Shiro Amano's manga of the Kingdom Hearts series is made with so much love. After hearing rumors about a Kingdom Hearts television series (possibly on Disney+), I suddenly found inspiration to want to bring the first chapter of the first book to life! Sure, you can watch the video game cutscenes, but I feel as though Shiro Amano's interpretation of the story gives us a fresher take on the series as a whole. I also think it's safe to assume that whether or not Kingdom Hearts would ever make it to Disney+, there's an extremely high chance that it won't be based on this manga!
At the end of the day, I'm a Kingdom Hearts fan. This small pilot episode is just a fun hobby that I wanted to work on.
When it comes to auditions, please only submit if you have good quality sound. (no echo's, not too much white noise) I don't need you to have a high quality studio, just something that I can work with!

In Shiro Amano's manga, Sora has a lot more expressions. Don't be afraid to enter that stereotypical anime shonen main character voice. Remember, this is KH 1 Sora. Not KH 2. Younger shonen characters are better!
If you can do a Haley Joel Osment Sora impression, that's cool! But I'm more concerned on whether or not you can act! So it doesn't have to be a voice match!

Riku is very similar to his video game version. Cool teenager who has problems with the darkness in his heart. Think Sasuke. Doesn't have to be a voice match to the original voice. As long as your performance rocks it!
