Project Overview
// SO I WANNA MAKE A BAND...
i'm looking for people who share a passion for music and can also make some chill friends! i don't have a member count or certain formation in my head, so anything goes at the moment. some things you should know first:
- this will be an internet band unless we decide to meet in person. please have discord as we will be communicating on there. also, please have a basic knowledge of the internet and technology since we will be using it often.
- i ask that you have a microphone or clear method of recording so all of our songs are good quality!
- you can audition for more than one role. all band members can be involved in the writing and singing of the songs should they choose to be. my role in the group will be singer/songwriter.
- we might not be able to write a song everyday, but please be active in the group! i'd like it if we were all close. (:
- have fun! i'm not much of a serious person, so there's no stress here, my dudes.
i'm not sure the exact kind of music i would like to make, but the kinds of music i like most are indie, grunge, lofi, 80s pop, blues rock, and industrial pop. while my tastes kind of vary, i'm not much of a fan of metal, screamo, or country music. i'll link some of the artists i'm most inspired by below. these are songs that i imagine the music i make sounding like. these are just a few songs i like the vibe of.

fun fact: idk the correct pronunciation of my own name. i just accept however people say it. most of my friends call me kah or kahi to save themselves the trouble.
i'm an 18 yr old girl from florida. i'm in college, tryna ball on a budget, you feel?
i enjoy pineapple pizza and writing at 3am.
i used to play piano and guitar but my skills kind of faded. i want to relearn, though. now i play ukulele.
i'm more of a writer than a singer. my voice isn't very strong, but i do enjoy singing. i have a low vocal range and my voice tends to be on the softer side. i've heard that i sound indie and i've heard that i sound jazzy, i guess it just depends on how you hear it. i will have a demo of an acoustic song i wrote on my profile!
i have a scarlett 2i2 studio set and a laptop that i record with.
i've never been in a true band, so i'm open to all knowledge and suggestions.

the visual specialist will basically be in charge of managing the "aesthetic" of the band. everyone will have a say in this but you will be our main factor in creating album art, photos for social media and music videos etc.
