Kirby's Nightmare | Part 1-2 Character Casting
Project Overview
This casting call is for a dub of a comic called "Kirby's Nightmare". I am the producer for this comic dub and currently am working on to finish the first episode. However, we'll need to prepare ahead of time for the next episode, so that's why this casting call is currently up. Please try the best in your auditions and have decent microphone quality. Although we're more concerned with background noise, so at the very least, don't feel afraid of trying out, just make sure your auditions include just your voice preferably..
Part 2 + Part 3 Summary:Kirby is on a mission to get Meta Knight to be his friend, and on a quest such as this Kirby and Meta Knight have set out to Castle Dedede, where they run into one Bandana Waddle Dee. Both, however, rush to the boss room while befriended Umbrella Waddle Dee claims to have held off Bandana. After reaching said boss room Kirby equips the hammer provided for him and confronts King Dedede. However, before any conflict between eternal rivals could begin, Meta Knight interjects, greatly upset that Dedede had stolen his signature “Get it” Verbal conflict ensues, which leads to Meta Knight and Kirby leaving with the said knight in a huff while Kirby questions if he and Meta Knight will ever get the bond he desires. Later on, Kirby and Meta Knight argue values, and after upsetting Kirby, Meta Knight decides he’s had enough and goes to leave. This, however, only causes Kirby to reveal his true reasoning behind wanting to befriend the knight. Reminded of his past, Meta attempts to comfort Kirby, only to be interrupted by one Marx, who claims that Kirby needs to stop the sun and moon from fighting, explaining that he needs to summon Nova to stop them from doing so. Kirby isn’t keen on the idea, but Meta Knight encourages them to help Marx. Meta Knight, Kirby and Marx all travel to seven separate planets to retrieve the Star Powers, which are required to summon Nova.
Once the pieces had all been retrieved, Kirby, Meta Knight and Marx all summon Nova together. Kirby would go on to wish for the sun and moon to stop fighting, only to be cut off by Meta Knight, who instead wishes to face off against the strongest warrior in the galaxy. It is then that Galacta Knight is summoned, however, upon seeing him Meta would then reveal that Galacta was his mentor, and take notice of his off behaviour. Nonetheless, Galacta and Meta engage in combat, however, Meta Knight’s sword is lost in the chaos. Kirby attempts to get Marx to help him return Meta’s Sword to him, but this attempt is fruitless, as Marx takes his chance to betray Kirby and fight against him. Meta Knight becomes cornered by Galacta, having his wing torn and the blade was gone, he is about to give in to the corrupted warrior’s lance, however, Kirby enters right on time to defend Meta Knight. Galacta assumes Kirby will fight him instead, however, Kirby declines and instead he uses his wish to summon a force to assist Meta. That force taking the shape of a butterfly. Together, Kirby and Meta Knight would unknowingly help the Butterfly take the form of Morpho Knight, who would use his abilities to release Galacta of his corruption and mend Meta Knight’s torn wing. Morpho would then reveal to Kirby some important information regarding Meta Knight, asking Kirby to protect the Knight until he returned. Kirby of course would agree, and Morpho would leave. Kirby would then be left with an unconscious Meta Knight and Galacta Knight to take back to Popstar, where Meta Knight would later wake up. He and Kirby would talk of everything that had happened, with Meta finally giving in and admitting that he and Kirby are friends. And that friends they’d stay.

A brief flashback appearance in part two, then is revealed to be the final boss alongside Marx in part three, fighting against Meta Knight when summoned before ultimately being stopped by a certain Butterfly. Galacta normally never has bad intentions and isn’t actually a villain. He was taken over by a mysterious force while imprisoned in crystals, thus his villainous atmosphere in part three.
“Your strength is admirable, and you’ll be capable of achieving many feats… [Calm] I’m positive your strength will topple even myself one day.” [Content]
“Are you finally going to give up? Or does my lance need to pierce you through and through?” [Menacing]
“You truly are worth nothing. Pathetic. I’ll do you a favor and finish you off for good. I’d ask for your last words but you’re hardly worth any” [Condescending]
A mystery and myth to yet be known, Morpho is summoned through Kirby’s wish to assist Meta in defeating Galacta, however, the knight had his own plans, instead, releasing Galacta from his corruption and revealing important information to Kirby. His appearance is brief, but it leaves one of the larger impacts on everyone involved. He’s very calm, not showing emotion, nor speaking simply, as his dialogue always seems to be quite coded. This is due to being from a time where speech was quite different, tho many have adapted to the modern tongues Mirpho refuses to, preferring his vague way of speaking.
"It seems as though the one from that time was who summoned me… They survived… I am yet to give ‘His’ regards since then… A futile request though.”
“The Noble Kaabii is secure. He is merely hosting my physical form temporarily. Once I depart his form will revert to how it once was.”
“Kirby, the day will come in which I shall return and seek our the Noble Kaabii. As such… If you would, I ask if you will protect him until then.”
Like usual this happy go lucky tricker has yet again planned to trick Kirby and even Meta to help him summon Nova and gain the power he seeks. Wears an obvious innocent mask and gets ticked off quite easily though he doesn’t tend to show that outwardly aside from overdramatic childish complaints.
“The name’s Marx! But that’s not important, we have bigger problems at hand! [Cheerful Nervous] Just look! The sun and the moon are fighting! It’ll be bad news for Popstar if they aren't stopped!” [Cheerful Explanatory]
“Hey, hey, hey! Don’t be like that! It won’t even be that hard to stop them! [Cheerful Complaints] All you gotta do is go to some planets and get their Star Powers. Then you gather 'em all together to summon a Galactic Nova! Wishing on one could give you the strength to stop the sun and the moon from fighting!” [Chaotic Cheerful]
“Hey hey hey, you two are cute and all… But we sort of have a planet to save? So save the cute stuff for after!” [Smug Teasing]
This Galactic Nova makes its well-known appearance in part three once being summoned by Kirby, Meta and Marx. It functions similarly to a robot so a robotic filter could help its voice since it’s lacking much personality and sounding like more of a program carrying our tasks. The Ancient sure came up with some crazy things huh? Not being bad or good necessarily but rather a neutral party. Nonetheless, that doesn’t stop Kirby from destroying him off-screen. You can use some sort of voice changer if you like, but please be sure to include the interpretation with your unedited voice.
“Wish System Loaded--- Awaiting Recipient Input---”
“Recipient Identified--- Searching--- Searching--- Wish Located---”
A brief appearance by Umbrella! Who assists Kirby and Meta in getting through Castle Dedede and “holding off” Bandana from getting in the way of the two’s plans, even if Bandana and Umbrella are good friends. He’s a bit of a people pleaser.
“YES SIR! I’ll do all I can to assist Kirby and yourself on this mission!” [Enthusiastic]
“Yes, that is true. We are friends. [Genuine] But my respect for Kirby goes further than friendship. That is why I will hold you back.” [Anime Protrag Moment xd]
“---well… I’m sorry because I lied. [Slow] I actually have no intention of fighting you. I just wanted to look cool in front of Kirby. [Cheerful, Nervous] So, sorry if I scared you.” [Optimistic]
