This is a 3D Minecraft animated series that's story revolves around a prophecy that controls the universe our characters are in. Now if I were to go into the specifics of what happens in this series this description would be an essay. So let me just keep this exclusively to the first episode. Our main characters, Shaye, Pete, Martin, and Jay are living a life of survival of the fittest. Since they don't have any money to live in a society they have resorted to stealing from clans to get what they need. Our lead protagonist, Shaye, is sick of the life that he is forced to live; he has started to lose hope that they will ever be able to live anywhere besides their small house. He meets this slightly old man named George who offers him the chance to be a part of the cause, that cause being fulfilling the prophecy. At the end of the episode, Shaye is now tied into the desition of taking this offer or continuing the life he has... Note: Lead characters, just a reminder that since this is the start of the series, and you're leading characters, you're going to be staying with me for a long time.
Even though there are multiple leads, Shaye is the main lead. Shaye's cannon age is 20, Jay's brother, he is a charming character, who has confidence in his actions, yet self doubt on what his future has in store for him. I'm looking for a rather middle toned voice, very genuine. This character also stays the main character for two seasons in a row.
[Randomly] -Do you have like a beard, for some reason I picture you with a beard, I don’t know it just sounds like it fits you.
[almost in amazement] Have we really been doing this for as long as I think we have?
[Confused shock] The who-and-the-what now?! If this power is what determines the fate of everything, then how come I’ve never heard it up until this moment?
Jay is Shaye's brother, and their names rhyme, which wasn't done intentionally. Jay is younger than Shaye, being 19. He is envious of his brother but they are very similar, he is easily annoyed.
[Reassuringly] Well it shouldn’t be too much longer until we get enough riches to buy ourselves a house in Burrowton and live a normal life.
[Sudden anger] A bit?! You were gone for 2 hours!
Like what prophecy, are we talking the prophecy like w-what is that?
Pete is a lead character that doesn't serve much importance in episode 1 but he will get his time to shine later. He is rather mysterious in the things he possesses, while he seems shallow on the outside he has a lot of things that most characters would consider contraband of the time period.
[With complete confidence] Honestly, you guys suck.
[Slightly shouting as some people are still in their rooms] Alright, so these are our rations for today. Eat up!
[As a sort of tangent] That’s another thing; how do we know they’re just gonna let us live there. And another thing, how has none of the powers just kicked us out of this forest, this is a part of Lakepost.
Martin is as side a lead character can get, he serves almost no importance in the first episode but I plan on giving him some use later. I don't really have any direct comments on his character since he doesn't have many lines. So really the lines are your only guide here, do what you think is best.
[Suddenly offended] Me!? Us!? We’re trying to survive by using the most dangerous method possible, all you do is sit and let the riches flow. If anything you should be giving us respect
[blatantly] Well you know how it is, we can’t just go and live a normal life, considering all we’ve done in the past, and how little we still have-
George is a rather older-aged character who gives Shaye the initial offer of attempting to complete the prophecy. He sets the ball rolling for the plot of the rest of the series, he also serves as a guide to many characters throughout the series. The reason I'm leaving the age section blank here is that I don't really care what the age of the voice actor is, as long as you can do the character I just described, I'm fine.
Indeed, I was just going out for a walk and I noticed there was someone here in the forest, which was pretty unusual so I went to go check it out.
[Sort of as if it’s obvious] Trust me, it’s pretty easy to figure it out. You were looking at my house from afar and you had a weird tone when first talking to me. Then you got used to it.
This is a voice that I need for the opening exposition, the narrator only has one line but it's also the longest one. The lines you'll be doing for the audition are excerpts from the full line. I'm looking for an epic sounding voice for this narration.
Long ago an ancient society gained the ability to know the meaning of life and to go beyond knowledge of average comprehension. This society was remarkably able to completely hide their identity and to this day no one knows their name.
The battle for the knowledge that wields all continued. 6 puzzle pieces were taken by certain clans who then hid their entire societies in efforts to protect their new prized possession.
Society has entered a dark phase, where the existing tribes are frightened to leave their areas out of fear the clans with the 5 remaining items or the glitches may still be out there.
The leader of the clan that is against Shaye, as you can imagine he shows the most aggression towards our main characters and is considered the antagonist of the episode.
Ah, there you guys are, I’ve been trying to get you closer to me for the last minute! [as he says minute he pulls up his crossbow to shoot]
Brian is a member of a clan that is after Shaye in this episode. His general attitude is hatred towards our 4 lead characters.
[irritated sarcasm] Oh really, because we go through the same thing every day: You come into our lair, try to steal our emeralds and other Jewels and then just leave acting as if nothing happened.
[Furious at this point] C’mon guys, wha- are you serious! You seriously can’t see through him?!
John is another member of the clan that is against Shaye and his group, he acts in similar ways to Brian; he has a fighting spirit against Shaye.
[looks back at the other clansmen, still irritated] Don’t comply with him, we have to make sure we keep our goal in mind! [faces back to Shaye] To take what you stole!
