Project Overview

Welcome on the casting call for my first big project - the fandub of an amazing old-school anime Kyou Kara Ore Wa!! (From Today on I am!!). 

What is this anime about?
Two transfer students, Mitsuhashi Takashi and Itou Shinji, tired of their boring normal life and unpopularity decide to take their arrival at a new school as an opportunity to reinvent their image, and become delinquents! Itou's justice clashing with Mitsuhashi's mischievous ways, they initially antagonize one another but soon become friends. The delinquents duo set out on various misadventures to become the greatest delinquents in all Japan! (myanimelist)
 

For now, I would like to do the first episode, but maybe all episodes in the future (10 episodes in total). However, keep in mind that every episode is ca. 45 minutes long. The first episode is 60 minutes long. Also, if you will be casted for a character who appears in other episodes, I will expect from you that you are willing to participate permanently until the end of this project and I'll ask you to provide voices for extra characters too if neccessary.


Main requirements
1) Good quality of mic without background noises
2) Respect the director. 
3) Try to speak clearly - not too slow, not too fast.
4) Have Discord. It'll be a place, where we'll discuss about the project and you'll be getting the lines there too.
5) Be kind and respectful to other voice-actors.
6) Send your lines before the deadline.
7) You must be at least 15 yrs old, there'll be a lot of swearing xD
8) Have fun!

    Hi guys! I would like to thank all of you who auditioned for this project! Also, congratulations to the casted voice actors! I'll extend the deadline so there'll be space for more of you to try auditioning in this casting call. I'm aware that this anime is very underrated so a majority of people probably haven't seen this anime, but it doesn't matter. You can watch the original episode on youtube and if it'll catch your interest, you can try it out here with your audition! He is known to use cheap tricks in order to win against his opponents.  Formerly just a plain freshman guy. He decided to become a delinquent. He's quite extroverted, outgoing, brutally honest, brave and deeply cares about his friends. His voice should sound like a loud, tough teenage guy, who's also a bit of a jokester.

  • What was that, urchin-head? You want me to turn you into sushi?!

Same as Mitsuhashi, Itou also wants to become a delinquent. But in fact, he's more mature and calm. Unlike Mitsuhashi, Itou can be grumpy and prude sometimes. His voice should sound like a tough teen guy, mostly calm but deep tone of voice, almost emotionless sometimes. Mid-low voice.

  • Wh-what's up with this blond douchebag?

  • It's not fine, dammit. You beat up the upperclassmen... They'll definitely want revenge.

Beni High's idiotic Banchou. His basic traits are his enormous physical strength, his lack of intelligence and his bad luck with women, although he appears to be handsome at first glance. He considers Mitsuhashi, who never miss a chance to ridicule him, as his sworn rival and as the story progresses he tries to steer away from him and the misfortunes he always suffers from their encounters. Despite his naive nature and his simple-minded personality, he is a honest and manly person, who in the end earns the respect of the people around him. His voice should be mid-low while being serious but often changes while laughing or being afraid into mid-pitched to high-pitched. 


  • hahahahahahahaheehehe... I'll kill you! (Just carelessly laugh, then get serious)

  • I-Idiot! I don't care if he fights dirty or not! He made me look stupid and that's something I can't let slide! If he fights dirty, I'll just fight dirtier! Anyway, I'm a badass. Nothing scares me! Hehehehehe. (complains to Tanigawa)

Imai's lackey and best friend. He respects Imai wholeheartedly and made a promise to follow Imai his entire life. He tends to get involved in a lot of troubles with Imai, and because of his small size, he's usually the first to get picked on. Despite his lack of strength, he has a lot of spirit, which sometimes intimidates people. His voice should be somewhere in the middle range, not too deep but not too high-pitched either. Just like a typical submissive sidekick boy.

  • Imai! How far down are you going to dig?If you keep going, we'll strike oil!

A former Yankee girl and leader of a girls' gang, but because of her beauty, she's subject to many punks' attempt of hitting on.
She may look delicate, feminine, and naive, but she actually has a tough attitude. She's Itou's girlfriend and loves him very much:in fact, she often worries about him and doesn't want him to get into fights. 

Voice range: Medium.

  • You aren't hurt, are you? Thank you so much! You've rescued us from them. (speaks to Itou, her actual crush)

  • Itou! Sorry, this was all because of me... I'm sorry! (when Itou rescued her from thugs while she was being a hostage and he got beaten up because of that, she runs to him and almost cries)

His sense of justice is as strong as Itou's, and he is a modest person who is willing to help people in need out whenever he can. Despite his initially weak body, he never backed down to any delinquent's threat. He was transferred to Nan high together with Riko, which is why everyone calls him "Ryou-kun" like Riko does. Surprisingly, he can hold his own against Mitsuhashi. His voice should be around middle-range.
