Project Overview

Hi everyone! My name is Kiana, I'm the creator of the podcast Last Call at Bluebell Cafe, and we are looking for the cast for our third episode! The podcast is being produced under the Goose Thunder network. It centers on an enigmatic Barista who uses their supernatural powers to meddle in the lives of their human customers. This episode follows the Barista's meddles in an argument between a pair of siblings.

Casting will be done by late April, and lines should be submitted by mid-May. Because this is an episodic show, there will be a new cast every episode; if you audition for this and aren't cast, keep an eye out for future calls! Also, I may offer you a role in a future episode; if you accept you will have a different deadline, to be determined based on which episode you're cast in.

We're not looking for super high quality sound, as long as you have a decent mic (not a laptop or phone mic) you should be fine! Please clean up the audio before you submit it, there should be little to no static and the sound should be clear.

Alex is a college graduate who's working hard to help provide a stable future for their younger sibling, Kai. Unfortunately Kai's not very grateful for it.

  • Great, so I’ll tell Sam Richards that you haven’t had a crush on them since they let you borrow their pencil in math class three weeks ago, since, you know, you don’t have feelings.

  • So you have nothing to say to me? You used to tell me everything, what changed?

  • I want you to take me to the mall and buy me something expensive. Let’s go.

Alex as a teenager is pretty carefree, but has to grow up quickly when their mother dies. Alex struggles with their own individualism and their sense of responsibility to Kai.

  • You think you have it bad? I’m a teenager. Holy crap! Does my degree still count? Did I even go to college?

  • (softly) This is how old we were when…

  • It doesn’t matter! We’re four years in the past but we’re still having the same argument. If resolving this gets us back to the right time then that’s what we’re going to do.
