"Last Call at Bluebell Cafe" Season 2
Project Overview
“Last Call at Bluebell Cafe” is a fantasy audio drama produced under the Goose Thunder Network, and we’re making a second season! Which of course means that we’ll be needing a full cast to bring our characters to life. We are also still looking for sound editors to join our crew!

Description: Jules is the main character. They are optimistic and lighthearted, but deep down they are very lonely.
**NOTE: This character was present in Season 1 but needs to be recast. We are hoping to find a similar voice. Please listen to S1 EP8: Barista to hear how the previous VA portrayed the role.
“Cleaned up? (realization dawns) I thought that was a dream. (realization turns to anger) What did you do to me?!”
“It sounds like you’re saying you don’t think I’m a great barista?”
“It felt like a dream. All those people I talked to, and helped… To be honest, their faces mostly blur together. I had a friend for a day, and then I went on with my existence. Plus, they were all mortals. I never really told them what I was. Who I am. But now… I have a goal. I have someone to talk to that I don’t have to lie to. It’s nice.”

Description: Irida is a pretty happy-go-lucky person. She’s a half-human hybrid with a lot of love in her heart.
“Yeah, my mom went to the mortal world for a late dinner one night but ended up falling in love with her meal. Who would’ve thought?”

“I don’t know, it just seemed like he was so suspicious of me! Like I was going to rob the place or something. No offense, but if I did plan to rob a place, I’d pick a jewelry store or something, not a cafe.”

Description: Anya is a no-nonsense reporter who seems to know everything about everyone, yet has some secrets of her own. She is powerful and she knows it.
“Thank you so much! I’m sorry to be so pushy, I just have a huge article to write, barely any of it done, and it’s due tonight!”
“He’s hiding something. I’m not sure what. I have my suspicions, but best for you to come to your own conclusions.”
“That will have to wait for another time.”

Description: The six Old Ones are the ruling class of the Magic World. The first of their respective races, they are anti-mortal and anti-hybrid.

“Do not ever presume to distrust us again. We have no need for doubtful servants.”
“And remember: we are your true family, not them.”

(sarcastically) “That joke’s funny every time you make it, Maribel.”
“I imagine some people might be put off by the name’s association with an alleged assassin.”

Description: Maribel is a customer of the cafe. She is the troublemaker of her group.
(mockingly) “Are you sure? I’m sure this place has hay or grass for you.”
(jokingly ominous) “Unless they’re not just a random barista.”

Description: June is a customer of the cafe. She’s a bit of a pushover, and she knows it.
(attempting to laugh it off) “It’s okay Cordelia, I’m used to it.”
“Sorry! I wasn’t eavesdropping. I just heard the last part of what you said, and I’ve felt that way a lot. Like there was nothing I could do. But there’s always something, even if it takes a little longer to find it.”

Description: Hiring manager of Glitter Storms Inc. Interviews Irida for a job.
“We’re looking specifically for candidates who can fly. It really cuts down on the company’s costs since we pay for travel time.”

Description: A magical official who facilitates the trial. Not a very nice person. Think Chi-Fu from Mulan.

Description: Malcolm is the former gardener of Queen Titania. He is a nervous but honest person.
“Well, I got to work in the morning, just after sunrise. I take care of the plants in the palace. I sang to the flowers in the garden; nothing was amiss there. In the courtyard, there’s a maze. I was working on rearranging the hedges when I noticed something on the ground.”

Description: A detective who testifies in the trial for Titania’s assassination.
“As Malcolm said, the body was in the courtyard. When I arrived, it was lying face-up since he had rolled it over, but it seemed to have been face down for a while before that. I would place the time of death as the previous night.”

Description: Renata is a former friend of Queen Titania. She has ulterior motives for her actions.

“I was a close friend of Titania for millennia. We were children together. I attended all of her weddings, even the one that took place in the mortal world.”
