we will begin shortlisting auditioners. What this means is we may be marking you as a strong contender. Keep an eye out for this change, as those who are marked as shortlisted will be expected to have an interview through text as an expansion to their audition! Thank you again for all your support.

  • Submission Reminder

Thank you so much for all the support on the first day! This is just a reminder to everyone to make sure to follow the submission guidelines when auditioning. We have noticed quite a few auditions lacking the desired info and only showing their portfolio. Please go edit that info in if possible. Can't wait to look through all your submissions!
