Project Overview
Before auditioning please note that:
Regardless of whether or not it says to provide your discord user in your audition, PROVIDE IT!
There is a group chat arranged with a script for everybody in the cast to view, so please do NOT ask where it is.
I am going to be generous with deadlines for lines, however I do need them if I want this finished.
Backing track music is only needed when asked for. Please make sure when singing that you are singing in time, it is very difficult to time lines and it makes it easier when you have recorded them in time.
Side characters are not as important as main characters and will get a longer deadline unless main characters are busy.
You will be credited AT THE END! Main characters (before the performance (audio) starts will be credited with discord users but you can request this to be change) have their requested users shown and everyone else (side characters e.g. Customer 1) is credited at the end.
Yes, the project will be uploaded to YouTube! There will be little to no screenplay; this is meant to be an AUDIO recording with speaking.
TIP: If you play Seymour, Audrey, or Audrey II, it is recommended that you practice with the other actors e.g. on a call when you can as it makes it easier to get used to timing! Chiffon, Crystal and Ronnette have a harder job as most of their singing is in sync but again please make sure it is in time (I won’t be mad if its a little off, I know you probably don’t know each other so you can’t really do this).
Please record songs separately when you are cast and upload them to your channel e.g. #Seymour_lines, #Seymour_singing
Background noise is fine as long as it isn’t affecting the audio majorly and your voice is at a decent quality.

In general, he‘s insecure, naive and also kind of nerdy. You don’t have to follow that, in fact I’d be interested in different spins on the character. Singing and speaking is required

In general, she is a kind and sweet lady (with a strong New York accent) but as with all the other characters, I am interested to see other spins on the characters. Singing and speaking is required.
(Spoken) You see, Mr Mushnik, some of those exotic plants Seymour’s been tinkering around with are really unusual, and we thought that maybe some of these strange and interesting new plants prominently displayed and advertised would attract business.

You can either do an impression of the original/an already existing Mushnik or take your own spin on him. This is an only speaking role.
