Little Old Place Where We Got Together (Love Shack, Baby!) - Homestuck Podfic by The Doomed Timelines
Project Overview
The Doomed Timelines is a Homestuck podfic podcast!
This time we'll be doing a podfic of the fanfiction Little Old Place Where We Got Together (Love Shack, Baby!)' by whimsicalAdoration. (https://archiveofourown.org/works/88841251)
"You’ve never had a one-on-one with him, thus everything you know is mostly from your brother. And while you trust Dave’s word, it’s hard to believe a guy who tried putting on his jacket in the dark--and, evidently, needed help--is a conniving, cruel prankster with an atrocious taste in cinematography.
Well, you believe that last part. Just a little.
---
Dirk and John are depressed and handling it in their own respective ways. Only now, they're together. And still handling it in their own respective ways."
This project is open to anyone 18+ who wants to play any of these roles! Don't worry about having a specific "sound" for any character, or any experience you may or may not have. This is for fun!

John giggles. Giggles. A man in his mid-20’s laughing at his own head joke. Correction: your head joke.
As they say in sports, homerun. Touchdown? Maybe they say absolutely nothing in sports. You wouldn’t know. You don’t know shit about sports.
He grins and winks at you. You can’t even call it a wink. He just blinks at you, one eye marginally before the other.
Post-canon by a few years. Implied light Texan accent at least some of the time, but no experience/proficiency is necessary.

A man can only handle so many stone rumps offending his tired eyes.
Did you just say “eye roll” out loud instead of actually rolling your eyes?
Alright, we’re almost there. Get ready for the coolest fuckin’ house you ever did see

it feels like living in a movie and not a good movie. not even a so-bad-it-is-good movie. just a bad, bad movie.
no, your honor, please. in my defense it was a super well timed joke. can’t blame a man for being good at his craft.
ugh, don’t get me started. i’ve had way too many screaming matches with karkat about the best way to watch a movie.
