about me
hello! my name is kahirah, but you can call me kahi. i'm an 18 yr old girl with a love for music. even more than music, i love to write. i've been doing it since i was four, and i still have so much to learn. you can usually catch me up at 3am writing crappy poetry and strumming the same 5 chords on my ukulele. some of my favorite things in the world are wholesome memes and dogs, and i support pineapple on pizza wholeheartedly. i've been interested in and studying korean language and culture for over 4 or 5 years now, and i'm slowly getting more fluent and more knowledgeable. someday i hope to live in south korea for a year and teach english. for now, i'll be trying to get my poetry on the shelves in the states.
about the duet
i enjoy working with other artists, but most of all, making friends. while we'll be doing the "music business" stuff, i wanna become close pals! i don't plan for us to have a fancy band name or anything just (your name) and kahirah. i'm hoping to cast a male voice, just because i think one might contrast with mine. on the other hand, i do sing kind of low sometimes, so a soprano female would work too. if you think our voices may fit together in anyway, please do audition! HERE's a link to my youtube so you can hear what i generally sound like. we will be posting our covers on youtube and/or any other suggested platforms. we will cover mostly english songs, but i can do stuff in korean if that's what you're into! who knows, maybe we'll write our own songs!
about the music
right away, i know i want to cover some christmas songs for the season. maybe some cool ~indie~ versions of them or something- i'm not sure. HERE are some songs that i have thought of covering that you can use for your audition! (if you don't already have a song in mind). we may also use these for covers in the future! this also gives you an idea of the kind of music i like lol
about your audition
thank you so much for showing an interest in this! rappers are also welcome, but please be willing to do some vocals as well! before auditioning, please be sure that you have a decent mic with little to no background noise, a discord account, and the time and energy to be apart of this. we can do things whenever, so there's no need to stress. just please be sure you can dedicate some time to our duets! i will ask that your audition be a capella (except if you're submitting something to show mixing or editing skills) and that you do something in english. i would also like you to tell me a little about yourself, and i'll put more in the descriptions.
