Roe Dubs Presents… Kirby’s Epic Yarn: Stitched Together! (A fan dub.)
From the channel that is currently bringing you Super Paper Mario: The Prophecy Foretold and Celeste: Voices of the Mountain comes a new dub of Kirby’s Epic Yarn: Stitched Together!
This is the story of how Kirby saves Dreamland and Patchland from the stringy clutches of the sorcerer, Yin-Yarn. We are only dubbing the spoken cutscenes of the game.
RULES & GUIDELINES:

2. Please do NOT audition if you cannot commit to the whole project.
3. Your discord is REQUIRED in your audition description.
4. Do NOT record more than one take per audition line.
5. NO voice filters.

The narrator of our story. They are a mysterious outside voice giving fantastical exposition throughout every cutscene.
Voice should be low to medium in pitch. The narration should not be like that of a trailer or other forms of voice-over. You are telling a story, and I want it to sound as such. Not too over-the-top, but the fantasy element should be there, and the voice should be enticing.
I would prefer a masculine-voiced narrator, however, all are welcome to audition (I never know what I’ll end up choosing!).

[After each chapter. Moves the story forward.] The yarn weaved its way into the fabric of the kingdom and stitched two pieces of Patch Land together!
[Opening narration for the game’s first cutscene. Telling a story. Expressive and fantastical.] Welcome to Dream Land, a kingdom famous for peace and quiet. It's the perfect little land... if you like that sort of thing. Lately, there have been rumors of a caped sorcerer going around turning people into yarn! That's right... Yarn.
[Narration over the cutscene after Patchland is restored, but before Dreamland is spared.] Meta Knight explained to Kirby that Yin-Yarn was taking over Dream Land. This upset Kirby. He had no idea how to get back to Dream Land!
The prince and ruler of Patchland who is trying to undo Yin-Yarn’s devious curse and restore the magic yarn. He aids Kirby throughout their journey to do so. A very kind, hospitable, and determined young man.
Voice should be medium to medium-high in pitch. He is a younger adult prince. Think along the lines of your typical young male love interest voice (though there is no romance in this story, this is just a good reference for the sound).
It is possible that a female voice could create the younger male sound I am looking for.

[To KIRBY, telling him of what’s happened to his Kingdom, before getting interrupted by an attacking yarn creature.] Ever since Yin-Yarn the Sorcerer ripped Patch Land into seven pieces, you just can't go anywhere without running into these horrible–
[To KIRBY after every boss fight when they acquire the magic yarn that’s needed to fix the kingdom.] We did it! We got the magic yarn!
[To KIRBY after all magic yarn has been acquired and Patchland has been restored.] Thanks, Kirby! I couldn’t have done it without your help!
The wicked sorcerer who tears apart Patchland, curses Dreamland, and seeks to rule them, though his ultimate desires as to what to do with the power are unknown. He curses Kirby as well by turning him into yarn and sending him to Patchland.
Voice should be low to medium in pitch. He can have a slightly more nasally/bright tonality to him (hence his “nyahahah” laugh), but I am open to hearing individual interpretations that make him a fun villain to listen to. Very Saturday morning cartoon antagonist.

[To himself, scheming. It begins with his signature evil laugh.] Nyahahahahaa! Dream Land will be mine! ..Not sure what I'll do with it, but I'll figure something out.
[Trying to introduce himself to KIRBY before KIRBY tries to inhale him, by which he is interrupted.] My name is-- Hey! What are you doing?! Stop that!
[To KING DEDEDE after he is captured by YIN-YARN.] What an honor to have a king serving me!
The king of Dreamland who is later kidnapped and cursed by Yin-Yarn. Prior to this, he is found bossing his Waddle Dees.
Voice should be medium-low to medium-high in pitch. He is snobby and egotistical, until he is in danger, when he is suddenly quite cowardly. While I am open to individual interpretation, a mimic of the Kirby: Right Back At Ya! official English dub’s DeDeDe voice is close to what I would like.

[To YIN-YARN after he captures multiple WADDLE DEES and KING DEDEDE, tying them up.] You can’t be mean to my Waddle Dees! Only I can be mean to my Waddle Dees!
[To the WADDLE DEES, pushing them to work further.] Let’s go! Hup hup! No slacking off!
A knight of Dreamland, one of its greatest warriors, stewards, and protectors. Truly, a noble character. While he is looking over Dreamland one day, he notices that it has all been turned into crafty materials. Soon after, he is cursed by Yin-Yarn. After the curse, he is quick to own up to his brief misdeeds.
Voice should be low to medium in pitch. He is a very serious character who isn’t terribly expressive. Much like DeDeDe, while I am open to hearing individual interpretations based on this description, a mimic of the Kirby: Right Back At Ya! official English dub’s Meta Knight voice is close to what I would like.

[To himself as he looks out from the Battleship Halberd looking out into a fabricated Dreamland.] Patches… And stitching everywhere?! What monster would do such a thing?
[To KIRBY, warning him of YIN-YARN.] Be careful, Kirby. Yin-Yarn is one mean piece of string!
A singular Waddle Dee, one of King DeDeDe's numerous, small minions. This one, along with many others, have been brainwashed by Yin-Yarn.
Voice should be medium to medium-high in pitch. I am open to interpretations and the gender of the voice actor, so long as the character embodies a small, creature underling.
