KOTOR ISSUE #1 AUDIO COMIC
Project Overview
Hi everyone!
I've recently started a YouTube channel where I make Star Wars comics into immersive audio comics using voice actors, sound effects and music. You can check out some of the projects above including Darth Vader audio comics, Obi-Wan audio comics, KOTOR audio comics and Dark Empire 1 audio comics. I am planning to do many many more, including more issues of the one aforementioned, Darth Maul, Bounty Hunters, Other Darth Vader comics, Legends and so much more!
This particular project encompasses making Knights of the Old Republic Issue #1 into an immersive audio comic! I am mainly looking for voice actors, but I'll put up positions for editors, animators, music people too if anyone is interested.
Unfortunately these positions are unpaid, I am more looking for fans who want to express their love and voice talent for the franchise, by being apart of it!
INFORMATION FOR AUDITIONS:
- Please do at least 2-3 takes so I can get a better idea of your voice and vocal range (you may do multiple accents too if you'd like)
- USB mic is preferred but not essential
- Try clean out your audio as much as you can from your end so I can hear you the best here!

This is Zayne Carrick. One of the main characters of this comic. He is a young Jedi Padawan who is struggling with completing easy missions, he makes a lot of mistakes and continues trying to catch the same weapons dealer Marn for a large part of this issue. I'd like him to have that youthfulness in his voice but also express that emotion of doubt, sadness and frustration he has with where his abilities are at.
I don't mind any accent, have a look at the photo of the character and give me your best interpretation on what you think he could sound like, I can't wait to hear it!
"Afternoon Gryph! Decided to let myself in and cut down on your overhead. Hope you don't mind!" (He just crashed in on a weapons deal occurring with a weapons dealer he knows and has been trying to catch for a while)
"You want to climb down" (He is trying to use the force to mind control someone)
"Don't ask. Not like I'd have cause to celebrate anyway. But you're sure to be knighted" (normal but disappointed voice, he doesn't think he will become a jedi knight)
Senator Goravvus is an elderly statesman senator who is not of human descent. He should speak in a political manner, uptight and should sound like a fairly old man as you can see in the photo he has all grey hairs.
"The constable's got a plan for the gangs, I tell you" (speaking in normal senator tone, bit egotistical in nature)
"How much were those tax breaks you wanted" (embarrassed voice after being proven wrong)
Lucien Draay is the master of the main character Zayne. His a rough around the edges type man who seems to have been through a lot. He doesn't enjoy the tardiness of his Padawan, and is sort of scary in nature. His definitely a strict teacher but also does have moments where his serious but funny. He should have a deep, rough voice. Have a look at his photo too for more inspiration on what tone and accent to use!
"Zayne Carrick. May I take it that you forgot the banquet we planned - or is this your idea of an entrance?" (Slightly angered, questioning where his padawan has been and why he broke in through the window)
"Please excuse my tardy padawan, all of you...again. Even for one who studies serenity, it's an exciting time" (Pleasantries from a man who doesn't usually give them, asking for forgiveness after his Padawan crashed the banquet through a window. Joyful tone)
"You're late, young one" (he just murdered younglings and Zayne shows up and catches them after the act. This line should be said in a menacing and slightly angered tone)
Shad Jelavan is a promising young Padawan who is a good friend of Zayne's. He makes fun of Zayne but mostly in a joking, friendly manner. He is hopeful that Zayne will still become a Jedi even with his shortcomings. He should sound like confident but full of jokes type character who pokes fun at Zayne in a friendly manner.
"You sure do get the teachers attention, my friend" (Feeling sorry for Zayne as he just got served by his master for showing up through a window)
"What, were you celebrating early? You smell like a cantina" (Joking tone again, smells how bad Zayne smells and wonders where he has been)
"The four of us have decided you whole bumbling acts just a put-on so you can flunk out and stay on Taris where you can still see my sister" (Making fun of Zayne's crush on his sister, joking, smartass tone)
Xamar is a minor character who is a master. He questions Lucien on whether the higher ups have allowed the murder of the padawans for the greater good. HE HAS TENTACLES AROUND HIS MOUTH WHICH IS WHY HE EXTENDS HIS 'S', BE SURE TO DO THAT IN YOUR AUDITION USING WHATEVER AUDIO EDITING OR JUST YOUR VOICE!
"Yesssss... tonight did you contact Corussssscant?" (questioning if Lucien has contacted the council to approve what they will do later on)
"Yessss, but what did sssssshe sssssay?" (questioning again because he is not fully with the decision to murder the padawans)
She is the sister of Shad Jelavan, very small role only has the 1 line.
"Fine Zayne. Ummm...is this bad?"
