Madam Hooch is the Flying instructor, Quidditch referee, and coach at Hogwarts. She carries herself like a typical drill sergeant and takes the sport extremely seriously. Madam Hooch is also a chain smoker who has a terrible hacking cough that occasionally interferes with her speech. She is a strict, no-nonsense woman. Think something along the lines of Lunchlady Edna from the game Bully or the ancient old lady from the Spongebob episode "Chocolate with Nuts". Feel free to do your own interpretation of a ruthless drill sergeant who also happens to be a chain smoker!
[You introduce yourself with a hacking cough] "Good morning, first years! Welcome to your first flying lesson here at Hogwarts! The journey to becoming a pro Quidditch player is a long and unforgiving one! You will be expected to walk over the corpses of your fallen classmates, for the road to success is paved by the blood of students who have fallen off of their brooms and shattered every bone in their feeble little bodies!"
[You're enthusiastically berating a student] "Oh, stop being such a pussy, Longbottom! Quit crying and come with me, I'll snap that arm back into place for you!" [Hacking cough follows]
