Project Overview

Featherfall Studios is beginning its 4th Fandubbing project! We are going to be dubbing all three games of Lieat, but this Casting Call is only for the first game: The Lie-Eating Dragon and the Vermilion Vampire. As per usual with our fandubs, this is a non-profit fandub, so there will be no payment if you decide to audition.

Lieat is a small three-part indie game(s) made by Miwashiba and published by Playism. It follows Efina (Efi) and her partner/guardian Theo who changes his name at every town they go to. Together they gather and sell information and solve mysteries as they go.


To audition, please follow these basic rules:

1. Have a good microphone; that means no pops, crackling, or other distracting noises. We should be able to clearly hear your lines with no background sounds.


2. Be dedicated. Projects can often take 6 months to a year to complete.


3.  You must have a discord account and an e-mail address so that you can receive the scripts, know when the deadlines are, and be able to send in your lines.


4.  You must be 18 years or older to audition.


If you are unfamiliar with the game or a character, it would be a good idea to watch a walkthrough of it. You don't have to, but we highly suggest it.

  • Casting This Weekend

Theo is very focused on his work and reserved about his personal life. He will act kindly to new people, in order to gain people's trust, but act naturally in front of people who already know his real self, like his informants and Efi. He can be very sarcastic. He has a tendency to get annoyed easily, especially by Efi, and her energetic and inquisitive tendencies. 

  • ... Shaddup runt. We're almost there just be quiet and walk.

  • Yeah... About that... Her. She hatched. From the egg. ... I still don't get it either.

  • Alright. Now gimmie the usual: Tell me everything that happened and what you heard from people

Keith first appears as a kind, calm, and soft-spoken person who lives a peaceful life in the town and takes care of his sister. He will go to extreme measures in order to protect her. He constantly lies to the visitors of the town and can be quite sinister if her feels like people get too close to the truth.

  • Would you like something to eat? I like making sweets, so I could whip something up.

  • Our race has a special diet too, but lies...? That's surprising.

  • Oh... Yes, though my brain might be a bit slow... If you insist, detective.

Rachel is a gentle little girl who has a good heart and fully trusts her brother. She loves to talk, but she refrains from it because her brother ordered so. She did break the rule when she talked to Efi.

Rosalie is a determined person. She was an aristocrat, but she ran away from home and became an informant. She has a lot to learn because she is easily tricked and a little selfish.

Neil has a rather laid-back personality although he can adopt a more serious tone when the situation calls for it. He is a leader and therefore has leader-like qualities, such as commitment and charisma, but he does like to sit back and take his time when he can. He's very kind to people, no matter who they are, and often keeps Brett calm.

  • Yeah... To be expected, though. You're always around when these things happen.

  • ...Unless I indicate otherwise, it is our duty to protect even these two.

  • It doesn't particularly require anything but a simple application of force, but... these are the symbols of being a dragon.

Brett is a stern and straightforward dragon who mainly focuses on work. He has a caring side to him, especially with fellow dragons. He’s short-tempered and won’t hesitate on speaking his mind, often stopped by Neil during his outbursts. He also has a strong sense of justice and tends to threaten whoever breaks the law.

  • You again...?! I don't suppose you're the culprit in this case?

  • ... You look happy. That's a relief.

  • And what do your orders mean to me?!

Jeil is Keith and Rachel's father. Jeil took care of them and loved them a lot, but kept Rachel’s tendencies a secret until his death.
