Hello Casting Call Club!
I'm looking to finally get started on recording the commentary for a playthrough/Let's Play of LEGO Racers very soon - I've got most of the footage I need recorded (I cannot beat Gypsy Moth on Nightmare-a-thon at the moment), but I thought it'd be fun to grab some of the fine folks at Casting Call Club to provide the voices of the various LEGO Racing "champions" for each of their very short (2-3 line) introduction cutscenes.
As I'm a very small YouTube channel these voices will be "pro bono" work.
Please feel free to try any interpretation of the characters you'd like.
My main guidelines for your submissions are the following:
1) Ideally the timing of each line should fit with the timing of the accompanying subtitles wherever appropriate (see the YouTube video included with each role for a guide), however feel free to trim the lines down if you feel there's simply not enough time before the animation moves on.
For example, in Captain Redbeard's intro, I would totally accept the second line just being read as "You are no match for the great Captain Redbeard!" and cutting out the part after that, as there's very little time before his laughing animation and sound effect.
2) Your submission shouldn't have any noticable background noise or "hissing".
Every role cast will receive credits in the video their work is featured in, both in the video itself as a prominent subtitle and in the description.

Thank you all so, so much for your submissions thus far - I've ended up casting a few roles already, but there's still a fair few roles that need filling - if you didn't get one you'd auditioned for, why not try for one of the other roles!
I've decided to extend the deadline a little bit to hopefully get a few more submissions in - I'm very much looking forward to seeing you guys' interpretations of some of the other available roles!

Anyone who's played LEGO Racers agree with me that Veronica Voltage is the real final boss of the game?
I most likely won't be playing through the time trial modes, but Veronica Voltage appears in Rocket Racer's intro cutscene!
