Lesser Evils

Project Overview

It started with Walter Reine, the son of one of the richest men in the city. Then it was Ada Moore, one of the city’s local librarians. Eliza’s friends are all going missing, and she plans to find them- but what she doesn’t know is that she’s up against the supernatural in 1948 New York.

Please add this information to your audition:


  • Name (include nickname, stage name, names that you’d like to go by, etc)


  • Age


  • Pronouns


  • Are you okay with being casted as another role? An ensemble role? Multiple roles?


  • Audio file of audition lines (should be labeled as “*Real Name* - Audition for *Character Name*


  • Discord tag (this will be the point of contact for the cast and crew)


  • Possible Scheduling Issues (Recording starts mid to late July)


  • Time Zone (We are EST)



Almost all of the lead characters are LGBT, and while sexual orientation isn’t the deciding factor in auditions, having LGBT people play these characters is preferable. Also note that Ada is POC- a POC actress is preferable for her as well. A diverse cast is important, however, Lesser Evils does not ask for race or sexuality. With that in mind- even though character gender is specified, don’t restrict yourself to certain roles, especially if you’re a nonbinary or transgender actor.


Actors should have a good mic and audition using the mic that they plan to record with. However, if you are an actor that someone on the team knows irl, access to a good microphone can be arranged.


For now, this will be unpaid, but payment via listener donations is planned. Auditions close June 1 at 11:59:59 PM.


Due to family obligations, recording won’t start until July. Once everyone is casted, a schedule will be made.


CONTENT WARNINGS: This show will cover topics such as suicide, self harm, and drug abuse.

  • Notice About Casting (nothing bad, we promise)

    Hey everyone! As we get closer to the end of auditions, I just want to inform you all about what’s going to happen in terms of casting notifications: Emails/messages confirming casting will start to go out June 2, and will end upon the final release of the cast list- which will come out June 13 at the latest. Unfortunately, if you’re not cast, you will not get email confirmation, due to the fact that not everyone sent in submissions by email. Casting Call Club Specific Updates: Casting will not be done the usual way it’s done on CCC (that is, by closing roles). This is because likely, not everyone cast will have auditioned on CCC. You will be notified of casting by getting a direct message from me. After that, I’ll need your email for better contact.
