Project Overview

What restricts you?

"LIMITS" is a superhero-oriented audio drama series following a collection of youngbloods who must use their heavily restricted powers to their fullest potential to thwart dastardly machinations.

Each episode follows Radiant, a dangerous young man trying to discover the proper use of his limited powers and, perhaps more importantly, what it means to fight for the greater good.

While I do have some characters and their powers conceived, I'm looking for more ideas to create more episodes in the future. Whether you want to serve as a VA, writer, character creator, or editor, you can help by auditioning for this project and/or joining the discord server linked below.

One note, if I cast you for a character, you'll have to commit to it, as this is only the first episode of many.

    Only 3 days are remaining for auditions, followed by the cast selection on October 1st. I cannot believe how far this has come since the end of August, and with the release approaching fast, I can’t wait to decide who will bring their voices to my characters.

  • Halfway there!

    We are just 12 days away from the audition deadline and at 49 submissions! I cannot be any more excited for LIMITS to come to life with your voices in it!

    If you've wondered what I've been doing lately, I hosted my first convention panel a week ago at Queen City Anime Con in Concord, NC last weekend. It had a great turnout by my standards and was just a fun time overall for everyone involved.

  • No More Voice Claims!

    Hi, Nick here! I wanted to pop up here and declare that I removed the voice claims for every character. In an effort to experiment with unique voices instead of set-in-stone pop culture icons. So, with that, get creative. GLHF with your submissions!

  • First Update

    Thank you for the support on this project so far!

    I'm here with some big updates for LIMITS. First off, I'm almost finished with the script for this pilot episode. I'm planning to add more dialogue between the different characters to hopefully make it run for at least 20 minutes, about the length I want to go for each episode.

    Secondly, I added some roles! They include Firebrand, a veteran superhero, and Tides, who serves as the first villain of the series. AS I write this, Tides has no submissions, whereas Firebrand has only one. Be sure to get that impression practice in if you want to be considered for these respective roles. (also idk how a supporting character in Kelsey has the most submissions lol) Remember, I HIGHLY suggest you join the official LIMITS Discord server linked in the description above if I cast you.

    Third, and finally, I created the official Twitter/X account for LIMITS earlier today. You can go follow it using the tag @/LIMITSseries (remove the slash while searching on the site for it)

  • Why are the sporadic updates happening?

    Hi there! I'm the creator of LIMITS and I wanted to discuss the weird changes to the characters.

    First of all, I changed Thunderhead's superhero alias to Radiant because it makes a little more sense compared to Thunderhead. Second, the title of this project changed slightly to reflect the name change. Finally, I'm adding a lot of roles soon as I get closing to completing the script, so keep your eyes on the announcements section to see when they get added.
