Description
This is a re-dubbing of the first part of JoJo's Bizarre adventure. A series known for its over the top plot and characters. This will be an ongoing project hopefully covering up to the latest part Jojolion. This audition however is purely for the first part of the series Phantom Blood.
Plot
The plot of Phantom Blood is Young Johnathan Joestar gets his life ruin by his new step-brother Dio Brando. Dio comes into Johnathan's life after his father, Dario pickpockets what he thought to be a dead George Joestar, Johnathan's father. When Johnathan and Dio are young Dio's Father dies of an illness and sends Dio to live with the Joestars since George believed his life was saved by Dario and thus he owes it to him. After arriving Dio spends every waking second turning everyone on Johnathan to assert his dominance. All of this comes to a head when, in their young adult life Dio uses the power of a stone mask to become a vampire. It's a battle of good vs. evil in this epic tale!

I may need you to voice extras or other characters if you get casted. If I liked your audition but not for that character I might add you on as an extra voice.
Johnathan Joestar is the loveable gentleman who just can't catch a break! He uses the ability of ripple to beat his undead enemies in hand to hand combat. I would like a mid-low range male voice with some serious power while also having a soft and caring side.
"Leave me alone! Go away! I didn't attack them for your sake! I want to be a true gentleman! You were a Damsel in Distress, a true gentleman needs to be brave enough to go into a fight he know he'll lose. But one day... I'll be strong enough to win..." (This is after he fights off some hooligans as a young boy of around 12 and loses. I want upset yet determined in the line delivery)
"How my heart resonates! I'm pulsing with heat and life! My very blood is a symphony within me! SUNLIGHT YELLOW OVERDRIVE!" ( This is a finishing blow during a fight. he has just overcome many obstacles but now how good control over Hamon. I want this to be triumphant and powerful)
"Farewell... to you... my beloved..." (This line needs to be sad as possible. I want slow speech of a man who knows he will never see the woman he loves ever again)
Dio is the main antagonist of JoJo starting with Phantom blood. He is cocky and rude but also can put on a front of polite when swaying George to his side. I need someone who can go from calm to yelling in an instant. Voice range to be about mid with some power behind it.
"You're ugly and disgusting. You drove mother to an early death. You're the worst father ever! You want me to be rich? Oh, yes... And I will use any means necessary for that... starting with this Joestar family! Trash! *spits on Dario's gravestone* No one will bring me down..." (This should be filled to the brim with spite)
"Have you ever kissed JoJo before? Guess not... That means your first kiss wasn't with JoJo! It was with me, Dio!" (the oh so famous line. This is the climax of Dio's torture. After a childhood of doing so much evil he finally steals Johnathan's last hope of Erina. Put a lot of power and triumph in the delivery.
"No matter how you struggle, there are always limits of what a human can do. The Hamon training is muda! Muda! Muda! Muda! Muda! Muda! MUDA!! Can a monkey stand against a human!? Compared to me, Dio, you are but a monkey, JoJo!!" (quick note: muda is translated into useless from Japanese but since it is so iconic I left it as muda. Have these lines be cocky as a get out. They should start off as just regular volume but by mudas it is just straight up yelling)
Erina is Johnathan's first girlfriend who he's known since they were children. She is timid and kind hearted. For this role I want her to be kind of soft spoken, with a vocal range of high-mid.
What is it? This room isn't allowing any visitors. We can look after him well enough. Come back at a later date. (This is said while she is acting as Johnathan's nurse. It's very blunt with not much emotion)
These are tears of happiness... because you are here with me. (this is said on Johnathan's and Erina's honeymoon. It's said with pure joy and bliss)
H-How is such nobility even possible? You're willing to die, and only to save the life of someone else's child! Your courage can be so cruel! All that I wish for is to die by your side! (This is said as Johnathan is slowly dying. This is said with sadness and anger)
Speedwagon is a true gentleman at heart who lived in a place devoid of them. He was saved after fighting Johnathan who awoke his gentlemanly spirit moving him to pledge his life to the Joestars. I want a pretty rugged voice with a range of mid-low
"You're wrong! All that was good in that man, he passed it along to Jonathan, every bit of it! You can be sure JoJo's gonna live an upright life, using what his father gave him. Rich folks are rubbish. Watching 'em flounce around, I wanna throw the whole lot of them into the Thames! But not the Joestars. They're heroic and merciful and, just... the whole damn lot of them are giants among men!" (This is said with slight anger and overwhelming sincerity)
Stop everyone! If you touch this gentleman, I, Speedwagon won't forgive you! (said after Johnathan shows how much of a gentleman he is in their fight. Say it with a commanding urgency)
This is so great, I hope you two will be happy. I'll always be there for you guys. If you need me, I'll come no matter where it is. Though I might just get in the way. (This line is said when he sends Johnathan and Erina off on their honeymoon. It is said with joy and sincerity)
He is a minor character who helps the Jo-squad on their quest after his village is overrun by zombies
"It hurt a lot.... but I'm still in one piece.... So it's fine! (this is after he gets hit against a wall in the fight against Tarkus. It's pained but determined)
"Just think of what's gonna happen to windknights if these monsters win. If that JoJo guy gets killed in here they'll attack us next! What if they hurt sis? I have to keep her safe! No matter what!" (This is Poco talking to himself as he goes to help Johnathan fight Tarkus. It is worried but courageous.)
George is the father of Johnathan and adopted father of Dio. He is rude to Johnathan but has an extreme fondness for Dio. For his voice I want older gentlemen with a mid voice.
You got it wrong again, JoJo! This is the sixth time! You've made the same basic mistake six times! I'll keep this up until you understand! Look at Dio! He answered all 20 questions correctly! (This is said while he is schooling The children. I want anger and disappointment)
Ever since Dio arrived, I've realised that I've been spoiling you! Look at Dio! His table manners are perfect!(This is said after a montage of Johnathan messing up and George getting mad. I want relisation and strictness in the delivery)
JoJo, it is not bad... to die in the arms... of your son...( This is said after he was stabbed by Dio. I want remorse and love in the delivery)
This is Johnathan's Hamon trainer, he has an older voice from mid-high range
"Being brave is knowing fear! Making fear your own! Losing your breath is fear! But when you control your fear, you can breathe regularly! The Ripple breathing is the result of being brave! Human praise is the praise of human bravery! Human greatness is the greatness of bravery! However strong they may be, these zombies do not know bravery! They are just like fleas!" (This is during his teachings of Johnathan. Give me confidence and triumph)
"I am Baron Zeppeli; you cannot defeat the Stone Mask with bravery alone!" (His introduction to Johnathan. make it blunt)
"JoJo, continue my will...!! Supreme Deep Pass Overdrive!" (Him transfering his life energy to Johnathan before he dies. Strong and somber. I want the supreme deep pass overdrive to be shouted with passion!)
The first real foe Johnathan must face. He is a revived night of the queens army. He respects nobility and just wants a true fight. For him I need power and wisdom in his voice and a range of mid-low.
"This time it's ability against ability! Skill against skill! Mind against mind! Fight me, Bruford, with your all!" (This is said as he starts to fight JoJo. I need confidence and excitement)
“Heheh... this pain is proof of life. If you feel pain, you can feel joy. That's what humanity means.” (This is said as he starts to regain his humanity. I want sincerity and regret)
"I feel strangely at peace. I no longer resent the world... in my very last moment, I could meet this great man, this warm human... I'm ready to meet my queen." (This is his death scene. I want sadness and peace)
He is an associate of Bluford who also fights JoJo. I want grizzled and Gravely. He will shout basically every line. low range for this one.
"Don't make me laugh! Broken bones? I'll make mincemeat out of you!" (said while fighting the Jo-squad. Shouty and cocky)
"I'm an elite at slaughter! I create death and destruction by force!" (shouty and cocky)
The narrator for the whole show. All I need is a easy to understand voice and listen to voice.
"This is the tale of two young men. Their destinies bound to intersect and the stone mask that changes their fates forever."
"Erina Joestar was soon rescued afloat near the canary islands and the book of the stone mask was closed. For a time. But that was only the beginning! Of a new, Bizarre Adventure!
I can kind of edit but not all to well so we will need an extra editor.
