This project is going to be dedicated to a dubbed version of the ongoing comic " The Glass Scientists " created by Sage Cotugno.
(NOTE: I, the one who created this casting call, am not the producer. But currently she's quite busy so I'm taking over some larger tasks! We've already released the first chapter dub if you'd like to see who you're working with in the case you get casted, you can find it right here: https://youtu.be/kKEM63cST74?si=PT41-q0lVraLoaep)
What is " The Glass Scientists " about?
"The city of London is not the safest place for mad scientists. Thirty years after the death of the infamous Dr. Frankenstein, its citizens have gotten awfully good at killing monsters, destroying laboratories, and generally wrecking anything new or strange-looking. Soon, every scientist within city limits will find themselves behind bars, unless someone can turn their luck around.
That someone is a respected gentleman and socialite—who also happens to be a scientist himself! He believes that mad science (or “rogue science,” as he prefers) could flourish in London if only it could improve its reputation in the public eye, and he plans to give it one hell of an image makeover. With the help of a ragtag group of scientists from across the globe, he plans to end the reign of fear and superstition that has held London captive for decades . . . so long as no one discovers his one little secret, a secret that could ruin him and unravel the lives of everyone he knows.
This man’s name is Dr. Henry Jekyll."
Set amidst a landscape of bubbling potions and misunderstood monsters, The Glass Scientists explores themes of identity and self-acceptance in a world ruled by shame and fear.

Robert Lanyon is Jekyll’s closest friend and co-founder of the Society for Arcane Sciences. Jekyll and Lanyon have been inseparable ever since they met at boarding school. A child of the aristocracy, Lanyon introduced Jekyll to the ways of high society and taught him to become the gentleman he is today. Over the years, Lanyon has cultivated the attitude of a nihilistic dandy to weather the daily trials and tribulations of upper-class life. He believes himself far too clever to care about anyone or anything except himself but seems to have a soft spot for Henry. Despite his attitude, he's a very dramatic person with a flair for theatrics.
(Panicked, dramatic) "OH GOD! It's a burglar! A murderer- a burglar murderer! The proletariat have finally risen up! I knew this day would come-"
(Happy, fond) "Oh! There you are Jekyll. What took you so long?"
(Annoyed, gossiping) "Just look at him, prowling around, trying to sniff out some proof of my incompetence."
Rachel Pidgley is the day manager and cook at the Society for Arcane Sciences. She's a good friend of Jekyll and Robert. But has a rather protective nature towards Edward Hyde, as he reminds her of her late younger brother. She's a scatterbrained and fun-loving girl. Rachel may look as sweet as her famous gingersnap cookies, but her soft exterior hides a hard-as-steel determination forged during her hardscrabble upbringing in London’s East End. While not a scientist herself, she enjoys the company of the eccentric Lodgers and has even managed to befriend Mr. Hyde (she bribed him with chocolate). Highly persistent and loyal to a fault, Rachel would not hesitate to move heaven and earth to help a friend in need even if they never asked for help in the first place. (Her accent is described to be a mix of East London and something distinctly non-English that no one can quite identify, so feel free to experiment!)
(Whiny, desperate) "Ohhh Henry how could you do this to me! You're supposed to be helping my love life, not mucking it up!"
(Defensive) "That 'wolf boy' saved me from a giant bear thing. He can do whatever he wants. Also I gave him free chicken for life."
"So you see, Mr. Hyde doesn't mean any harm! He'll grow out of this little slumming phase soon enough.''
(Fair disclaimer, this character is transgender)
Ito has a straightforward, tough-love attitude and is unafraid to speak her mind. She's very professional and cares for the safety of the other lodgers (especially when it comes to brewing potions). She can come off as overly critical or even cold, but she's simply passionate in her own way. She comes from Japan, where she always wished to wear the flowing silk kimonos she saw the maidens wear. The moment she came of age she packed her suitcase full of her grandmother's kimono and set sail for London. So when it comes to fashion, she acts quite girly.
"So, you must be the new werewolf."
(confident) ''Oh, we can do better than that. I can't sew you a new suit, but you'd be amazed at what a few strategic accesories can add to a look.''
(Giddy, dreamy) ''And- extrapolating from there- we could do eachother's make-up and stay up all night talking about boys...''
Just some extra voices for the lodgers, there's too many to give them seperate roles... Keep in mind that each line below is for a different character.
(Dramatic, overly flashy) ''Alas, I am but a part-time resident. My true home is high up in the ether, among the stars.''
''Ooh! Will you be gracing us with a presentation?''
''We can spare a few bulbs. I didn't know you'd gone back to brewing your potions, Jekyll!''
The same as the male lodgers role, once more, keep in mind that each line is a different character!
''Jekyll! Birdy said you were making wolfs-bane for the new baby. I brought an extra burner!''
''Ooh! He's the phantom of the society! Our very own caped vigilante!''
''And a generous helping of basilisk fang powder!''
