Lacuna | YouTube Animation Series | Voice Actors Wanted

Project Overview

Lacuna is a more joke animation than a real animation. It's made of stick figures in flash, and I was looking for some people who'd be willing to voice act in these mini animation projects. This is for fun, so have fun w/ it! be lighthearted, be energetic, just go all out and have fun! :)

I'm looking for people who'd be willing to stick with a sort of long period animation, because this will be going on for a series of many short episodes. So if you're willing to suffice your time into this, than that'd be really nice of you! TT_TT

  • Extended Deadline

    Extended to two weeks after next week. :) Due to some animations holding me back(mostly small projects, couple of seconds but they take a couple days to finish) I'm unable to work on it till after next week. Sorry about that! Hope you all are still up for it! ^^;

  • More Information!

    Alright, so I'm glad that people are actually deciding to voice act for this! We might be able to start sooner than I anticipated (if we get a female voice actor). I think it'd be best if you guys did have a Google+ for Google Hangouts though, or a way you can email me your voice lines. I've listened to all of them, and they are all great, so thank you so much for participating! I also felt the need to add in my YouTube. I'll probably add an informational video on what Lacuna is about. For you guys though, Lacuna is about six kids from Jen Eric High School. Bobby is just your generic protagonist; smart, excitable, and easygoing. All of a sudden, while outside, Bobby suddenly discovers something from the sky is coming down right at him. He looks and finds out it was a robot which gives him super powers used to defend his world and many others. Little did he know some other people in the area also got powers to, and they have to work as a team to save the world from this super bad guy named Moros. Bobby Brown is the lead, your generic, soft spoken, main protagonist. He's kind of a pushover, light hearted, and the main character of the series.


Do whatever voice you please for him, but make sure it's a sort of "high" voice, and not something deep. Should be fun and inviting!

  • I-I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to at all! I-It was an accident, I swear!(slightly scared)

Kyle was supposed to be the main character, but in this odd universe he ended up being another lead, but not the main focus. He's your boy next door, lovable dork who just tends to hang out with the wrong crowd.


Kyle can have any voice you want, so just go for it! :)

Joe is your bad guy/bully tuned friend. He is a mean dude, and a bully to Bobby and his friends. He enjoys hassling the younger classmates, and can be found by your nearest dumpster, accompanied by his friend who helps him throw students into said dumpster.


Joe has your anime boy voice, the obnoxious voice, and he's the one who talks to most out of everybody, except for the two leads.

  • *Scoff* What were you expecting, a million dollars?

  • I'm Joe Jones, and nobody disrespects me! Nobody!

  • Huh, the nerd got what was coming to him.

They call him Larry Large cuz of his afro, and his huge ego. He's the cool kid of the streets, and everybody knows it. Especially him.


I'd imagine him having some sort of suave voice. He'd be pretty cool, and nice to listen to. Just do your chillest voice, and he's also the comedian of the cast.

They call him "JJ", and that's all the school really knows about him. He's the cool quiet guy who don't stand for no nonsense. Except when he takes off his helmet, then you know crap's about to go down.


I'd imagine him having an attractive accent, and an attractive voice. He doesn't speak that much, so be prepared for little to no voice lines except for in the future of the animation.

Billy is the forgettable friend who turns out to be very important later on. So you wont have much work until the near very end. Any who, Billy is a nice, generic, next door neighbor, and dependable friend who can be summed up in the one word; "Buddy".


I'd imagine Billy having a friendly voice, I can't really think of one that would be exact for him, so just go for it!
