Message from the director:
Hi! I’m Fandango Fury, a performer, director, writer, artist and Dungeon Master. Lappelpinny has been stewing in my brain for the last two or three years, and I’m finally trying to put it in motion, but I need your help!
This is my first time directing a large-scale project like this, and I’m looking for a strong central team of writers, directors, artists, and voice actors to help me make this dream come true.

For all applicants (important):
Please include a Discord account for me to reach out to! After reviewing your materials I may contact you for a quick 10-minute interview!
For production-role applicants:This project will be very demanding, and in kind, any amount of help contributed is extremely appreciated and will be thusly accredited. Anyone applicable for the project will be chosen for the roles, the numbers listed on the post are very loose! For materials required for each role, please look at the specific posting. If you have multiple skills you are willing to share, that is extremely welcome!
You are welcome to back out at any time, as I never want to push anyone past the point where they no longer enjoy the process, and there will be no judgement from me if you would want to come back at a later time, or not! I do, however, expect communication prior to backing out.
For voice actors:This process will be quite selective. Please do takes in an AABBCC or AAABBBCCC order, and make different choices on each take. That being said, have fun with it! Auditioning for multiple characters is encouraged, or you can indicate in the submission description if you are interested in other roles/types of roles.
Main: A main character. Will be featured in most, if not all, episodes.
Secondary: A significant character. Will be featured in many episodes, or in a specific story arc.
Tertiary: A minor character. Will be recurring minor characters in some episodes, or will get episodes specifically dedicated to them.
Background: A background character. May appear in the background again but unlikely to have their own arcs or episodes.
*Characters with an arrow (->) will start as one case for the pilot and develop into a different one in the future. (ie. Ellie (Background -> Secondary) is a background character in the pilot, but may have a story arc dedicated to her)
Project description:This project is suitable for those over the age of 13.
The planet of Gliese is not unlike our own. It has oceans and continents, and most importantly - life. Lifeforms far more advanced than we could have imagined. Lifeforms with their own languages, cultures, societies, technology, religion and… magic?
Lappelpinny is a sci-fi fantasy animation that follows the adventures of the vigilante delivery workers of the Lappelpinny Post discovering the secrets of their world. In addition to the persisting struggles of everyday life, they encounter many enemies: gods, monsters, the law. Each member of the cast is looking for something different. Linden, for closure. Schrew, for accomplishment. Daly, for purpose. Ratsy, for safety.
Pilot logline:
An ambitious inventor falls to his lowest point when he’s evicted from his apartment and goes on a journey of self acceptance when he feels his identity is at stake.
