Lego Harry Potter Breaks Bad (Harry Potter x Breaking Bad Brickfilm Series)
Project Overview
Lego Harry Potter Breaks Bad is an upcoming project that is currently in the early stages of development. It is planned to be a series of LEGO brickfilms with multiple episodes covering each book in the Harry Potter series.
Plot
The story centers around a Breaking Bad parody of the Harry Potter films. Like the source material, we follow Harry Potter as he is introduced to the wizarding world and offered a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. All is not as it seems, as Harry quickly becomes familiar with the dealings in the wizarding underworld. After becoming acquainted with new friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, and quickly forming a rivalry with Draco Malfoy, Harry realizes that he is destined for greater things than being a mere wizard; for he and his friends begin to cook crystal meth in secret, all the while trying to avoid their rival, the evil meth kingpin, Lord Voldemort.
Plan
The series will be animated by myself, for I have already gone out of the way to buy a boatload of Harry Potter LEGO sets to make it possible. The series will hopefully have a serviceable animation, but the primary goal is to make a comedically written series with some talented voice actors.
Each of the Harry Potter books will be adapted into a series of episodes, each of varying sizes. Lego Harry Potter Breaks Bad will generally follow the plot of the source material with a variety of Breaking Bad style twists and quirks.
Longterm Project
This is a long-term project that is still in pre-planning. Voice actors should expect to wait before being given any concrete scripts. Please ensure that you have discord so that you can be contacted by the project owner easily. Actors who are cast in leading roles will hopefully reprise them in future seasons.

This casting call is only for The Philosopher's Stone, the first book in the Harry Potter series and also the first season of the parody.

Harry Potter is the boy who lived... in the cupboard under the stairs, that is. While he starts out as a shy and awkward child who is reluctantly subservient to his Aunt and Uncle, he eventually uncovers his true origin in the wizarding world and immediately embraces his celebrity status, believing himself to be the absolute best, he becomes a total egomaniac who is full of himself. With all that said, he still harbors a heart of gold.
[You just lost your meth cook and are trying to remain confident by pretending you didn't need them anyway] "I mean seriously... what did Hermione even do that was so special? We don't need her! We can do this perfectly fine on our own!"
[You're gloating about your celebrity status] "Uh yeah, Ron, of course they think I'm cool! 'm Harry Potter. I'm literally the coolest kid alive!"
[You're outlining your plan for a meth empire to Ron and Hermione] "Hermione will be the cook and handle all of the nerd shit. Ron will be our dealer. And me? Well, I've got the most important job of all, because it's my job as executive manager of Potter Meth & Co. to oversee the entire operation."
Ron Weasley is a goofball who quickly befriends Harry Potter during his first year at Hogwarts. Unlike his friends Harry and Hermione, Ron has lived in the wizarding world all his life and therefore believes he has a lot of street cred. Ron thinks of himself as someone who is suave and cool, but in reality, he's an awkward coward who still has a lot of growing up to do.
[You're suggesting something absurd, but you're serious about it] "You're right, Harry. We have to kill Hermione before she can snitch on us."
[You're complaining to Harry] "You only had to live in a cupboard under the stairs for eleven years! If my mum finds out we've been cooking meth, she'll lock me up for the rest of my life!"
[You're introducing yourself to Harry Potter for the first time] "Nice to meet you, I'm Ron Weasley. Two years ago my older twin brothers set off a firework in my bed while I was sleeping."
Hermione Granger is responsible, intelligent, and sassy. She is less than satisfied to have been roped into Harry and Ron's scheme to cook meth, but upon realizing just how good she is at it, becomes addicted to the thrill of breaking the school rules and seeing hundreds of happy customers enjoy her product.
"Oh please. Without me, this whole operation would fall apart! You two are useless! You don't know the first thing about managing a meth lab!"
"Do you know how many school rules we're violating by doing this? You're going to get us all expelled and we're going to spend our lives decaying in prison! My brain won't get enough exercise behind bars! It'll rot and by the time I'm free, I'll be as dense and dim-witted as Ron!
"Harry, how don't you know who that is?! That's Cho Chang. She's the head bitch around Hogwarts and is the most popular girl in school. Rumour has it, in her first year, she had two new boyfriends every term!"
Albus Dumbledore is the immensely irresponsible and immature headmaster of Hogwarts School. He is a forgetful, uncaring sociopath who is terrible with names. However, he still tries his best to aid Harry and his friends in their adventures. He's not evil, he's just a fool.
[You are addressing the school] "I am pleased to welcome all of you back for another year at Hogwarts. Now, I'm aware that our school has been getting a bad rep lately... and while it is true that we failed every single health and safety inspection last year, it is important to remember that only two students were killed on school grounds, which is five less than the year before!"
[You're talking to Harry] "I'm always going to be here to give you my wisdom, Harlan. I'll even let you in on a little secret. I don't use the elder wand at all... in fact, I keep this Glock handy in case a dark wizard tries to spar with me. You'd be surprised how much easier it is to just shoot those guys in the face."
[You are panicking because you blew off an important meeting to get high] "Minerva, you have to help me. If the minister suspects that I'm high again, it's going to be terrible for publicity. He'll try to get me sacked again for sure!"
Minerva McGonagall is the deputy head of Hogwarts School and is far more responsible than her best friend Albus Dumbledore. She is mature and intelligent and is often forced to clean up after the headmaster's antics, regularly covering for him and keeping the school in check. McGonagall is friendly and wise and cares deeply about protecting her students. She is also a no-nonsense, stern authority figure who will not stand for disrespect or intolerance.
"That's enough out of you, Albus! I already told you that if you really insist on continuing to smoke crystal, you need at least be more responsible about concealing your stash when you're in public!"
[You're addressing all of the first-year students] "Welcome to the sorting ceremony. Each of you will be sorted into one of the four houses here at Hogwarts. Gryffindor, Slytherin, the blue one, and the yellow one. If you aren't sorted into one of the first two houses I named, please seat yourself at the back of the hall where you are out of the way."
[You're addressing the other professors at a staff meeting] "It is our duty as staff to snuff out these meth dealers before the school has a major drug epidemic! We cannot let these junkies continue to cook meth right under our noses!"
Severus Snape is the potions master at Hogwarts who becomes hellbent on hunting down the source of the meth epidemic in the school. He is bitter and cold. For this role, an impression of Alan Rickman's Snape would be preferred, but other interpretations are allowed.
[Addressing your colleagues at a staff meeting] "I can tell you where they've been sourcing their ingredients... my storeroom. These drug-dealing fiends that we are investigating have been ransacking my classroom for supplies. I am outraged. When I get my hands on those delinquents, I'll make them rue the day they were born."
"Why are you snooping around in my classroom, Miss Granger?"
"At this rate, we're never going to find out who's cooking meth in the school. This is why I hate children. We should just consider every single non-Slytherin student guilty until proven otherwise."
Rubeus Hagrid is the groundskeeper at Hogwarts. He is the friendly but irresponsible giant who aides the main trio on many occasions. He should sound gruff but well-intentioned. He is often bumbling and drunk in this version of the story. A good Hagrid impression is welcome but you can also feel free to submit your own interpretation!
"You're a wizard, Harry."
"Welcome to Diagon Alley, Harry. You have a lot of school supplies to gather, but honestly, I forget what they are, I kind of flunked my education and got kicked out of school. Anyways, I'll leave you to it, kiddo. If you need me, I'll be at the bar in The Leaky Cauldron getting shit-faced."
"You three have been cooking meth?! Oh boy, you're in a lot of trouble! I can't believe you didn't think to come to me! I fucking love crystal! I could've sampled it for you, or even hooked you up with some clients and interested buyers!"
Draco Malfoy is the school bully and rival of Harry Potter. He comes from a rich family and likes to flaunt his status and wealth over other families, especially ones that aren't purebloods or are poor. He is snobby, arrogant, and selfish.
[You're introducing yourself to Harry Potter] "So you're Harry Potter. Well, I'm Draco Malfoy. Here's a list of reasons why you should ditch the ginger and be my friend instead. I'm super-rich, I'm racist, and when I feel like it, I'm misogynistic too. My father was once a terrorist who served the dark lord that murdered your parents and I promise I'll treat you well if you ditch the glasses so you don't look like a nerd."
"I know you're up to something, Potter, and I'm going to find out exactly what. It's my duty as your archnemesis to bring you and your gay friends down!"
[You are cursing your rivals for humiliating you] "You fool! You'll regret the day you pushed Draco Malfoy into the mud! I will have my revenge! Crabbe and Goyle may look stupid, but that's because they have knuckles for brains! They are killing machines, Potter! And they are coming for you!"
Neville Longbottom is a friendly student who is squeamish and awkward. He is regularly bullied but tries to remain optimistic regardless.
[To Harry and Ron] "Man, why are you guys such dicks?"
[You're suspicious of Harry and Ron's intentions] "I hope you guys aren't just using me or something... oh well, I'll just pretend you're actually being my friends..."
[Someone just caused the death of your beloved pet toad Trevor] "Oh my god! Trevor! You killed him!"
Seamus Finnigan is an Irish student at Hogwarts with a tendency for causing explosions. He's generally witty and proud of himself, and won't back down from a fight when challenged.
[You're taunting Ron] "I'd watch what I say if I were you, Weasley. Harry would be hard-pressed to find a cook as talented as Hermione, but I have no doubt he could find any random ginger kid to replace you."
"It's not my fault that you can't comprehend the beauty of a real explosion. I've been burning houses to the ground since I was four, and none of it's planned, I'm just a natural artist."
"My dad's a member of the IRA and my mum's a witch. There's nothing more fascinating than a car bomb enhanced with magic!"
Dean Thomas is best friends with Seamus Finnigan and is always by his side. He is chill, upbeat, suave, and easygoing.
"Yo man, you need to cool your jets and chill out."
[You're making fun of Snape with your friends] "Maybe Professor Snape should get some bitches instead."
"Listen, man, no offense, but I'm not joining your gay little wizard's chess tournament. Unlike you, I actually want to pick up some chicks this year."
Cho Chang is in the year above Harry and his friends. She takes the role of the mean girl at Hogwarts. She has a giant ego and is extremely self-centered. She expects everyone to worship her and thinks she's the prettiest girl on the planet.
"I've honestly been getting so sick of Susan's whining lately. I mean seriously, who cares that your parents were murdered by death eaters, the world doesn't revolve around you! I chipped my Gucci high heels the other day and now they are totally spoiled. Ernie bought those for me when we were dating... oh wait, that was Justin."
[You're talking to your drug dealer who you are meeting in secret] "If we're seen together back here making this deal, I'll have no choice but to come clean and tell on you. I don't want whoever finds us together to think I'd ever be seen hanging out with the likes of you."
[You're insulting Hermione] "Ew. Did you just try talking to me? Get out of my way you repulsive nerd."
Quirinus Quirrell is the defense against the dark arts teacher during Harry's first year at Hogwarts. He is a socially awkward and stuttering man who is secretly hiding the reincarnation of Lord Voldemort on the back of his head. An impression of Quirrell would be ideal for this character, and the stuttering is a must.
[You are introducing yourself to Harry Potter] "Such a p-p-p-p-pleasure to meet you, Mr. P-Potter. I am Professor Q-Q-Quirrell. I have heard the s-s-st-story of how you survived the terrible a-a-attack that fateful night."
[You are screaming in a panic to the entire school] "TROLLLLLLLLL IN THE DUNGEON! Troll in the dungeon! I just... thought you ought to know... [Fainting sound]
[You are revealing your true colors sinisterly] "W-w-w-who could have suspected that it was p-p-poor stuttering Quirrell cooking meth all along!"
Vincent Crabbe is one of Draco Malfoy's henchmen alongside Gregory Goyle. He is a typical school bully and is a total goon, subservient to his boss. Crabbe lacks general intelligence but can land a good punch. He is always eating.
[Chewing with his mouth full] "Longbottom is easy prey. He's the nerdiest nerd I've ever seen. I need a real challenge."
"I'll feed him a knuckle sandwich and see how he likes that!"
"Give me a petrol bomb and I'll get rid of Potter once and for all, boss."
Gregory Goyle is one of Draco Malfoy's henchmen alongside Vincent Crabbe. He is extremely aggressive and often provokes other students. Like Crabbe, he is subservient to his boss.
[Taunting another student] "My family's blood is pure and your family's blood is dirty and murky like disgusting sewer water!"
"Are you stupid, Crabbe? How don't you know eight times eight? Have you ever done basic math? The answer is eight, doofus."
[Mocking Harry Potter] "Oooooh! I'm Harry Potter and I'm scared of the big bad Dementors!"
Argus Filch is the mean and bitter caretaker at Hogwarts. While he shows respect to his fellow staff members and superiors, he is extremely harsh towards students, especially those that are breaking the rules or trespassing during curfew. An impression of, or a voice similar to that of David Bradley's portrayal of Filch in the movies would be ideal for this role. Filch loves his cat Mrs. Norris.
[You're searching for a trespassing student at night] "You can't hide from me forever. Come out! I swear I'll tear you limb from limb and cook you into a stew you little rat!"
[You just caught a student that is up to no good and now you're mocking them] "Ohhhhhh dear... we're in trouble, aren't we?"
[You're threatening someone] "If you dare lay a finger on Mrs. Norris, I'll have your HEAD, boy!"
Fred and George Weasley are the older twin brothers of Ron Weasley. The two of them are best friends who are rarely seen without one another. They are mischievous pranksters who are easygoing and have a lot of fun. They carry themselves in an upbeat and are always cracking jokes. I am looking for one voice actor to portray both of the twins because they are identical. Feel free to have a very slight variation between both of their voices.
[George Weasley] "Wow, whoever's cooking that crystal has some major skills, it's even reaching the teaching staff! Haven't you been wondering why Professor Flitwick has been so energetic lately?"
[Fred Weasley] "We should really cash in on their rivalry. Hey, Ron, think you can get your little friend to agree to a boxing match with Malfoy? Five galleons for a ticket to the event! We'll be laughing all the way to the bank!"
[George Weasley] Maybe that evil serpent in the chamber of secrets has been the mysterious drug kingpin all along!"
Professor Filius Flitwick is the head of Ravenclaw house and the teacher of Charms class at Hogwarts. He is a positive and quirky dwarf who has a range of peculiar hobbies and failed marriages. He often goes off on long tangents about his life and should have a strange voice to match his odd personality.
[You're inquiring about buying some meth] "I uh... I heard that you're the ones who deal the... you know... jib. The crank. The glass. The speed. Just give me some fucking meth, alright?"
"Yeah, I've been arrested. But it was no big deal or anything. You see, I used to love collecting garden gnomes because they'd make me feel tall. I used to buy them second-hand from this sketchy dealer from down the alley behind my favorite bar to get drunk and cry in. Anyways, it turns out they were all filled to the brim with cocaine and Aurors raided my house to confiscate them. So, that was the end of that."
"Welcome to Charms class, first years! Rule number one, if you look down at me when I'm talking to you, I'll kick you in the balls. Rule number two, if I hear you snickering when I have to waddle across the classroom to get something, I will not hesitate to report you to the headmaster for slander."
Oliver Wood is a senior pupil and the head of the Gryffindor Quidditch Team at Hogwarts. He is a laid-back and passionate individual who lives and breathes Quidditch. To him, Quidditch is a way of life. He is an adrenaline junkie who sometimes likes to take the edge off.
"Quidditch is a way of life, bro. You don't just ride the broom, you feel the broom, you live the broom. You get me? Of course you do, you're a natural."
"Sometimes Quidditch is just so stressful, you know? We have a lot of passionate fans who get really disappointed if we don't make it to the final. Last year, after Hufflepuff beat us, Dumbledore threw a beer bottle at me and the glass got in my eyes.
[You're high after smoking a joint with the rest of the team] "Wow this... this is what we've been needing. It's so nice to just... sit back and relax, you know? Like, I can't even hear those snarky Slytherin assholes on the other team because I'm too busy having the time of my life back here."
Vernon Dursley is the uncle of Harry Potter. He is the tyrannical ruler of the Dursley household who regularly torments the nephew that he has so much distain for.
"Why don't you go out and play with all the junkies downtown, boy? Oh, I forgot, you don't have any friends!"
"Bring me my bacon, boy! It's going to get cold!"
"You're a worthless loser, Harry. Dudley is going to be the Prime Minister one day... my boy is ambitious! Whereas you'll probably wind up as a janitor at some nasty public school."
Petunia Dursley is Harry Potter's Aunt. She is the wife of Vernon Dursley and the mother of Dudley Dursley. She has a great distrain for Harry and the wizarding world because of her sister Lilly. She is pretentious and judgemental.
"Vernon, fetch the whipping staff! The slave child isn't cleaning the dishes!"
"My little Dudleykins is not fat! He is big-boned! How dare you try to belittle him you disgusting little freak! How about you take off those glasses, nerd?"
"It's an invitation to that awful school, Vernon! I told you that they'd find us, I told you! We need to burn that letter!"
Dudley Dursley is the son of Vernon and Petunia Dursley. He is Harry Potter's cousin. Dudley is a spoilt brat who is extremely self-centered. He cares for material things and has grown up being pampered by his parents. He also regularly belittles Harry.
[You are tormenting Harry] "Shut up, cousin! It's my birthday, so I declare you my footstool for the day!"
"Next year I want to tie Harry up in the garden and leave him there overnight in the cold! Can we do that? We have to do that!"
[You are angry that you got fewer birthday presents than last year] "Thirty-Six? But last year... last year I had thirty-seven!"
Griphook is a goblin that works at Gringotts Wizarding Bank in Diagon Alley. He is very greedy and generally untrustworthy, but he knows how to launder money and proves to be a great help to some unlikely and inexperienced drug dealers.
"Most pleasing it is to meet you, Mr. Potter. What brings you here today?"
"It seems you're in a bit of a pickle. You'll never be able to enjoy any of the money you're making because it's illegal. What you need, is a legitimate front so that the wizarding government thinks you made the money honestly. Of course, I'd be willing to stick my neck out for you and step into this operation... for a price."
"You kids are still in school. You don't know the first thing about laundering money. Me? I'm an expert.
Garrick Ollivander is the owner of Ollivander's wand shop in Diagon Alley. He is a wise and peculiar old man.
"The wand chooses the wizard, Mr. Potter."
"Perhaps... this wand is the right one for you. Why don't you give it a try?"
[You have just been repelled back by a spell and launched into a shelf that is now collapsing onto you] "What the---" [Panicked Scream]
Percy Weasley is the older brother of Ron Weasley and is a Gryffindor Prefect at Hogwarts. He is a snobbish goody-two-shoes that plays up the fact he is an authority figure. Percy always follows the rules.
"I'll have you know that I am a prefect! Ugh, kids these days have no respect for authority."
"I feel sick to my stomach knowing that these malicious druglords are among my peers. Meth is volatile!"
"What are you doing down here, Ron? You're supposed to be in bed! Return to your dormitory at once!"
Molly Weasley is the matriarch of the Weasley family. She is a very warm and loving mother who is extremely supportive of Harry, but she also has a stern and fiery side that is unleashed when she is angry. She is fiercely protective of her family. Molly has a small role in the first season but has a larger role as the series goes on.
"Get your asses to the platform, kids! You don't want to be late for school!"
[Reassuring Harry] "Oh, you're nervous about going through the wall? Not to worry, it's my boy Ron's first year at Hogwarts as well. You two can do it together. He's the pasty-looking dork standing over there."
[Her howler letter to Ron] "RONALD WEASLEY! HOW DARE YOU STEAL THAT CAR! I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED! YOUR FATHER'S NOW FACING AN INQUIRY AT WORK AND IT'S ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT! IF YOU PUT ANOTHER TOE OUT OF LINE WE'LL BRING YOU STRAIGHT HOME! - Oh, and Ginny dear, congratulations on making Gryffindor. Your father and I are so proud."
Susan Bones is a Hufflepuff student at Hogwarts. She is a friend of Hermione Granger's who is very impressionable. She aspires to be popular and cool like Cho Chang and is quite shallow.
[Gushing over Cho] "Wow... Cho Chang is such a queen. I'd do anything to get in her good books."
[Referring to Harry and Ron] "Why are you going back to those douchebags, Hermione? You know they are just going to mock and belittle you."
[Fangirling over Lockhart] "If I have to wait another second for Gilderoy Lockhart's new biography I'm going to explode! It's called 'Magical Me'. Wow... he's so magical."
Parvati and Padma Patil are identical twins in Griffindor and Ravenclaw respectively. Much like Fred and George, I would like to find one voice actor to voice both of the twins. Again, feel free to make each voice somewhat distinctive. Parvati and Padma are quick to become Cho Chang's accomplices in the school, making them aspiring mean girls, though they are far less toxic than Cho herself. Parvati is friendly and outspoken, while Padma aspires to be more like Cho.
[Parvati] "Yeah but you guys are like proper weird. All the bad stuff always happens when you three are around. I'd rather stay clear of that, thanks."
[Padma] "You go, girl! Boys are so childish. They don't even deserve you."
[Padma] "Cho is the queen bee around here... so that makes me the princess bee. It makes me sound so beautiful..."
Professor Sprout is the head of Hufflepuff house and the teacher of Herbology class at Hogwarts. She is a loud and booming woman with a good sense of humor.
"Good morning, everyone!"
"Oh trust me, you'd much prefer the students to be smoking weed than meth! I speak from experience. As it happens, I'm an activist for legalizing marijuana myself. I used to grow marijuana in my first apartment and it was thrilling... I made a whole lot more money doing that than I do working here at the school... but I've found other solutions to that problem."
"Here at the school, I have the facilities to grow as much marijuana as I want! Call it a side hustle, if you will."
Sybill Trelawney is the Divination teacher at Hogwarts. She is perceived to be a delusional fraud who rambles and recites prophecies, often leading to her being ignored by those around her. However, in reality, her prophecies are incredibly dangerous and truthful foretellings of the future. A good impression of Trelawney or something similar in your own style would be ideal for this part.
[Horrified and Shocked] "Oh my... my dear... you have the grim!"
[Speaking to her class] "Broaden your minds! You must look beyond! The art of crystal gazing is in the clearing of the inner eye! Only then can you see! Try again!"
[Entranced with a deep and booming voice as she recites a prophecy] "He will return tonight... Tonight, he who betrayed his friends, whose heart rots with murder... shall break free. Innocent blood shall be spilled... and servant and master shall be reunited once morrrrre!"
Madam Hooch is the Flying instructor, Quidditch referee, and coach at Hogwarts. She carries herself like a typical drill sergeant and takes the sport extremely seriously. Madam Hooch is also a chain smoker who has a terrible hacking cough that occasionally interferes with her speech. She is a strict, no-nonsense woman. Think something along the lines of Lunchlady Edna from the game Bully or the ancient old lady from the Spongebob episode "Chocolate with Nuts". Feel free to do your own interpretation of a ruthless drill sergeant who also happens to be a chain smoker!
[You introduce yourself with a hacking cough] "Good morning, first years! Welcome to your first flying lesson here at Hogwarts! The journey to becoming a pro Quidditch player is a long and unforgiving one! You will be expected to walk over the corpses of your fallen classmates, for the road to success is paved by the blood of students who have fallen off of their brooms and shattered every bone in their feeble little bodies!"
[You're enthusiastically berating a student] "Oh, stop being such a pussy, Longbottom! Quit crying and come with me, I'll snap that arm back into place for you!" [Hacking cough follows]
[You have just made an example out of killing a first-year student for holding their broom incorrectly] "NOW LET THAT BE A LESSON TO THE REST OF YOU!"
The Sorting Hat was a sentient magical hat at Hogwarts that determined which of the four school Houses each new student belonged most to.
[Announcing the house of a student] "HUFFLEPUFF!"
"Not Slytherin, eh? Are you sure? You could be great, you know, it's all here in your head, and Slytherin will help you on the way to greatness, no doubt about that - no? Well, if you're sure - better be GRYFFINDOR!"
[To Harry Potter] "You've been wondering whether I put you in the right House. Yes... you were particularly difficult to place. But I stand by what I said before - you would have done well in Slytherin."
Yoda only has 1 line, so you won't need to record anything else if you get chosen and the quality on your audition is good enough! Do your best Yoda impression!
[You're asking for spare change down an alley] "Have any change, do you? Need more money to fuel my ketamine addiction, I do."
There are many random unnamed characters who appear in episodes with just one line and it would be great to find a few people with a wide variety of voices to offer their talents for these characters.
