This is the last of three casting calls for Featherfall Studios' 4th Fandubbing project! This is for the third game in the LiEat trilogy: The Lie-Eating Dragon & the Gold Thief. As per usual with our fandubs, this is a non-profit fandub, so there will be no payment if you decide to audition.
Lieat is a small three-part indie game(s) made by Miwashiba and published by Playism. It follows Efina (Efi) and her partner/guardian Theo who changes his name at every town they go to. Together they gather and sell information and solve mysteries as they go.
To audition, please follow these basic rules:
1. Have a good microphone; that means no pops, crackling, or other distracting noises. We should be able to clearly hear your lines with no background sounds.
2. Be dedicated. Projects can often take 6 months to a year to complete.
3. You must have a discord account and an e-mail address so that you can receive the scripts, know when the deadlines are, and be able to send in your lines.
4. You must be 18 years or older to audition.
If you are unfamiliar with the game or a character, it would be a good idea to watch a walkthrough of it. You don't have to, but we highly suggest it.

While acting as the Butterfly thief, Cyril (10y/20y) speaks calmly and gallantly. When she removes her mask, she’ll act naturally, letting her emotions run free. She’s a really expressive and loyal person, and if someone loses her trust, it’s almost impossible for her to believe again, as she’s also capable of holding grudges for a long time.
I am looking for a mid range voice. Her voice should be a bit showy voice for "Butterfly", but she will be come more unhinged as the game goes on.
(Young Cyril Nervous) ...Hey, this gun doesn't have any bullets left.
(The Butterfly Thief) ...Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Nice to meet you if this is our first meeting. You may call me the butterfly
(Adult Cyril Anger and confusion) ...What have I been doing all this time?! What did I despise you for?!
Gene (12y/22y) is one of the found family members from Theo's past. Gene is an outgoing and talkative person. He talks casually and doesn’t hesitate when talking about his feelings, though sometimes he comes off feeling a little flustered.
I am looking for a deeper or richer voice tone. He should feel approachable and a bit like a jokester.
(Young Gene Lying) U-Um... I don't know... (whisphering) ...Crap, they found out about the things we stole before too?
(Adult Gene Exasperation)...Don't say that kind of stuff in front of Cyril. See ya... Theo.
Enos (13y/23) is one of the member of Theo's found family. He is a nervous and sensitive person, always responsible with work. He can’t handle crowded places or heights and gets dizzy easily. He said he doesn’t like to dwell in the past, and also mumbles to himself when he’s trying to predict the future or make plans.
He should sound be a bit on the quieter side and in the mid to high range.
(Young Enos) Shouldn't be any big conflicts today, I think.
(Adult Enos) Cyril told you, didn't she? That's how she feels now... No, for a long time, And I've thought a lot about that day myself. But... I still believe in you
(Adult Enos panic/terrified) Urgh, we're so high up... Can we, um, hold on, can we go lower, or, aah...
Iris (15y) is an impulsive, expressive, and lively girl working for the investigation unit of the police. She tends to say what she is thinking and acts just as freely, even though that may put her in trouble sometimes. Despite that, she can be a very analytical and hard worker, offering her help whenever she can.
Her voice is warm and excitable, with that ability to become more serious when things go awray. I am looking for a mid to high vocal range.
(Out of breath into Confident)...Sorry to keep you waiting! Iris Ashbery, captain of the polices's special investigative division, at your service!
While the unit headed by Captain Neil will focus on doing battle with dangerous criminals... The new investigative unit will focus on investigative matters!
(Worried, Professional) ...What are you planning Captain Neil? They'll only regenerate if you attack. There's simply on end to them!
This is the younger version of the main character Theobald. Theo (14y) is very protective of his found family and will act like what he thinks an adult would act likes.
... Enough, Shut up already. I'm tired of that stupid story.
I'm no fanciful storybook thief. But I can do enough to protect you all. Because we all carry the name Leonhart here.
THIS IS AN EMERGANY RECAST!
Neil (40y) has a rather laid-back personality although he can adopt a more serious tone when the situation calls for it. He is a leader and therefore has leader-like qualities, such as commitment and charisma, but he does like to sit back and take his time when he can. He's very kind to people, no matter who they are, and often keeps Brett calm. I am looking for a deeper voice.
Yeah... To be expected, though. You're always around when these things happen.
...Unless I indicate otherwise, it is our duty to protect even these two.
It doesn't particularly require anything but a simple application of force, but... these are the symbols of being a dragon.
